Excellent , takes time but the stuff is excellent

I’ve only been part of the photon trading community for approximately 20 days and man the value and the knowledge that Matt , David and Thomas provide is eye opening.I finally understand market structure.Of course I am not ready to start taking trades since I am only at the start but I am very confident that with work and patience the results will come. Definitely worth to join. Amen.

Just finished my 1st read of the 140 videos. I very much like your structure and narrative. Makes sense to me.

I am retired, 84 years old, software engineer, no success at trading. But I am like a cat mesmerized by a laser pointer. I love the activity of trading. At this point in life trading is mostly a recreational activity, but I would like to achieve consistent profitability.

I will be re-listening to the videos. I am looking forward to doing well. Thanks for putting this all together.

i haven't even bought the full course...... i have only been going off the free YouTube videos but from i have gained has assisted me more than these money hungry Forex traders. been trading around three years and have never found anyone who gets on the same level as you (as much as photon does), its insane how much just the free playlist has helped me boost my profitability,
WORD OF ADVICE- watch the free YouTube playlist before buying the course, if you even have a tiny doubt it will destroy any anxiety you had before buying!!!!

I joined photon, and the level of academic knowledge that they provide is top notch, as well of the quality of the course well designed. The teachers are there for hold your hand trough out the hole process, and the private discord along the community it’s a great place to learn from, you will not regret if you are serious about trading, Matt and his hole team is the academy where you will have the best opportunity to succeed in this competitive field. I have been trading for over 2 years using different strategies found on YT. I have been progressing but finally ended in a situation of "breakeven yoyo". I knew i was missing the full understanding of the market behavior and the ability to make a clear narrative of the market as well as a well defined strategy with a clear automatic entry model.

I felt along the lessons that Matt is genuinely willing to help. I advise it to anyone willing to seriously learn how to trade.

Completed a 9-month sub to Photon's SMC Course. (Ap'24-Jan'25). A mixed experience with some strong points and drawbacks.

The course is marketed as suitable for beginners, but in my opinion, it is not a good place to start if you are new to trading SMC. While it might initially feel daring yet approachable, the course lacks the necessary bridge between the concepts and their real-world application, which is crucial for building a strong foundation.

The videos are clear when using drawings and line charts to explain concepts, much less so when applied to price charts. This becomes evident in backtesting, recaps, markups and sessions, which, though valuable, introduce a high level of discretion. There's frequent language like, "If I were strictly mechanical, then X or Y; buuut A or B" which diverges from what is taught.

This inconsistency makes it difficult to confidently move from theoretical knowledge to practical application.

For personal reasons, I took two sabbatical years off work and treated this course as my full-time job, dedicating a fixed daily schedule. My intention was to be as hands-on as possible for building a monetizable skill outside work has always been something I've dreamed. No, I am not looking to be a full time trader, nor turning $1 into billions. I joined for I stress out when trading, not feeling confident in my decision making or trust my skills.

My primary goal is not "making money ASAP". Instead, I was (am) focused entirely on confidence-developing a strong understanding of the material to the point where I'd be comfortable creating a framework where I feel prepared to continue my journey.

I completed all the exercises, put in extensive independent work to fill in the gaps, engaged in live charting daily to compare my markups with what the coaches posted (at day's end to avoid any bias), watched each video multiple times-well beyond what was suggested. Despite the effort, 9 months after I still feel unsure about the core concepts, for while I followed what was taught, when I compared to others, there's always a "caveat". This isn't just due to a lack of understanding on my part or insufficient experience, but rather the strong discretionary application nature of the strategies and framework, which often contrasts with the examples provided by the coaches.

I followed the instruments the coaches trade (FX, Dax, US, etc) to stay aligned with the course material. However, I found that the explanations and markups posted often felt inconsistent with what was outlined in the modules, adding to my uncertainty.

I also didn't feel any value in "community learning", for something so personal as trading is. Perhaps it's my age. Questions were frequently redirected to a FAQ channel, some answered by the coaches and lots replied by fellow students, which didn't inspire confidence in engaging further. While I understand the coaches are active traders with their own schedule and life, I expected a little more hands-on involvement from them.

Recognizing this, I purchased a 1:1 coaching session to address lingering questions I have not been able to understand, but it was a really disappointing experience. I didn't get any value out of it, and I left with the same questions and even bigger doubts. I don't need to pay for a 1:1 to be told to rewatch the videos I already watched 20 times over. I needed interpretation and feedback; therefore I couldn't justify to keep investing in additional 1:1s or renewing my sub as I had planned.

