This is a complete scam
This is a complete scam. It pretends to be allowing a free sign-up service and without acknowedgements once entered to a contest and uploaded a photo you lose all access to your photo, not even allowing it to delete the photo which is a violation of the Rights to Subject for the Data. Eveyrthing else makes you force to pay for the service and no service teams availe and purely run by bots.

Dire customer support.
They have recently changed the log in page and it is not accepting my log on details that I've used for ages?
I have 3 times clicked on RESET PASSWORD, using, alternatively, both of my email addresses.
So far NOTHING..
I have also sent through THREE tickets to the help desk.
So far NOTHING.
I Am paying for membership on this app but have been unable to use it for days.
Non existent support.
And yes, I have checked my spam folders too.

LOVE sharing my photos. LOVE seeing others' work!
As a photographer since I was a child - I have a photo of myself as a kid, about 7 years old, with a camera round my neck - I LOVE sharing my photos AND seeing other's work. This site is loaded with a bunch of GREAT photography. I just wish it were easier, as such a small percentage of my slides have been scanned. But that isn't Viewbug's fault.

Constantly scaming you into a paid membership. Contests on this page are meaningless. I even won one and the price was to be exhibited in Neil Dankoff's Kandy Gallery and the money for all copies that are sold in this gallery will be handed over to you 1:1.
TO THIS DATE, I HAVENT SEEN OR HEARD ANYTHING.
And i cant delete photos of mine (awarded ones) which is kind of suspicious.
Also i switched memberships on and off and my experience was that if i upload a new picture it will hardly reach anybody if you have a free membership (even with 23k followers).
So try to avoid this page and dont upload anything there.

’ve been a member of the VIEWBUG community for many years, and there’s hardly a day that I don’t visit the site. It’s not just a place to share my photos — it’s a space to learn, to be inspired, and to discover new ways of seeing the world. I actively take part in contests and challenges, which constantly motivate me to experiment and grow as a photographer. What I value most is the genuine sense of respect and support among creators.
I wholeheartedly recommend VIEWBUG as one of the most open and truly democratic platforms for photographers to express themselves.
Spammy and hard to delete/unsubscribe.
Bombarded with spam after signing up. Shocking.
Tried to delete account - this would’ve been a challenge for Sherlock Holmes himself . Really not easy to do. Hidden in the weeds on the app. It should’ve been doable from a link in their emails.

Wow! What can I say about the way you have treated me, a Paying Member. Your actions seem so childish and petty. Lets look at it.
1. I bring up to you my concern about an Image that was 11 yrs old and had won 19 Awards. NOT AWARDS GIVEN BY PHOTOGRAPHERS but 19 Awards with prizes.
2. YOU say that all photographers want to show their whole profile and they dont believe me. So I tell you I have the Image in MY Challenges
3. I go to MY CHALLENGES again and what do you know? The Image now only has 2 Awards. Where did the other 17 Awards Go??
I email you again and call you out for changing the Image to MAKE ME LOOK BAD!!
So I complain on-line and then I get your response which shows your.. ignorance? strong word but... So I have complained about OLD IMAGES STILL BEING USED and in your response you say that you "always try to keep the Contests, and I quote, new FRESH (Thats the word. FRESH) and Fair. And as far as Ive seen in the few months I've been back is that it is anything but FRESH AND FAIR to any of the young photographers coming thru.
4. Its been about a week since Ive been to ViewBug. So I go to my Profile and then to MY CHALLENGES and what do I find?
YOU'VE REMOVED BOTH OF MY CHALLENGES AND REMOVED ALL IMAGES
Anyway, I'm going to keep spreading my story wherever I can as long as my subscription is valid and let people judge for themselves.
And this shows me how you only care about the money. Seriously, how hard would it be to SIMPLY PUT A 2 YEAR RESTRICTION on images being used in contests? Let them use the old images in challenges if they want but leave them out of the CONTESTS!!!

When I first joined VIEWBUG, I didn’t expect for any of my photos to ever be show cased. low and behold, two of my photos have been chosen to possibly be show cased and also one of my photos was chosen by VIEWBUG as a possible finalist in a photo contest! I also love the VIEWBUG community! You are able to leave your fellow photographers likes, comments and my favorite, awards! Awards are awesome! They make you feel seen and give you that extra boost of confidence to keep posting your art! Who knows what the world of VIEWBUG may have in store for you? Dishonest marketing that uses clickbait…
Dishonest marketing that uses clickbait and trickery. In an email heading, they write "Your photo has been selected!" - (they don't have any of my photos - I've never uploaded any).
Their aggressive email marketing spam does not include a live 'unsubscribe' link, instead, they force you to create an account in order to access the 'unsubscribe' setting - dirty tactics. Unwilling to do this, I simply reported their spam to Google.
This is not how to build a trustworthy brand.

Their initial reply states that "all of our emails do include the option to unsubscribe" - this is patently false and I can prove this. Granted, it may have been a technical error on their side - but the word 'unsubscribe' in their email is *not* a live link and alternate methods required me to log in - and therefore create an account in order to do so.
I also note that they neither deny nor address their dishonest clickbait.

Avoid!
Avoid. Make sure to have backups of your photos as your copyright rights are compromised and you have no access to download them even when I was a paying member, and locked out of my account on numerous occasions as a free and even paid member. Im just glad I got a refund as the website and additional services associated with membership are simply non existent. Dont even expect one notification from them as a paid member.
