Petrichor Candles is a small-batch, hand-poured candle studio based in Baldoyle, Co. Fingal, on Dublin's north coast. We're online-only — every order is made to be delivered, not browsed off a shop shelf, with same-day dispatch available across Dublin (subject to stock availability). We're named after petrichor: the earthy, comforting scent released when rain falls on dry ground, one of the most universally loved smells in the world. That's the feeling we chase in every candle — not the sharp, synthetic sweetness you get from a hotel-lobby diffuser, but something that actually smells like the Irish coast: rain on warm stone, sea air, damp earth after a summer shower. Every candle is poured by hand in our Baldoyle studio using a clean-burning rapeseed and coconut wax blend — natural, non-toxic, and kinder to burn than standard paraffin. We keep batches small so we can control scent throw and burn quality properly, rather than scaling up and letting standards slip. We make candles for people who want their home to smell considered, not generic — gifts for someone moving house, a new mum, a friend abroad missing Ireland, or simply a treat for yourself after a long week.
