Second Review for today. I spoke with a very understanding lady by the name of Stephany and she explained the process to me and what was misunderstood when my documents were under review. I have followed her instructions to the letter in hopes that I can gain access to my savings account. Thank God for Stephany !

Called in to try to get an explanation I don't know why my credit card rewards were taken away and come to a reasonable solution and I've been completely stonewalled at just "no we give rewards at our discretion" and without proper explanation I'm not going to drop the issue and I think that's a reasonable thing to do if you're going to accuse somebody of wrongdoing and take away rightfully earned money. Anyway when being transferred to another department the rep hung up the phone. Maybe it was a mistake maybe it was intentional but it's irritating and unprofessional. I was also doxed for a Better Business Bureau complaint. With no action from the bank and no proper explanation they had left me no choice.

Avoid a credit card from PenFed!
I was a good customer, kept my credit card balance below 40% utilization and always made on time payments. A different company stopped doing credit card business (Rocket Visa) and closed my account, which dropped my credit score. When this happened, without any warning, and in between statement periods, PenFed lowered my credit limit by over 2/3s without any notification or warning. I called to find out what happened, I was told that per the card holder agreement, they will do occasional credit reviews and because of this they made the decision to lower my credit line, and have mailed me a letter to tell me of the change.
When I asked if I could later request a credit line increase, I was told that is not possible and the only option is to open another credit card account.
Horrible business practice!

Checking account without restrictions
I was calling to see if i could get a regular checking account without the restrictions I have now with my current checking account. I've been with this credit union for over a year now. With the account never being in the negative. And paying back a shared loan account on time without missing any payments. I was declined. Which was heart breaking a bit. But the customer service rep was very polite and informative. And my experience with PenFed has been a great one thus far. Minus the bad news of not being able to obtain a regular checking account without the restrictions I have at the moment. Thank you PenFed. For allowing me to be a part of your credit union
I've been a Penfed member for 30+ years…
I've been a Penfed member for 30+ years and have used them to finance all of my vehicles. I called to negotiate a lower rate base on my 815+ credit score and clean history with them. The customer service was lacking, I requested a supervisor and she refused to connect me. I'm done.
Got denied a small loan as a federal government employee
As a furloughed government employee with excellent credit, I applied for a very small loan. My application was denied immediately even though I have excellent credit and have been a member of this credit union for over 15 years. This is unacceptable and was a huge disappointment. I can't recommend this credit union even though it is listed as a resource for federal government employees.

My loan process was flawless and took less than 24hrs to process and approve. The best experience I’ve had thus far when it comes to loans.

Warranty purchase legit?
Person did not give me the information I needed on the purchased warranty, who to file the claim with or anything. I'm starting to wonder if it was sketchy, purchasing it.
6 days to do something that should take minutes
I needed a copy of a tax form. At my regular credit union, this would take minutes. With PenFed, it took three days. They sent a wrong form. When I pointed this out, they said it would take another three days for the correct form. So six days to provide something that should be able to be provided within minutes.
