Broke during installation
I received the order of the car bed quickly. When I went to install it, it immediately broke. The strap came right off. How is that safe if it breaks that easily? I emailed Pelsbarn and I am still waiting any response. Not impressed
After original issue Pelsbarn did send a replacement bed. It came relatively quickly

This is the second review I am doing for Pelsbarn. Why ??? Because I want all dogs to share in this luxury!!! The wide election of product offerings and excellent price points make Pelsbarn my Gold Standard. The quality is flawless and all items are machine washable. Recently, I received their cooling blankets. Again- so pleased. They are my first and only choice for my forever best fur babies. Two Dobermans !!!! (They would be horrified if they knew I referred to them as a “fur babies”.)

Two basset hounds
I have two basset hounds. They ride in my car and even with the other seatbelt solutions, my dogs would flop around in an unsafe way. I saw these dog beds online and was excited about what they had to offer and ordered them. They came promptly and are so comfortable for my short friends and easy to use. My dogs love them, they do not flop and they feel safe.

My mini poodle loves his Pelsbarn bed! I wanted him to be secure, safe and comfortable on the 20 minute drive to daycare each way & this bed is the best. He curls up and rests or sleeps! No crying, barking or trying to get on my lap. Easy to install too!

Pelsbarn service sucks!
I ordered one bed and got one free under their sale . They charged me for both beds.
I tried to cancel and they take 3 days to answer and it was too late to cancel. I advised they owed me a refund or I would send the (free bed) back. Then 3 days later their response was they thought I was shipped 4 beds but they would check with the warehouse. I never got a response back about the 4 beds. I finally filed a dispute with my credit card then I got a message if I would drop the dispute they would refund the $135.20. I called my cc they advised not to drop the dispute. This was over a month ago this started their customer service sucks! I do like the bed but it was not worth the hassle.

I love Pelsbarn! And so does my pup!
I’ve gotten several Pelsbarn products and LOVE them! Knowing that the cooling beds and car beds are such a comfort to my little pup is so important to me. I recently purchased the cooling bed and draped it over her regular bed so she could keep cool and stay cozy. My beagle is a princess and the pea kinda sleeper and so to see her so snuggled up in her bed even in the heat just makes me feel so at ease. Thank you, Pelsbarn!

The car bed was amazing but came with a production flaw that meant part of it came apart on the first use (it hadn't been sewn). The team was prompt in their response and flexible in their solution.

Misleading website and return practices
I bought the REAL orthopedic dog bed for my senior large breed dog. I spent a lot of time researching and a big reason why I went with this one was because the company had so many good reviews. They also noted “easy returns” “14 day free trial” and “try it today - risk free!” on their website so while I was hesitant to purchase a dog bed online, these things made me feel safe. So I get the bed and it’s huge and very nice looking. I was a little confused putting it together but the support was great and helped me out. Well my dog really struggled to get in and out of it, he’s a senior and after he tried once and realized how hard it was, he refused to use the bed. He was sleeping on the floor instead of trying to get in and out of the bed. I reached out to the company and they said I could return it but would have to pack and ship it myself. Well this was a daunting task because this bed is giant, it came compressed in a small box. I packaged it the best I could, as small as possible with my home vacuum and garbage bags and brought it to UPS to ship. I was quoted $400 to ship it back. I reached out to the company again and asked for a different resolution. They offered me a 50% refund which I accepted. They said it would be 1-2 weeks to process. A week later I get an email that they will not be able to give me a refund. So now I’m working with my credit card company to try to get my money back since I have in writing the refund offer that was rescinded out of the blue a week later. Very disappointing experience. The claims on their website are misleading and predatory, and probably illegal. I also noticed there were “reviews” on their website dated 2027, which are obviously fake. So I’m perplexed to see so many positive reviews here. I’m glad others had good experiences with Pelsbarn but I wanted to caution others, especially those buying their larger products.

They are doing so much well. Social media works! I wanted a car seat/bed for my dachshund puppy, something comfortable yet safe…specifically wanted her attached to a seat belt clip. I did some research, read reviews and ordered a car bed 2.0 which came with the strap to attach her. Immediate communication and I had it in two days. Installed it easily and she laid right down in it! They followed up to see how we liked it, and a portion of the $ goes for rescues…so they are definitely doing it all right!
