I never thought I would see myself playing blues but this program has me feeling more and more comfortable as I progress. A definite must if you want play blues or be a well rounded guitar player.

The feedback is great but the way Karl teaches is excellent. The structured pathways are perfect.

With other learning styles from other apps I was not retaining songs or consistency.
The way the lessons are structured and how we work on pretty much one song I am able to break down other songs and learn them as well as retaining them.

I feel more confident as a beginner. I was using other apps for 9 months and I did learn but not in depth and detail.

My only change - the ability to print tabs.

I am looking forward to the app.

I am hooked and will be staying with Pickup for a very long time.

I have been playing for a few years via you tube and could not really sit and play a song entirely. I started this program at the very beginning and for the first time was able to make a C Chord ring true. Played the Journey song without issue and have been consistently getting better at strumming. Im only at 3 now and feel waaay more confident, and am enjoying the ride.

I'm really liking getting into the strum patterns and keeping up with timing. Plus all chord and barre chord changes are challenging. And the songs are fun to learn. I feel my stumming is getting better and better as I progress (drive the bus!).

So far so good , I am 1 week into membership and cannot complain about anything ! Learning pathway as a beginner is great, also performance feedbacks come really in handy. Different instructors for different classes and great community :)

Great instructors giving sound technical instruction in music theory. It's all great but as a blues and Jazz enthusiast love Seth Rosenblum's Blues course which I hope there's more to come. Highly recommended.

The best guitar learning website ive used. I came into this as a "Late Beginner" having tried GuitarTricks, Guitareo and fender play over the last couple of years and this is by far the best one.

The pathways are clear, each video is short bitesized and takes its time to go through each skill

Most importantly the lessons are fun, really enjoy the jams at the end of each lesson

I can really see the progress every day. It ist a great pathway with a lot of really useful exercises.
I can recomend a 100%

This CAGED series has been fantastic. I feel like the fretboard is finally unlocking for me for the first time.

Fantastic- I’d really struggled with the inconsistent pace of some other online resources. This one moved at the right speed, with helpful and inspiring material at the right level to demonstrate the lessons.

I already wrote a review when I had just been using Pickup Music for a month. I recommended it then and I'm recommending it even more now, after half a year. I'm finishing their Late Beginner Pathway at this point, and the whole platform is a perfect blend of challenge, amusement and engagement through community. There are tons of materials to practice, but their structured pathways approach is just what I needed to feel committed and make progress in my playing. I just can say that I'm delighted with Pickup Music.

This course has dramatically freed up my playing and helped me have a better understanding of the fretboard. I have always known the major and pentatonic scale patterns but didn't really have an understanding of what I was playing. In just a couple weeks I feel like I have a much deeper understanding of the scale degrees and playing more horizontally across the fretboard. Being able to visualize and targed chord tones has also made my riffing and soloing much more melodic.
Some of the exercises can be a bit slow and tedious but it's necessary to get the ideas hammered in. It's not necissarily about speed or technique but understanding what you're playing so you can use the tools provided when you need them.
Overall it was a great course. I think my playing will be changed forever. If you feel like you're stuck in a rut with your playing this course can help set you free if you put in the work. Would highly recommend.

Takes it as slow or as fast as you want, and builds logically in small steps, while giving a good overview and tips. Exactly what I was looking for!

Really enjoyed this lesson with its focus on technique and a continuation of reinforcing touch. Relating the dorian and aeolian to the minor pentatonic scale and exploring phrases within those scales was easy to understand and fun to play.

Honestly much better than I expected. I came into this thinking it was just going to refresh what I already knew, but it surprised me and actually. helped me learn new skills and be able to play a lot more than I was confident playing before.
One of the biggest milestones for me was learning bar chords and being able to actually play them consistently.

Using the CAGED system from Pickup Music, I've made more progress in understanding the guitar and navigating the fretboard than I have in decades. That's probably because I didn't know where to start.

"Empowering" is the word I'd probably use to describe my experience so far. Each lesson is broken down into bite-sized pieces that make the whole process manageable. I'm extremely busy with work and kids, and really look forward to the time I get to devote to this program & process each day.

If you're a self taught guitarist with 'some' technical skills but have lacked direction when it comes to understanding the guitar and improving your knowledge/skills, then the CAGED system (and Pickup Music in general) is probably what you're looking for. I researched many other providers and took a bit of a leap based on what I saw from Pickup Music, and I'm glad I did. The system definitely works for how I prefer to learn, at least.

Fantastic website - having full access to all styles and learning pathways makes this great value - and add in live lessons and tutor feedback too... I love the energy about the website and the videos too, has really inspired me to PLAY MORE and PLAY BETTER !

I like the platform in one month i have learned so much. I hope they would also put in a latin guitar teacher.
