Faulty product; no help from company

Less than 1 year ago, we purchased a foldable Piccalio learning tower on Facebook marketplace because the wait time for the product on the web site was months and we wanted it as a Christmas gift for our son. While I never take chances with my child's safety, I found that the person selling the towers "refurbished" was actually the owner of the company-Ali Tavsanoglu-selling them directly so I thought we had found a great loophole. The owner warned me when I picked up the chair to keep an eye on the bolts that hold the handle bars in place, and that they may need to be tightened from time to time if we folded it up a lot. Which we did and occasionally found it needed to be tightened. No big deal. Unfortunately, the wear and tear of this action repeatedly over the course of a year completely stripped the holes, to the point where the handlebars were no longer staying in and became a real safety hazard for our 2 year old. I reached out to the owner to ask if we could get replacement parts and was immediately blocked on Facebook. So I then reached out directly to Piccalio, even offering to pay for the parts, understanding that our purchasing circumstance was unusual and not covered by a warranty. They declined stating that they couldn't help us. We spent $199 on this product. It didn't even last a year and now both the owner and the company are refusing to take any ownership despite the fact that I have a receipt showing my transaction with the company’s CEO. It's extremely disappointing. If you stand by your products, you should stand by them no matter what channel they are sold through. And the company's owners shouldn't be selling faulty products through a sketchy back door in the first place.

Excellent product for toddler learning

The sage green tower is beautiful! Very pleased with the quality of this product. We ordered it with the safety net which arrived a few days after the tower. The safety net is great quality too. I contacted customer service with a few questions about the safety net and received a response within in a few hours - very pleased with the prompt response time! My toddler loves this tower and wants to use it all of the time. Particularly, the tower is helpful in teaching her to wash her hands at the sink (which she now loves to do versus before!) and of course for getting her involved and helping with several activities in kitchen like baking, cooking, preparing food and a bit of messy play :) All these activities have really encouraged her fine motor skills and is teaching her to become more independent by learning through participating rather than simply being told or watching me. For these reasons this product is well worth the investment and as a bonus is backed by good customer service (which is rare these days!).

Helping my child feel independent

My 3-year-old daughter loves to use this kiddo-friendly knife (*my* knife, mama!); it helps her feel so empowered and confident as she helps me prepare meals and snacks. Sharp enough to cut through soft foods but I have no concerns about her hurting herself on the knife. Seller was great to work with; I had a small problem with my first knife but the seller worked with me to resolve it, and the end result was even better than I'd hoped for. Thank you!

Amazing product and service

Amazing! So quick with shipping and the response time for question was fast, too. The wood is smooth and the height is just perfect. Cant wait for my little climber to play with these! Also, I ordered stones with the balance beams as well, and those are still on the way, but I imagine they'll be just as beautiful.

Shoddy product + poor customer service

So far Piccalio has sent us two Mini Chef Foldable Helper Towers. The first was the defective older model. We waited months to be sent the replacement new model. Right away we saw that one of the pieces of the replacement was damaged. Reached out to customer service and they gave us the run around before sending a replacement for the broken piece. It took so long that we've moved and are finally getting back to trying to assemble the helper tower. Now we've discovered that two of the legs are missing screw holes and we are missing several screws and a support bar. I'm so tired of dealing with this shoddy product and waiting on their customer service to respond to our needs. Can't imagine how long it will take to get the newest issues resolved...
