KEEP AWAY. SCAM. SCAM SCAM. THEY STEAL YOUR MONEY.
I dealt with a guy who ‘called himself’ Sam. He stole a total of £3090. The First ticket I paid the flight was cancelled. The other 2 tickets I purchased which I was told To pay by bank transfer by clicking a pay’ now’ button from an email. (My bank later told me never to pay from an email, It’s always a scam) never pay in this way. I didn’t travel using any of the tickets I paid for. The tickets were fake. Luckily I didn’t turn up at the airport. Something inside me made me call the airline to confirm my bookings but to my surprise there was no booking. Phoenix Travels send a screenshot of the ticket, not am e-ticket, they put your name on the screenshot making it look genuine as they can. When I found out what they did, I tried to call them, This Sam guy then wouldn’t answer the phone or respond to emails. He calls via WhatsApp only so the calls aren’t recorded. He told me he’s in this country without a visa (strong Indian accent) and is being made to work 12 hours a day, he went on to say he can tell me this because the call is through Whatsapp and not being recorded. When I confronted Sam and told him he has scammed me, he told me that in this country they couldn’t get away with taking money from customers. Oh but they have. THEY HAVE GOT AWAY WITH STEALING OVER £3k from me.
The person behind this scam is either this Sam guy or a man called Olusengun Ajayi. It was his email address on my booking which I only found out by doing some digging. He also didn’t respond to any emails asking for my money back. The one time he did respond he said I would get my money back. I never have been refunded and don’t believe I ever will be, thieving gits.
I called my bank who told me if the money is still in the account they can retrieve it but of course the account had been emptied. I have reported this to the authorities.
The address on the website is fake to, its a residential address. I’m annoyed with myself for falling for the scam, I want this company exposed, I don’t want anyone else to suffer such financial loss and stress. Tel 02033251332, mobile 07451 219 654. The company name is Phoenix Travels with an ‘S’ on the end, do not confuse it with Phoenix Travel. I think there is a Phoenix Travel in Manchester to. Phoenix Travels tell you they are also based in Manchester but I don’t believe they are, I don’t even think they are based in the UK though the website looks very convincing.
