In general the back office has much to be improved for the price we pay

The galleries generally work well and look good but the system has some flaws. A main one in managing clients (if you have clients with multiple galleries, there's no easy way to manage them). The sharing process it's also not easy if you share galleries regularly. In general the back office has much to be improved for the price we pay.
It's also too target for wedding photographers, so if you are from other area I probably wouldn't recommend.
Customer service could also be improved.

I loved the aesthetic of Pictime but…

I loved the aesthetic of Pictime but have found the UX deeply frustrating and really unreliable. Essentials like photo uploading regularly fail and have to be reloaded through laborious processes. After trying to make it work for me I will be switching platforms, its too labor intense and unreliable for the high price.

BAD PHOTO LAB

I have ordered pictures of our wedding. The edges were kinked, and even after complaint the second set of pictures was kinked too. My next complaint was not accepted anymore, because you only have two weeks to write them about the damage.

Won't take responsibility for mistakes

I recently placed an order for $500 worth of products. One item arrived with the wrong wording on it. The site gave an example and provided me a text box to put my own wording in. I did. My cards came with the examples words as well as my own. I asked them to re-do and they refused. They admitted that it was an out of date template.

PIC-TIME DELETED ALL OF MY GALLERIES…

PIC-TIME DELETED ALL OF MY GALLERIES BECAUSE OF A LATE PAYMENT!!!

I’ve had an unpaid Dropbox account for 13 years. They still send me emails from time to time saying the files are at risk — but they never deleted anything.

With Pic-Time, I was just late with a payment and they deleted everything.
And it wasn’t even intentional — I use a separate card for online payments, where I manually transfer funds. I simply forgot to top it up in time.

Clients started writing to me. I lost a ton of galleries...

This is, by far, the worst experience I’ve ever had with a service since I became a photographer.
If you care about your business, your reputation, or your clients — stay away.
Unless you want legal trouble or angry clients, don’t risk it.

Why use Pic-Time and have the trouble of your lifetime when you can use Piieset and for the same price you get, Galleries, Video Upload, CRM, Website, App, and a lot of other cool features?

We reviewed your account and noticed the system has warned you about the account downgrade on two occasions this year.

At the beginning of the year, when the account had not had a subscription for two months due to Dec/Jan lack of payment, and deletion in Feb. That was the time when galleries were deleted to fit the available storage of the new free plan.

The second time, the warnings were triggered due to a lack of payment in June that was delayed for 20 days, but at that time, no galleries were deleted by the system due to a downgrade. I do see images deleted at that time, with the error showing images were moved from their original location during uploads. That can happen if, during an upload, the folders are moved to a new location or an external hard drive where the images were located is disconnected.

Our support team has helped you recover the gallery structures, but if the images are deleted and can't be recovered, you have to reupload them.

We're sorry you don't have a backup! We always encourage photographers to keep a backup of their files on a backup solution. Pic-Time is a Gallery platform equipped with tools to make sales and deliver a great experience to clients through a beautiful gallery design with Images, Store, Slideshows, Videos, and Blogs. We also have a Lightroom plugin that allows you to export an exact copy of your galleries to a backup location during upload.

You can also offer clients a Gallery Backup through the Gallery Backup automation and use that extra income to keep the subscription going.

A ray of sunshine in a dreary situation

I placed an order with Pic-Time and upon receiving the photos I realized that two of the photos did not look professional, so I requested corrections. The two photos appeared washed out. I received a prompt response from Joshua with Pic-Time saying that he was sorry to hear I wasn't pleased but the issues I mentioned would need to be corrected by the wedding photographer, Samantha Webb. He also suggested that I should ask Samantha to correct the issues by increasing the warmth and saturation. I emailed Samantha and received an auto-response that it could not be delivered. I looked at the email address and couldn't see anything wrong so I emailed Joshua again asking if he had another form of contact for Samantha. He responded that I had a typo in her email address, which I had not seen!

I really appreciated his caring, professional and helpful response. He went above and beyond when he even proofread and caught the typo in her email address! I can't say the same for Samantha as she did not respond to me at all.

Joshua made a disappointing experience with the wedding photographer a bit of a ray of sunshine that there are caring people out there. Especially at Pic-Time! He deserves a bonus or a raise!

The best (and most aesthetic) platform available!

My photography business leveled up when I switched to Pic-Time. I began making product sales in a way I never had before which has been a financial game changer for me. Their shop has ready to go sales automations that make offering my clients discounts and running yearly sales (like Black Friday & holiday) easier than ever. Selling prints, albums etc. was never something I could streamline before Pic-Time. The overall look of my galleries now feel professional, modern and really emphasize my portfolio. I notice that Pic-Time is constantly adding new features and updating the platform to be industry leading. I recommend Pic-Time to everyone! Best of the best!

Honestly the most beautiful client…

Honestly the most beautiful client galleries on the market. The aesthetics are professional, clean, and well designed. I appreciate that the Pic-Time team is always adding or refining their features, while focusing on what they do best. It can be a little overwhelming/intimidating to get everything set up, but there are a lot of resources and a great community, it just takes some dedicated time to get familiar with all the options.

Avoid to save your time

I was couple of years with Pic-Time as a photographer over 15 years of experience and I finally gave up and moved elsewhere. Here’s why. Various issues with the disappearing galleries, changing price sheets, clitches in the emailing system etc forced me to be in their customer support far more time than any support time I've spent in my life - combined. I wasted so much of my time dealing with errors that never got really fixed and that made me feel like being in their test pilot program and paying for it. I value my time and so should you. Avoid.

