Fraudulent Billing Practices – Avoid Marlin Leasing Services!We strongly warn businesses against…

We strongly warn businesses against working with Marlin Leasing Services due to their deceptive billing practices, refusal to cancel expired leases, and complete lack of accountability.
In October 2013, our company, Team Lally, signed a 60-month lease (Contract #401-1399421-001) for a Sharp Copier MX2300N. The lease was set to end in October 2018, and all payments should have stopped at that time.
However, despite the lease reaching its full term, Marlin Leasing Services continued to withdraw monthly ACH payments from our bank account (Bank of Hawaii) for nearly SIX YEARS—without authorization. These fraudulent charges persisted from November 2018 through August 2024, totaling $7,595.26 in unjustified deductions.
When we discovered these fraudulent withdrawals, we immediately contacted Marlin Leasing Services’ customer service (888-236-2409) to dispute them. Here’s what happened:
- Marlin admitted they were still billing us, even though the lease had ended in 2018.
- They confirmed we were no longer in possession of the copier but refused to acknowledge the contract termination.
- Despite multiple requests, they failed to provide written confirmation that our lease had been canceled.
- They stated a manager’s approval was required for a refund but never followed up.
- They ignored repeated attempts to hold them accountable for the fraudulent charges.
When we attempted to dispute these charges with Bank of Hawaii, we were informed that:
ACH charges can only be permanently stopped by the company initiating them (Marlin Leasing Services).
The bank could only place temporary holds, which meant Marlin could restart the deductions at any time.
Marlin took advantage of this loophole, knowingly continuing to withdraw money for a lease that no longer existed.
Marlin Leasing Services deliberately failed to close the lease and continued profiting off of unauthorized deductions for nearly six years. Their lack of ethical business practices and refusal to take responsibility cost us thousands of dollars.
*If you are currently leasing equipment through Marlin Leasing Services, check your billing statements carefully—they may still be charging you long after your lease ends.
* Do not trust their customer service—our experience shows they will delay, ignore, and deny responsibility.
* If you must work with them, demand written confirmation of lease cancellation and remove ACH payment authorization immediately upon lease expiration.
Businesses should avoid Marlin Leasing Services entirely. Their unethical practices can cost you thousands.

My company receive a delinquent bill…

My company receive a delinquent bill from this company. I have been trying to call them everyday for the past two weeks and every time I get placed on a queue that says the wait time is 30 minutes, which is not bad and I will wait.

But the 30 minutes becomes 1 hour, 2 hours and the last one was over 3 hours. When I finally reached #1 on the wait queue, the music stopped and so did my connection.

How are we supposed to take care of the bill when we cannot seem to reach anyone.

very bad company we have tried to call…

very bad company we have tried to call them multiple times on the queue for hours and then we get disconnected

Stay away from this company get a sharp from Sharp or direct from Xerox but do not make a deal with these people.

Poor customer service

Poor customer service. Long wait times and when I do get an agent if I get put on hold the call drops and then I have to start the whole process again. It is a waste of time. Since they stopped processing payments via credit card which they did not communicate until I went to try to make a payment. They don't respond to emails. I'm only using them because the printer company I went through are using them for leasing it. If I knew it was going to be this much of a hassle, I would have gone with someone else

Great and professional

Let me start off by saying I was almost a yr behind on payments . I knew my truck was towed for sure when I got back in the country but to my surprise it was . Called in because Sharon been leaving me emails and due to my circumstances I wasn’t replying back . Once I got back reply back and she took care of me in the most professional way . I paid she sent confirmation I wasn’t charged anything extra even thou I was suppose to . Much appreciated all the help and the understanding of my situation. 👍👍👍👍

PEAC Refuses to bring our account current!

We have our accounts set-up on autopay on our credit card and each month, PEAC charges us late fees. We have tried to call and usually cannot reach a person. IN October, I spoke to "Melissa" and she said she would charge our credit card (on file) for the late charges and adjust our monthly payments to cover the fees and "varying" taxes. Today, I receive an email that we are still receiving late fees. It seems to be a business practice to possibly charge clients more money? They refuse to bring my accounts current and continue to charge us late fees. I reported them to the BBB.

I have an equipment lease through them

I have an equipment lease through them. I have reached out to the company numerous times (Website, email, and calling) and they do not respond to my requests. My bills do not coincide with my contracted amount and despite sending my st-101, they continue to charge me sales tax. The invoices that I do receive do not show the payments being applied. When I log into the website, the transaction details do not match my invoices. This company is the absolute WORST finance company I have EVER delt with!