That said, I do want to highlight some positives. The modules are well-organized, and their length and language are more than manageable. Matt, in particular, has great communication skills, and his way of explaining concepts is engaging (until he starts drawing). Tomas's coffee breaks are a great weekly addition (audio quality is an issue).

I must admit I'm deeply disappointed with my experience. While I did have a few "aha" moments, they weren't enough to take me to the next lvl. I'm keeping my hopes and will continue working on this dream of mine. Perhaps in the future, with better understanding I might rejoin the program.

One aspect that left a particularly sour taste is the lack of access to the Ed after canceling. While I understand this is a sub-based program and don't expect access to new updates, it feels unfair to lose access to the modules I already paid for (+€1.3K). Being able to log in and revisit would've been immensely valuable.

Overall, for beginners, I wouldn't recommend as the gap between the basics and practical application is too wide. For more xp traders, it could be worth.

With better clarity, stronger connections between TA and PA, and a more personalized support, this program has the potential to deliver much greater value, even at a much higher cost.

The photon concept is delivered with so much that really help me to understand the chaos in the markets and to see where I can capitalise

This system is amazing. Matt explains everything very well, helps to improve my skills. There are statistical evidence's that the system works - I've never seen similars on other courses. It's not easy to learn it but very exact.

This course alone has literally changed my trading and given me the skills to change my life. Learning how to map market structure in this way is a game changer and the course is delivered in a way that caters to all knowledge levels, in an easily digestible way. Matt and the team are very interactive with the community and I have never asked a question that was not responded to.
I had never traded FX before (and traded other assets quite unsuccessfully) and I have now recently passed a funding challenge and am about to receive my first payout. I am consistently profitable and despite still making mistakes, have not had a losing week in 3 months of trading! Like all gurus. He never trade live and so you never know, whether he is a real trader. He does give some Orderblocks at the beginning of the day as Bias, that’s all. That’s what I can do in my own, thanks for nothing. I do not recommend that course. It’s obviously a scam.

Edit: Matt just reached out to me and offered to give me my money back. I appreciate that offer, and I have to admit i wasnt quiet fair in my first review. He provides a huge amount of learning material. In the end, I don’t want a refund. But I want to note that, for me, there is no proof of his profitability, as he doesn’t live trade, and there is no track record.

I'm trading Forex for about 4 years now on and off. Never had a real strategy other than EMA's and MA's following. I wasn't profitable. Then I learned about Photon Trading and what should I say?! I joined first one year ago and left after one month since I think I got the lessons. I joined now the the second time to refresh my knowledge and watch videos about some topics again. The programm is absolutely stunning. Very well produced learning videos which should be watched in order to gain the most out of it. Matt and Tomás and David are absoultely brilliant in teaching you stuff as general as market structure or as specific as POI selection. I got a 75 % SR backtesting the EURUSD in 2022. Now in my trading GBPUSD since the start of the year with a SR of 62 % and average R of 2.8. My strike rate could be higher, but that's a topic for refinement. I'm profitable and satisfied. There are guys on the dedicated discord server who have a strike rate of 80%+. Speaking of the discord. There is room for a very lively and helpful community in the programm as well. You can talk about your latest trades, strategy or even books. As I sajd, I highly recommend Photon Trading to anyone who is looking to sharpen his skills and trading a fire strategy. It's simple, but more so powerfull.

Hi all. I have done a few courses on trading but Matt Donlevey's course is the best by far. He not only educates one about trading but how to structure your entire life in order to be a successful trader. The course is priced reasonably. It is great value for money. His in depth lessons are very comprehensive and include the importance of a solid psychological mindset. I am impressed with how Matt and his team are invested in the student's success. The personalised trading plan, discord channel, promptly answered emails, option for one on one sessions and weekly Q and A sessions all contribute to one's success. Everyone who trades should undertake this brilliant course.

There are many people who are amazing at their crafts but can't teach to save their life. What was that saying... "If you can't explain it to a six year old, you don't understand it yourself.".

Coming into trading for the first time, you're going to be like a six year old: having no clue what the hell you're doing.

But Matt is a brilliant man who truly understands the content because he is able to take your hand and guide you through the twists and turns of the market and teach you how to decipher what it means to tell you.

To me, the price is very cheap for the value you are getting out of it. Don't think of it as a cost, think of it as an investment.

Not profitable

I can’t say it was absolutely waste of time.. yes I learn something but what they are teaching is just not profitable. How you interpret chart is up to you it’s not mechanical how they say.
