Renewal quotes are usually sent out at least 21 days before the renewal date. This may have gone to your spam or junk folder.
Premiums can increase at renewal for a few reasons. As pets get older, the risk of illness or injury tends to rise, which can affect the cost of cover. If you've made a claim, that can also impact your premium. Additionally, vet fees and treatment costs are rising across the industry, and these increases affect all policyholders — not just individual cases. Our prices are also regularly reviewed to remain competitive, but factors such as government tax changes, increased treatment and medication costs, and overall veterinary inflation have made it necessary to adjust our pricing to stay sustainable.
That said, we can also look at options to help reduce your premium, such as increasing the excess or bill share, or lowering the vet fee cover.

I am sorry to hear that you are unhappy with your renewal offer. The increase in a renewal quote can be due to many factors including claim history as well as pets being another year older. We do try to keep renewal pricing as low as possible but we are also happy to make amendments to a policy to reduce the cost should these be of interest to a customer. I can see that a member of our team offered this option, but you chose to opt out of renewing with us.
Through the comparison websites, the quote you have obtained is a slimline version of your more comprehensive Lifetime Plus policy, they have higher excess amounts, compulsory bill share, and there is no cover for any pre-existing medical conditions, and also lower amounts of cover for things like death benefit and behavioural and complimentary treatment, for example.
Finally, I'd like to thank you for choosing Petgevity to insure your pet over the past few years. We truly appreciate your custom and wish you and your pet all the very best for the future.

Bought my cover via the Money Supermarket comparison site.
Cover details came through, checked the info and noticed that the exact birth date of my dog hadn't fully transferred across, details stated _/03/26
I amended the details to say 30/03/26 and got charged another £7 for the privilege.