Terrible Experience with Marlin Leasing…

Terrible Experience with Marlin Leasing now DBA Peac Solutions
We have had nothing but issues with Marlin Leasing now DBA Peac Solutions. First, they added fees to our bill that were never made clear with our sales rep when we bought the machine. They eventually waived the fees, though it took a couple of months. Second, they kept adding fees for insurance and late fees for not paying the insurance even though we kept repeatedly sending them documents showing a COI from our Insurance Provider. During our lease term we always paid by check and never gave them our financial institution information to take payments from. Peac Solutions used the information on our checks to take electronic payments from our account without an authorization form allowing them to take such a payment. Third, our lease ended in Feb 2024 and they are still trying to bill us monthly even though we sent a termination letter through our sales Rep Dan. Still adding Late fees to our account calling/emailing and harassing us claiming they are going to take the payments electronically. We have told them multiple times this is an unacceptable practice, and we will be reporting them. This company is either completely incompetent or simply dishonest.
I would never recommend them to anyone looking to lease. They’ve caused us unnecessary stress and frustration, and they clearly don’t respect their customers. Stay far away from Marlin Leasing now DBA Peac Solutions!

Peac solutions should not be relevant

They haven't provided me with any information regarding my food trailer that hil financial sadly set me up with this company. Charging me for services not delivered. Trailer was stolen from the place it was fabricated. Why are or did they pay for it is beyond me. Now the place it's made collects insurance off of it and doubles up when I say oh yes please keep going as they fleece my small business off of my business credit. I wait 45 minutes to talk to a front desk agent. Then get the run around. I ask for information and paperwork and all I get is a bill. I initially needed 43,500 for my trailer, that's it and their banking on $20k over the amount and information is not disclosed on the one that's working their butt off to make a living. Basically it's robbery. Poor customer service and a lack luster of professionalism. I guess I should've read the lawsuits they had previously, because yes they are fleecing small American people. Worst experience I've ever had. Point. Blank. I could go on and on about peac solutions, my reply is go local because this company is the worst. I've been getting the run around for 4.5-5 months and all they do is take from the people.

If I could give them 0 stars I would. This company just keeps overcharging me since my account is set to autopay. Trying to get someone on the phone that can actually answer your questions is impossible. I believe it is a common tactic that companies use to get people frustrated to the point that they give up trying to collect their money. I see many others have been going through the same thing which tells me they do this to a lot of people. I am contemplating a lawsuit to sort all this out since it has become almost impossible for them to talk to me about my account.

Stay away from this company, predatory practices.

For weeks, WEEKS I tried to close my account at lease end. I paid the lease termination fees. The "lease" rolled over anyway and new bills started showing up. Endless time on "hold," several "supervisors," and still, I have a copier that I can't get rid of and lease terms that would embarrass most loan sharks. DO NOT enter into an agreement with this company. DO NOT. For whatever good it will do, I will report them.

Do not trust this company

Please, don't do business with this company. They are not responsible for nothing, just want your money. Read really carefully each word. The agreement state: "This agreement can not be cancelled by you for any reason, even if the product fail or are damage and it is not your fault" They are not good people. I have to pay even without the services, Its not fair.

They steal. They are scammers

They steal, yes, STEAL money from your account, money you do not owe to start with. Company is a complete fraud and scam. Impossible to get hold to them over the phone and resolve anything. They taking double and triple payments from your accounts without your authorization. Once you sell financed equipment and pay it off, they charge money back to you and refuse to remove the lien. Making you to continue to pay payments and charge interest and LATE FEES. I am reporting them to the FTC and filing charges criminal with FBI

Valerie Helped fix the issue

If I could give 0 stars i would.
This company on multiple occasions has harassed me by both phone and by email. we paid off a machine with more than enough funds in our account and for over 2 days the money was pending and eventually posted to my account, but a week later for an unknown reason (peac's words) the money was returned to my account. That same day I received a call from one of their employees belittling me and my business and threatening me with legal action, for the late payments for the machine that I had knowledge of paying of, that same day the employee who spoke to me and belittled me took it upon herself to charge my account $10,000 as if it were money she worked for. I am now speaking with the only helpful employee I've seen so far to try to help me but as of now i will not be using this company anymore and encourage anyone who is considering it to steer clear. I have never dealt with a company like this one so unprofessional.

Update: Valerie gave me a call back and was able to help us with the issue we were having she made everything right and let us know what went wrong and how to solve the issue.

