Disappointed with my experience

Really disappointed with my experience shopping with PepperMayo. While I will say the customer service team did respond to my emails, the outcome was extremely disappointing and no meaningful resolution or goodwill gesture was offered.

The biggest issue is how inconsistent and inaccurate their sizing is. I specifically checked the size guide and even contacted customer support before ordering to make sure I selected the correct size, only for the item to arrive completely wrong. I ordered the Sibel blazer in an S/M based on their recommendation, and it was enormous—far beyond an intentional oversized fit, fitting more like a UK 14–16 when I am typically a UK 10. It was completely unwearable.

What makes this even more frustrating is that this wasn’t my first sizing issue with PepperMayo. I had previously experienced the same problem with another order, so to have it happen again despite checking sizing beforehand is really unacceptable.

Their returns and exchange policy is also incredibly restrictive and not customer-friendly. For an online fashion retailer where customers are relying entirely on photos, measurements, and sizing advice, there should be far more flexibility—especially when sizing is clearly inconsistent. Instead, customers are expected to absorb the cost of inaccurate sizing with very little support or accountability.

To make matters worse, the quality simply does not match the price point. For the prices being charged, I expected much better materials, fit, and overall finish.

Although customer service did reply, the overall experience has left me very disappointed. Between the inconsistent sizing, poor value for money, and inflexible returns policy, I would be very cautious about ordering.

DO NOT buy dresses from this site

DO NOT buy dresses from this site. we have return dreses worth $500+, verified with the USPS tracking number for the confirmation on delivery. It's been more then a month but haven't got refund yet and online chat saying that the order has been cancelled and when we talked to live agent, they are saying it will refunded tomorrow. It is torture, harrassement for the customer. I still need to return 2 more dresses. Again DO NOT BUY FROM this store/site. It is scam for refund. Now I am hoping that someone will contact and refund the money

Huge return costs

Wish I’d read these reviews before buying. Absolute rip off charging £20 for returns. I checked before buying and didn’t see anything, lots of information about how easy it is (it’s not) and pre-paid returns labels, but it’s not until you delve much deeper that you see the detail of the cost. As everyone else says, will never buy from them again.

Return charge £20

Ordered online paid £8.00
for delivery 2-5 days for a dress my daughter asked me to get for her birthday party. Unfortunately it didn’t fit, so had to return it charged £20 to return! Even though online company in UK. Absolutely ridiculous! If I had realised this before I ordered it I wouldn’t have ordered. Paid £28 for nothing! Don’t buy from this company!!

A complete rip off

Like other reviews this company’s return fees are disgraceful at £20. Will be the downfall of this company as anyone affected by this will never order from Peppermayo again & like me tell a load of people. If you can’t set up an online company with a reasonable return policy & fees don’t bother as no one is interested. Won’t be long until Peppermayo is out of business!

I ordered three formal dresses for my…

I ordered three formal dresses for my granddaughter. They don't have a phone no. so used Chat and Pippa told me they can be returned for a credit to my master card since they weren't on sale. They didn't fit so I received an approval to return with a label which turned out to be for one dress with an $18. return fee. I contacted Pippa again and she said she would send me another label which I used and she assured me that all three dresses would be under that label since they arrived in one bag. The tags were on the dresses, no stains, not worn, etc and in their own plastic bags as they came. Sealed in their envelope with the label. A credit of $76.50 was on my master card for one dress. I contacted Pippa again and she gave me customer service who said only one dress was in the bag. All three were in the bag. I am out $175.50 but I am going to fight this. Will call my bank tomorrow and lodge a complaint. I have no control over what happened at their warehouse. This is awful for a senior like me when I still have to get a dress for her. I still stick with Amazon, Macys, etc. dependable honest companies. I tried again tonight to contact them and the chat thing keeps asking me the same thing over and over. Nonsense . I should have looked at this site. Please read these reviews before you buy from this company

Accused of sending an EMPTY return…

After two weeks of waiting for my return to be processed, PepperMayo accused me of sending back an empty sachet — despite me providing clear evidence that the issue occurred during internal handling. Even after submitting this proof, they continued to place blame on me. Extremely disappointing experience, and I won’t be ordering from here again.

Wonderful Customer Service

The customer service team was responsive and extremely gracious and helpful. There were some complications with my orders, but they made sure I was satisfied and taken care of. Will buy from this company again!

Awful

Awful. The whole process of buying from here is difficult. I ordered 4 dresses for my graduation, planning to return 3. This was an error on my behalf as I wrongly expected to be able to return these dresses for free like most other clothing companies. However, they require you to pay £20 to return the dresses, and £5 to exchange them. Accepting that I would have pay this money, I submitted a return - the only option is to print a label. As someone without a printer, this makes it incredibly difficult to return. Not to add the quality of items is no better than shein, with items looking and feeling really cheap despite the high end price.

I paid an out $30 for next day business delivery and it took them almost a week to send out my package. They refused to give me a refund for the shipping or provide any kind of compensation. Their customer support is terrible.

The sizing is way off, I ordered a size 4 dress and the dimensions are nothing like the website states. I then had to return it, this involves waiting for them to send a label through on email, printing the label and taking to the post office, all of which they charge you £28 for. It seems like a scam. Be very careful

I had a package that was stolen

I had a package that was stolen, and after going back and forth with USPS, USPS decided to do nothing about it. The order was more than 200 dollars and was for an upcoming event so I was very upset. I reached out to Peppermayo, who was extremely responsive, and explained my situation. They resent my package and sent me store credit for the item that was out of stock. I can not say enough good things about this company and how they handled the situation. Plus their clothing is level 10 adorable, so yah.. long story short, shop here!!

Crappy Customer Service

Ordered dresses for a last minute prom engagement, and I requested expedited shipping for next day delivery. It was expedited through USPS, who has a tracking delivery date of ONE WEEK LATER! I tried to contact the company, and you can only send an email with a 48 hour response, or you can "live chat" with AI - which told me to contact USPS directly. I suspect Peppermayo took my money and didn't actually send the order by expedited means. Never again!

Absolutely awful. Scam.

Absolutely awful. I would never buy from them again.

The clothes are completely overpriced — charging £50 for a skirt that doesn’t even cover your backside. On top of that, they charge an extortionate £20 for a return label, which you don’t receive instantly. This fee is not made clear until you attempt to request a return.

I have also been going back and forth with customer service just to obtain the return label, which has taken over a week. Given that the return window is already short, the delays in processing the return and providing shipping details feel intentional, purposely making customers miss the return deadline. An awful company. Do not buy.

Terrible experience

Terrible experience. I bought a matching set from peppermayo, carefully spent time measuring myself and looking at their size chart to order the correct size. When received, the top was faulty, the zip was broken and just overall fit was way too big. As the skirt was final sale they did not accept to return the item, but it makes absolutely no sense since the skirt is part of the matching set with the top so why would they make the skirt is final sale but the top refundable??? Not only that, customer service had no understanding at all, the sizing chart is clearly not accurate. I bought this to go together and now both items do not work, they should be more understanding in accepting the return. I am now stuck with a cheap overpriced skirt that I can’t even wear. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS BRAND.

Awful experience, do not shop here.

Awful company, I recommend to not use. I never leave reviews, however, this particular shop has shocked me.
I ordered a dress which turned out to not suit me, decided to return it for store credit (cost me a £5 reduction). Then ordered another dress which I thought would be a safe option and would suit me, it did not fit at all. This time I returned it for a ‘full’ refund and accepted the £20 return fee, all for the money to go back onto store credit!! Absolutely ridiculous and seems to just take money. Customer service is shocking too and I have not received any kind of reply during their stated reply time.