That's the fastest channel to get your questions answered and any issues fixed. We need more info to be able to help, but without knowing more I can say disappearing galleries could be caused by a free account being abandoned for 60 days, or a subscription lapsing and consecutively being on a free plan for a long time. To accommodate the limited storage of the free plan, galleries can be deleted. We'd love to know what you mean by changing price sheets. Our system has an automated store setup option where you can quickly set it up and be good to use it. Other than that, pricing can be updated and will be announced according to the print lab partners' changes that may happen yearly or according to the economy. We'd also love to know more about your email glitches, as we're not aware of this happening. Please, let us know if it was related to Sales Automations or standard system emails, and which gallery was affected. We'll gladly investigate and help you out, should you decide to try using the platform again. Our customer service has proudly kept a very high CSAT rating throughout the years, so even though every software or platform may have trouble sometimes, we're glad to say we hear our customers, implement fixes, and updates according to their feedback as soon as possible! Beware

Beware! It took me 3 months, and 43 emails of dealing with pretentious, unsympathetic customer service to receive a $185 framed print, that arrived crooked. Pic-Time stated, there is nothing they could do since it is too expensive to recreate, and it is not crooked enough to warrant fixing.

There seem to be a few misunderstandings caused by human error while the order shipped/returned/reshipped from one of our print lab partners overseas to your location which caused a longer time to get the order from the print lab. Regarding the print being crooked and any other type of production error, we do need to follow the protocols of each print lab partner to show them what happened and to request remakes. Don't trust these guys

Don't trust these guys. Here's why.
They literally just removed 2 of my client galleries without giving me ANY heads up!!! Literally Gone! Just like that.

Maybe their free trial plans changed. Whatever! I don't care- JUST GIVE ME A DAMN HEADS UP!

Now I can't find these galleries. Thankfully, the client hasn't asked me for them . But just imagine them asking. This is shameful. These guys should be out of business for being so irresponsible.

You had "ONE" job. To keep safe a bunch of photos AND You Failed!

Our system sends several heads-up emails about galleries being deleted due to subscription downgrading and lacking enough storage or having a free account inactive for more than 60 days.

During the free trial, the account is in the Advanced plan, with unlimited storage for 30 days, and then if you don't subscribe, it reverts to the free plan which has a 10GB storage limit for 6 months, and then is reduced to 3GB after that period. Any galleries above that limit would be deleted. In short, we offer 6 months of additional free storage on free plans, and then it's reduced. You can read more about it here:

If you reach out to support soon after deletion, we can still try recovering the galleries for you. However, if it's been a longer time, it's unlikely recoverable. Either way, please reach out to support so we can try helping you further!

Horrific experience Pic-time - Does not care about customers.


I had a horrific experience with Pic-Time. My annual renewal for my gallery was scheduled for June 30, 2024, but they charged me an annual subscription fee on June 27, 2024, without my authorization.

**Update: No Refund was given even Pic-Time claims they have given a refund. According to Pic-Time's terms of service, they are supposed to notify customers that their subscription is about to expire, but the notification I received did not clearly indicate the charge date. This lack of transparency has resulted in an early charge that I was not prepared.**

When I tried to get a refund, they refused, and their customer support was rude and unhelpful. It's clear that they do not care about their customers or their satisfaction. I would not recommend Pic-Time to anyone.

Here are some other alternatives with better customer service: SmugMug, Zenfolio, ShootProof, Pixieset, Format, PhotoShelter, Adobe Portfolio, Viewbook.

Hello! We wanted to provide some clarification about the Gallery Backup Subscription you had signed up for. The backup payment is processed yearly and automatically on the client's PayPal account and through Pic-Time's PayPal account, so we can keep your photo gallery online for you and your guests. There is an email reminder two days before the renewal to let you know it's coming up. It also includes instructions in case you want to cancel it on your PayPal so it doesn't renew. In your case, the email reminder was sent and the payment was processed while the subscription was still active and therefore authorized. Most payment processors do renewal charges a couple of days before expiration, to make sure the card is still valid and if it's not you would have time to update it before the subscription is canceled causing access to the gallery to be lost.

Upon further review of your order case, we've noticed a payment dispute started on your end.
The disputes usually attract dispute fees and may take up to 90 days for a resolution to be reached. All transaction funds are locked by the financial institution while the dispute is ongoing so the refunds can't be processed until the review is completed. If the dispute is dropped and you reach our support team, we can help you cancel/refund the Gallery Backup order sooner as we already got approval from your photographer. Upon cancelation, you'll lose access to the gallery. Our apologies on behalf of our support teammate for not knowing that was an option for this kind of order. We're always here to help! If you have further questions, please reach out to support!

Update: Even though the renewal was processed as expected, a refund was processed.

Easier for photographers but not good for the customer

It seems photographers are giving the company a good review....but the customers on the other end are not getting a good experience. I have found it does not work well, very difficult to access and order from and communication about ordering has been poor. I've also experienced data breaches as I've been sent links to other customers photographs. Photographers should look a bit more closely at what the customers have experienced of pic time.

Update: please see all over reviews as it seems mine is a very common complaint from the customers. All of my wedding guests have had problems with this company. I gave up and asked our photographer to send their USB and we did it all ourselves.