This company violates the Massachusetts state laws on bill collection. They have called me up to 30 times in a given month the max any company can contact you in Mass is 2 times a month the laws from the website is right here below :

Creditors, debt buyers, and collection agencies cannot:

Threaten to call the police to arrest you if you do not pay your debt.
Call, text, or leave a voice message at your personal number more than twice a week per debt.
Call, text, or leave a message for you at any place more than twice per debt in any 30-day period.
Call you at work if you told them not to.
If you tell them not to call you at work, they cannot call for 10 days. If you want them not to call you at work at all, write to them within 7 days after you first talked to them. In the letter, tell them not to call you at work.
If they reach out to you at work, they need to send you a written notice of your rights within 30 days after they first reached out to you.
Charge you for long distance calls, text messaging, download and data usage fees, or similar charges.
Threaten to take legal action if they are not planning to take you to court.
Use profane or obscene language.
Visit or call your home before 8:00 AM and after 9:00 PM.
Visit your home more than once in 30 days for each debt.
Visit you at work.
Send collection notices in envelopes that show you owe a debt. For example, they cannot mail you postcards or have descriptive return addresses.
Tell anyone about your debt. This includes your friends, neighbors, relatives, and employers.

Now…They have left messages on my answering machine at my store leaving specific information about my bills and the entire store with customers heard it. A complete violation. I have contacted our attorney and he is going after them for these actions after this weeks situation.

This is outrageous that they take this matter personally and call my store two times a day plus emailing me on two different email addresses.
The employees that work for Marlin/Peak either do not know the laws or do not care about them and they should be held accountable for their actions.
This happened to me with this company a few years ago and the company was made aware of it by an attorney that worked for Them!!!! When he heard that they left sensitive information about my account on my fathers home answering machine, that’s correct, they started calling everyone in my family about the situation, the lawyer for Marlin awarded me the machine we bought as a result to thwart losing in court because he knew they did wrong, I was shocked. He actually called me at work and said Mr Carlino I’m not going to sugar coat this, we did wrong thing here and we’d like to fix this.

They evidently have still not learned their lesson after almost ten years later. I tried Calling the Vice President of the company after getting a threatening letter around Xmas time 2023 and the asst Sherri Scardaville, refused to let me talk to him.the very latest email sent by Roxanne Smith demanding a double payment now that is not even due yet shows the voracity of these employees. They are only allowed by law to leave their company name and contact number and no other sensitive information about the bill so others can possibly know your information . I have recordings left by them that go on for multiple minutes of time with detailed information and emotional almost scolding personal tone to these messages from these Marlin employees.They daily and constantly sent me messages and call my store every day twice a day from different numbers, one stating Marlin Leasing and the other stating speak Solutions on the Caller id.
They call me every single day about my bill against Massachusetts law that clearly states they can only contact you twice in a 30 period max. These people do not learn…. I have 30 vendors in my store not one of them act like this company. Marlin leasing was absorbed by PEAC solutions much in the way GE Capital got absorbed by Synchrony bank by having bad business practices under their wing, they had no choice but to change their name and ownership so that people couldn’t search for the problems that were going on. That is much in the way of Marlin leasings employees. Judging from my experience with them and what I have witnessed myself and what my employees have told me that they’ve heard them leaving messages, They seem to make their own rules as far as collection efforts go and violate the rights of the consumers ruining the experience of obtaining equipment to run their business. We have kept the recorded messages as proof of this.

This is not going away this company needs to stop this immediately. The Massachusetts attorney general’s office was made aware in December when this initially happened and now that it has surfaced itself again we have informed them of the situation and are awaiting a result.

Where's all the lawyers? These people are loan sharks who amassed a fortune off the backs of American small businesses. Do not do any business with these people under any of the many names they use.

Not happy with this business for many…

Not happy with this business for many reasons around their contract but the last straw was when we asked to change our Direct Debit date from the beginning on the month to the end and was told their was a £250 charge for this.
So that's still paying them every month, just 2 weeks later.
Am sure it's in the contract that we signed but good customer service, it is not...

This company is totally a scam company they set up insurance on my behalf without me authorizing it as i told them i had my own office insurance they keep saying i signed the paper work but that was for the printer on the agreed amount it does say on clause 6 you need insurance I have even sent them the insurance detail but they insist my insurance with Barclays did not cover it Barclays said it did and sent documentation they then told me Barclays would have to call there insurance company as if they are going to do that they had it all in writing anyway this has now been going on for 5 years

Never submitted a credit application…

Never submitted a credit application with them, never, do not know who they are, suddenly get this letter of a denial of credit based on an Experian search!
