This pathetic app is not only barely…

This pathetic app is not only barely reliable, it has no customer service at all. It’s a scam. I bought a number and went to sent an emergency text to my son. Two messages went through and then I got interrupted by a Phoner message telling me that I must add a phone number and get that number verified to continue using the number I paid for. So I tried but found out that the only number these scam artist allow to be “verified” are about 5 countries not including the countries I am traveling in Costa Rica and Nicaragua. So this app is a useless scam. I think that these greedy developers created this block to try and rip me off more by getting me to “upgrade” to a VIP number. It’s a total scam and completely useless. That’s verified by no customer service contact of any kind.

Bad experience with Phoner

Downloaded and purchased app. Paid for one year worth of locking a phone number in and bought credits. After two days, they locked my account and wanted me to verify my phone number. I used my personal phone number to try to verify. Their app keeps saying my personal phone number (Freedom Mobile Canada) cannot be used for verification. I emailed their support two times, they refused to fix this error and replied with a generic message saying if I'm having trouble verifying, to instead provide them with a copy of my driver's license as well as a utility bill. Why would I provide these sensitive documents to an unknown company? This wasn't part of the agreement before you took my money.
