Its’s a great Watch
I bought this watch around 18 months ago for my 85- year- old wife.
I found that the setup was simple using the app which you download from the Google app store (SeTracker2).
After purchasing the sim card from Telstra on their 6 month casual plan @ $39, for this you get 110 mins of calls and 114 text messages, these amounts are ample, I have never used the quota on the 6-month plan.
After studying the app, I could see great potential for using the watch as a means of communication with my wife and I, if we leave our mobiles behind, which we often do.
So I bought another for myself, now we can call each other to check on each of us, I have them set so that they answer automatically after they ring 3 times.
Having our extra phone number is handy for my daughters, if they cant reach us on our mobiles they will call to our watch number.
You can receive any amount of calls on the Telstra plan.
We can also keep a check on each other's wareabouts using a very accurate GPS and take a photo of where the other person is, this is then loaded to the app with the watch position.
The watch has only around 2 days of battery usage, but this is not a problem as we charge our phones every night next to our bed, We feel that this is the thing to do as the watch is there for emergencies if help is needed during the night.
This watch is perfect for our situation.
If I had young children, it would be one of the first things I would buy them.
This watch is by far the best value on the market, I know I have looked at them all.
I have a Samsung Galaxy $500 Smart watch which is nowhere as usefull as this one, you can't put a sim into it.

My mother-in-law recently received her Medical Alert Watch. Unfortunately, it was not quite the right fit for her needs, as viewing the time requires pressing the mode button first, which is difficult as she only has the use of one arm.

However, the follow-up service from Brooke was excellent, and we were very grateful for the understanding and support shown by Personal Alarms. They kindly arranged a full refund, and the matter was handled promptly and professionally. Although the product was not suitable in this instance, the customer service was greatly appreciated.

I contacted customer service with a few questions during setup. They were patient and explained everything clearly, including the SIM requirements. The alarm sends alerts quickly and works as expected. Good experience overall.

I highly recommend Personal Alarms Australia for anyone looking for a personal alarm. I recently purchased the personal alarm for my elderly father who has dementia and is falling over more frequently. This product has given us so much more peace of mind knowing that we are in constant contact with him should he need us whether in an emergency or just to stay in contact.
So easy to set up. We are notified immediately with a text to all notified numbers programmed then a call in sequence and a google map of his precise location when activated. Love that we can speak directly through the device to each other. Even recieve a text if the device is low on battery and needs recharging. I cannot recommend this product or company highly enough.

After comparing about five different personal alarms, we decided on this one for my wife's grandmother. The main reasons were no subscription fees, good reviews, and Australian based support. Setup was pretty straightforward, took about 10 minutes all up including activating the prepaid SIM. The device feels well built, not cheap or flimsy. We spent a good hour testing all the features before giving it to her. SOS button, fall detection, GPS tracking, battery life. Everything worked exactly as described. She's been using it for about two months now and it's been reliable. The SOS button is big and easy to press which is important for someone with limited dexterity. Customer service responded quickly when we emailed with setup questions. The value compared to those big alarm companies charging monthly fees is unbeatable. We're paying maybe $39 every six months for SIM credit versus $50+ per month for monitoring services. Really glad we went with this option and would recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable personal alarm.

Got this alarm for my elderly mum. Overall it’s been really good, though we did have a couple of small hiccups at the start. The setup was a bit more involved than I expected, mainly because the instructions around the SIM activation weren’t super clear. Once I sorted that out, everything else was pretty straightforward. The SOS function works well and sends alerts through quickly. The GPS tracking is accurate enough for what we need, and the battery life is solid, usually lasting three to four days. Mum finds it comfortable to wear most of the time, which is important. The only reason I’ve given it four stars instead of five is that the initial setup could be clearer for anyone who’s not very tech savvy. That said, once it’s up and running, it does exactly what it’s supposed to do. No ongoing fees is a huge bonus compared to the monitored alarm services. Customer support were also helpful when I reached out. I’d still recommend it, just be prepared for a bit of setup at the start.

There product is out of date difficult to configure and their customer service is non-existent. There is no phone number for them. They don't answer emails and I wish I had read the negative reviews here before purchasing.

First the company: Really good customer service and easy to deal with. Helpful guidance on setting up the alarm. The Product: Excellent quality, good features and a very good price point. Usage: The alarm proves its worth over and over. It gives enormous peace of mind to both the carer and the older person. I think that it should be "mandatory" equipment in care situations, particularly where a person is wanting to maintain a level of independence. We had to deal with a few emergency situations and having the alarm was such a great help. Thanks so much.

I purchased this personal alarm for a family member and it has truly given both of us peace of mind. Knowing they have quick access to alert for help in an emergency brings such reassurance. Bought a Uniwa phone to escape the doom scroll. It’s a shame it doesnt have a headphone jack because it’d be nice to listen to the radio on a commute but it’s a cute little thing that gets the job done! Staff are really lovely and helpful. Would definitely recommend PAA products if you’re looking to detox from social media and apps but still need to make phones calls/text.
