I ordered an outfit from Pernia for a big occasion, expecting it to be a special and happy purchase. Instead, it turned into a frustrating, exhausting, and deeply unpleasant experience.
The main issue is simple: either Pernia or the designer provided an inaccurate size chart for customer reference. The outfit did not fit as expected despite being ordered based on the sizing information provided. Instead of taking responsibility for the misleading sizing guidance, Pernia’s customer service kept repeating policy language like a broken record and expected me to pay an unreasonable “restocking” fee for a problem caused by their own inaccurate sizing information.
And this was not a small fee. It was 15% on an already expensive garment, despite the fact that the issue came from their sizing chart and not from me randomly changing my mind. I regret buying from them at all.
I dealt with Arif from customer service, and the responses were lazy, repetitive, dismissive, and completely lacking in common sense. For more than two weeks, I received the same policy-based nonsense instead of a proper resolution. It felt like they assumed I could not read or understand their policy, when the actual issue was that their size chart and the product fit did not match reality.
The most insulting part is the audacity of expecting a customer to pay more money to fix an issue created by Pernia or its designer. That is not customer service. That is pushing the cost of their mistake onto the customer.
This outfit was supposed to be tied to a meaningful milestone for my parent. Now, it is just a reminder of poor accountability, careless service, and a company that hides behind policy instead of resolving genuine customer issues.
I will never ever shop with Pernia again. Based on my experience, I would strongly warn other customers to be extremely careful before ordering, especially if you are relying on their size chart or expecting reasonable support after purchase. Once they have your money, good luck getting anything other than copy-paste policy replies, dismissive service, and unreasonable charges that make you regret ordering in the first place.

I had an event coming up on a very tight timeline, and the Vishakha was truly exceptional. The team went above and beyond to help ensure that my order will arrive in time, despite the challenges involved. Their communication was thoughtful, responsive, and reassuring throughout the process.

I ordered a new, expensive designer outfit, but the pants were one size smaller than I usually wear. I’ve ordered from other designers in the same size, so this was a significant issue. When I contacted them, they offered to pay for the new pants and custom duties, but the total cost was $164, including the pants and duties. Unfortunately, they didn’t offer a return option, which was frustrating. The customer service was poor in resolving the issue.
I will not suggest this online shop to anyone. You will waste money and time dealing with them after.

Vijay was especially very helpful end to end. He was very responsive to all of my asks, contacted me immediately of any issues and was proactive in all of communications (eg pricinf, differences in material. Delivery dates). He made the experience very positive

I reached out to pernia for an outfit and was served by Vijay. From the word go Vijay was prompt and efficient in asking me for my measurements. Checking with the designer and getting the outfit made and delivered to me in Australia all within 10 days. I couldn’t ask for better service. Service was beyond y expectations.

Vijay was able to reach out and proactively inform me of the tariffs that could be applied to my order a gave me the option for alternate delivery option. I appreciated the heads up. That is good customer service. Thanks Vijay for that.

The customer service is incredible! For being in a different time zone and the other layers of complexity, I have had all the best experiences. Vijay is very prompt in his responses to my concerns and has accomplished all that I have needed! My last order needed to be expedited and he did it! Always a positive experience.

I ordered 3 similar looking bags from the same brand and I got 1 piece of poor quality. Not only it was replaced by a fine product, it was done super fast as I had time constraint. I was assisted by Arif and he also went out of way to ensure I receive dust bags as well.👍

The outfits took a long time to arrive, heavy customs bill on top of cost. The outfits did not fit according to the measurements on the website (blouses too small and skirts too big) and the process for getting an exchange has been eyewateringly difficult.
