Frustrating lack of customer service

I have been renting through PepeCar more than 180 days in the last year. I appreciate the website is quite intuitive. However, during my last rental a bus from local company bumped into the car causing some damages and since then it has been hell. The company i rented tha car with (recordgo) took the full deposit (1,200 euros) alrhough the damage was probably 300 euros) and told me to talk to PepeCar. I wrote several emails, to the local bus company that agreed with its part, to recordgo that again forwards me to PepeCar and to PepeCar that after 2 weeks , replies and tells me that I need to deal with Recordgo..

Very good experience!

I have been renting cars with Pepecar several times. I have never experienced any problems. Also the insurance works as it should. I once had a broken window when returning the car... In a few days, everything had been paid back to me.

Bad experience

When I completed the booking I pay for an Casco insurance ,but on the desk when I pick up the car they told me this insurance is invalid , needs to be an Spanish insurance red company ,so I have to pay extra 300 Eur for the insurance

On our website you can book your rental car with two types of insurance: basic compulsory insurance, always included in the car rental price, or premium coverage. Our premium cover is an excess refund insurance, which guarantees the return of the excess in the event of damage or theft, but does not exempt you from paying a deposit. This deposit is stipulated, in each case, by each partner and will be refunded upon delivery of the vehicle. You can find all this information in the terms and conditions of each offer on our website.

Under no circumstances may the car hire agency require you to take out extra insurance for the collection of the vehicle. We would like to investigate what happened at our partner's office with more details. Please contact us privately with your contact details and reservation number. Thank you again. Best regards.

Unprofessional provider- record go. do not use them

we could not rent because the provider- "Record Go"asked us to reserve 1200 euro on the card or get insurance of 35 euro / day. Totally unprofessional. If you want us to get insurance, why you booked our reservation with basic insurance package ? Do not use the provider "Record go". I was not able to cancel because this information was given on the date and hour of picking the car.
