Excellent durable products and after sales service should you need it

I have been using Peak UK products for some time now and like a 2 piece combination for paddlesports. They have made a significant improvement to my comfort levels, especially throughout the Winter and I use them every day. I recommend having two different sizes of tops, using the larger oversized one with multiple layers underneath. Using them every day I have found them durable and reliable. Recently I needed some after sales support and the company responded superbly. This is really reassuring and I discovered they offer a wide range of repairs should you need them. Highest of recommendations.

Woeful

Woeful. A drysuit at their price point should last more than a season. Not even four months. They do not stand over their drysuits and state that with moderate use which they class as 2 hours a week they will only last 6 months. Stick to NRS or kokotat guys you really do get what you pay for.
Spending a day on whitewater soaking wet in the winter is not fun
Leg entry zip leaked
Seams leaked
Zero customer service
Do not stand over their own product especially zips and seams

Best customer service ever

Best customer service ever. I have Peak UK adventure drysuit. Started leaking at seams after 3 years but was visually like new (very well maintained). It was out of warranty. Contacted service and Mr. Adam told me to send them suit to take a look. After a week repaired suit arrived to my home 😍.

Combi cag disappointingly short of the mark.

Bought a Combi short-sleeved cag for summer use. Over 4 months it faded quite dramatically from a knock-your-socks-off blue to a faded corn flower. Peak claim this hasn’t happened before, but showed no more than polite interest and didn’t offer to do anything. One of my son’s instructors had a Peak cag that faded in a similar fashion and he wasn’t surprised it happened to ours.
This cag also leaked rather alot at the neck. The explanation for that was it wasn’t intended to be fully water-proof (que?), slim necks would make matters worse, and not everyone gets on with latex seals, so they didn’t use them. My son’s is 14.5” which isn’t especially slim. The neoprene around the neck also collects water and bulges as though it’s wearer had a goitre, which is just peculiar.
Finally, the combi wasn’t a budget option by any means at around £150; At least in this instance we cannot say this was value for money given a Yak Galaxy cost half that, didn’t fade at all over 9 months of heavy use and leaked far less. It was just a little heavy for summer use (and long-sleeved).
In the past week we needed a new winter cag and for obvious reasons decided against buying Peak UK, instead buying a superb Yak Riwaka with full latex wrist and neck seals. It has been a revelation, even better than the Galaxy.
Peak’s problem may be that their clothing is manufactured in China, where quality control is pretty much non-existent.
