Ordered 2 bags of discounted James Wellbeloved, having purchased this before and also by reading previous reviews I understood that I would be buying these goods with a short best before date, however on this occasion the product was 2 months past its best before date.

Ordered a Keter storage box from this site. Came with no screws or handles etc. contacted customer services a number of times, they sent us the wrong parts to build the box. After 4 weeks they arranged to collect and drop off a replacement box. Box has gone no replacement. Do not use this company absolute joke.
Ordered blue planters received grey Phairs offered me 10% discount plus refund of the shipping costs if I kept them so I agreed. However they did not refund shipping costs they said they only agreed to 10% off the shipping so in reality I have had to pay their shipping for the wrong product would never use again
I ordered a De Vielle Premium Clothes winder kit. It was only once I had fitted it that I realised that I could only wind about a quarter of the line onto the spool when not in use, which is about 4M from 12M of line.
In addition, the first time we used it the anchoring eye on the line gave way and the washing ended up on the floor.
Initial response from Phairs was good and they agreed to speak to the manufacturer and come back within 72 hours. Having waited two weeks for a reply I chased again and Phairs responded immediately to resolve things. For me the product manufacturer was a disappointment but the service from Phairs was good, allowing for the wait.
I bought a planter which cost me £16.94 in total which included £4.99 delivery costs. When it arrived it did not appear to be the same quality or feel as I imagined it would when I saw the online image. I returned it at my own expense (for less than 4.99) and requested a refund. I received £7.96. When I queried this I was told the £3.99 delivery fee had not been refunded. a) as stated I was charged £4.99 for delivery b) £7.96+£3.99 = £11.95 not £16.94 paid c) Refusing to refund delivery costs when goods have been returned within the delivery guidelines is illegal. The Consumer Contracts Regulations state that I am due a full refund of the cost of the goods + delivery charges. I have tried to point this out to the lovely Teresa in customer service but she is now not responding to my messages. So off to small claims court I go. It's not the money now it's the principle. Phairs are breaking the law so not only will they have to fully refund me - they will have to pay my courts costs plus their own and I will get interest paid too. Know your rights folks. I'm sure I'm not the first customer they've pulled this with.
BEWARE!!!!! Terrible customer service.
The courier apparently left a parcel I ordered from Phairs via Amazon Marketplace in a skip in front of the garage beside my new house. The skip was subsequently taken away for disposal with me none the wiser that one box among roughly 50 others might actually be an unopened parcel delivery. I am disabled and had specific instructions to leave parcels in a certain place if I can’t get to the door in time.
Now I know this is not Phairs fault, that is not what I’m saying at all, but I wanted to give a bit of background context to my review of Phairs. The delivery issue sits entirely with the courier used and I’ve addressed the matter it in a separate review for the courier.
The problem I have with Phairs is their behaviour when I asked for help to trace the parcel (as Amazon recommended). They immediately became defensive and wanted nothing to do with it. They forwarded me a blurry photo of so called ‘proof of delivery’.
This blurry photo they claim provides ‘proof of delivery’ is a photo of a skip full of trash from our recent house move and there is no sign of an unopened parcel visible in the photo.
I didn’t ask Phairs for a refund, I didn’t ask them for a replacement, I asked them to open a case with the courier as it can only be raised by the seller/sender.
Sadly, Phairs refused to raise the issue with the courier. Their attitude seems to be: we have your money and we do not care whether your parcel was delivered or not.
They snottily informed me they provided ‘proof of delivery’ and that resolved the issue. Basically their attitude is ’that’s that, so tough luck’!!!
In a few of their responses, they even tried to make out like I was denying it was my garage in the photo, saying ‘You yourself admitted it is your garage in the photo’. Yes Phairs, it sure is a photo of a skip in my garage. However; a photo of a skip full of trash in my garage is not a photo that contains proof of delivery! It’s just a picture of trash in a skip! Honestly, it was laughably the behaviour of a three year old trying to deflect from their own behaviours to get out of trouble.
As mentioned the delivery issue itself is not Phairs fault, but their behaviour as a seller and their refusal to help a person find a parcel is just so unbelievable in 2022.
Thankfully, Amazon stepped in and apologised for Phairs behaviour and offered me a full refund (which I didn’t ask for). When I forwarded Amazon the correspondence from Phairs, they agreed Phairs abrasive responses and unwillingness to help were unacceptable. No doubt Phairs will respond to this review Vicky Pollard style with a load of nonsense to deflect from their appalling customer service.
Buy elsewhere!!
I would rate 0 stars if the system permitted. This was my first time using Phairs and the service has been appalling. To start with my items were slow to be despatched and received. With little notifications.
When I received my order, one item was missing. Upon reporting it I was asked to provide a photo of what I did receive. A very strange and unnecessary ask as you know what I have ordered. Anyway, I did this. I was then asked almost a week later to send a photo of the box my order came on which is ridiculous because why would I have that still after a week? I was then told they have proof it was packaged and so I will not receive a replacement or refund!
I then had another issue that one of the plastic buckets I ordered had a hole in it. I sent a photo of water gushing put the hole as I predicted a request for a photo. They then responded asking for a photo of the underneath...why do you need that when the hole is in the side and water is coming out quite clearly in my photo!
Then then asked if I wanted a partial refund. I wondered if that was a joke.. a partial refund for a bucket with a hole in it? It's not fit for purpose!
Terrible company with the most ridiculous customer service process I have ever witnessed!
Will absolutely never use again.
I will also be speaking to trading standards about this matter in terms of distance selling regulations.

2/3 items arrived intact. 1 bulb was broken but customer services were quick and efficient at sending out a replacement which I am waiting to receive. Would happily reuse this company.

I bought Greenies for my dog at an incredibly low price. I was concerned at first that they might not be the real thing or there was something wrong with them. I searched the site & checked TrustPilot for reviews but could find no reason not to buy them, so I did. On receiving my order I discovered why they were so cheap, they expired in June this year. I’m not a huge worrier over expiry dates as I believe things do last longer but what I don’t like is the fact that I couldn’t see that they were expired so I wasn’t making an informed choice. I find this dishonest by omission & as a result I won’t use this site again nor would I recommend them to anyone whether it’s foodstuffs or electricals, I just don’t trust them.
Bought 3 galvanised steel buckets from them, they sold them as 13litre but turned up as 12l and 2 of them leaked so we’re not fit for purpose. Was told to contact the manufacturer of the buckets!!!!! I didn’t buy them from the manufacturer and don’t have manufacturer details. Awful customer service.
