PCS were great value for money and the communications were excellent
Katie Scutt was excellent throughout the conveyancing process for my house purchase. She was always friendly, approachable, and professional, making what can be a stressful experience much easier. Katie responded to emails very quickly, kept me informed at every stage, and was always happy to answer any questions I had. Her communication and efficiency were outstanding, and I felt confident that everything was being handled smoothly. I would highly recommend Katie to anyone looking for a conveyancing solicitor. Thank you for all your hard work!

I had a great experience with PCS Legal. Their communication was excellent throughout the whole process, and they kept me informed every step of the way. They were always helpful, professional, and quick to answer any questions I had.
They also provided excellent support with my mortgage, making the process much less stressful. I really appreciated their guidance and efficiency. I would highly recommend PCS Legal to anyone looking for reliable and friendly legal services.

Absolutely horrific company, acted fraudulently with regards to putting a covenant on my deeds without my knowledge, refuse to answer me !! Currently under investigation
I'm going to go on a bit of a rant at the start but bare with me for the review.
I have a little bit of experience in buying and selling homes and have a really low opinion on the ability, competence and also major reservations that conveyancers are even qualified to carry out the role they do.
Conveyancers are apparently meant to guide buyers and sellers through the process on a daily basis so should know what hoops the clients need to jump through.
Conveyancers should also use their expertise to highlight any issues with regards to searches, building regulation for extensions etc.
All this should be done with great communication and holding the hands of their clients throughout this over complicated and sometimes needlessly lengthy process.
Now onto my review. Lauren Reynolds at PCS legal is by far the worst conveyancer I have ever had the pleasure/misfortune of having to deal with.
Recommended through Home Legal Direct.....maybe I should have used a local agent rather than just a search engine type of conveyancer. Lesson learned.
Communication......appalling. The best I have got throughout this whole process is emais. As requested I completed forms sent out to me but in the midst of the email trail it turns out I had missed one vital form (when I say vital it just needed a signature to accept the mortgage I applied for myself)......I was none the wiser and 5 weeks passed thinking why was nothing happening. I was growing frustrated and was trying to chase what the hold up was and we searched for a date to exchange. This was when Lauren finally decided to highlight the missing form having not mentioned it before (again only email chatter). I advised that a telephone conversation highlighting this forms weeks ago would have helped and all I got was "if you need a phone call you need to book an appointment for one". I'm the goddamn paying client, you should be calling me!
This continued throughout the transaction where Lauren would only communicate via email throughout the transaction not only to me but with the selling party and estate agents too.
This communication method was echoed by the sellers estates agents and my conveyancing team selling my property........a very poor practice hiding behind a keyboard.
Knowledge.......appalling. As the qualified conveyancer Lauren should be advising me with regards to any issues/ worry beads that may have popped up in the searches (some are utterly pointless btw) and other requests. All I got from Lauren was searches have been provided, here is a copy for you to read and understand. I'm paying a goddamn conveyancer to highlight issues not for me to try and pick them out myself.
After trying to push for several completion dates, we eventually got to exchange contracts the day before the 3rd iteration of offering completion days. Please note: there were 3 parties involved and all wanted to complete on each of the 3 recommended dates with only conveyancing teams holding things up.
And then finally came completion day.......I'm thinking, can anything possibly go wrong. The sale of my property went through with no issues by 10am (thankfully used a different conveyancer and I even got a phone call congratulating me) including proceeds from the sale paid into my bank. Now the waiting game from PCS...…....and wait....…..and wait. Apparently it takes over 4 hours for PCS to bother letting me know everything was complete by sending me an email (again no phone call).
I was only homeless for about 4 hours, but there are lots of things going through your mind on a very stressful day with all your belongings packed up in cars and moving vans. What Lauren at PCS legal did felt intentionally obstructive and she was downright rude throughout the transaction.
Altogether the worst buying experience I have ever had.
I would not recommend anybody to use this company or Lauren Reynolds for any conveyancing needs. I feel they (as a company and her as an individual) should be investigated, have their licenses removed and struck off for complete incompetence because their qualifications must have been handed to them out of a cereal box.
If it would allow me to give zero stars I think that may be too high.
A huge thank you to Caroline at PCS Legal for her amazing support. She was always quick to reply and really went the extra mile to keep everything moving forward. I would 100% recommend if you want a solicitor who is proactive, responsive, and genuinely cares about getting things done!

Stuart was fantastic over a zoom call for some independent legal advice and witness the sighing of a Mortgage Deed. Thank you for your help. Would highly recommend.

Excellent communication throughout, in particular towards the end of our house move when things got a little tricky. Would definitely use PVS Legal again.

After losing three sales ,due to problems with buyers, PCSLegal were always there ready to go forward again and we have now completed At my age I find dealing with documents " electronically "difficult and stressful but there was often a colleague who patiently talked me through the processes for which I am very grateful .

At first I was dubious about choosing an online conveyancer instead of a bigger well known law firm but it definitely paid off and I would highly recommend. I was immediately assigned 2 case handlers who kept in contact with me all the time with updates and immediate responses to my questions. I had my own ‘portal’ to sign in to with dates of each part of completion throughout the process, this was an excellent way for me to keep track of how things were moving along.
Professional, friendly, knowledgeable service throughout, I can’t recommend them highly enough - with the added bonus of it costing me less that £1,000 when I was previously quoted £5,000 from a well known firm!
Thank you PCS Legal.

My experience with PCS Legal was really disappointing. Communication was poor from start to finish, and there was very little care or attention given to my case.
I was left in the dark most of the time with hardly any updates, and getting hold of someone was a struggle because calls were rarely answered. My case was passed between several different solicitors, and at one point I only found out after chasing that no one had actually been dealing with my file for months before someone else picked it up. It’s no surprise important things ended up being missed.
Even though I provided everything that was needed, including my Help to Buy ISA closing statement, the Help to Buy ISA bonus was never applied for. I genuinely believed this had been sorted as part of the conveyancing process, so I only realised after completion when I was checking my finances.
The delays and lack of progress nearly cost me my first home because I was warned the property could go back on the market while I was waiting for contracts. By then it was too late to change solicitors, so I just felt stuck and stressed.
Overall, this experience has made me question how PCS Legal manages cases, especially when staff keep changing. Avoid for your peace of mind, sanity and confidence when it comes to legalities in your home buying process.
I used PCS Legal for the purchase of my home, and overall the conveyancing process was smooth and well managed. The team were helpful, communication was good throughout, and they made what can often be a stressful process feel straightforward. Based on my own experience, I was happy with the service, which is why I felt confident referring my brother when he bought his property.
Unfortunately, my experience after completion left me disappointed. PCS Legal advertised a £100 Amazon voucher as part of their refer-a-friend scheme, and when I contacted them to let them know my brother was using their services, I was told in writing that a note had been added to his file and that the voucher would be issued once he completed.
After my brother completed, PCS Legal changed their position and refused to honour the referral, stating that his instruction had originally come through a mortgage broker. While I understand companies have terms and conditions, the issue is that we raised this at the time and were specifically reassured that everything had been noted and the voucher would still be honoured. It was only over a year later, after completion, that this was reversed.
I responded to express my disappointment, pointing out that we had relied on the written confirmation we received, but I never received a reply to my final email. That lack of response was particularly disappointing and left the matter unresolved.
It's a shame because the legal service itself was good, but the way this referral was handled has left a sour taste. If a company confirms something in writing, customers should be able to rely on that, and I hope PCS Legal reviews how it manages its referral scheme and follows through on commitments made to clients.

I was introduced to PCS LEGAL after looking online for solicitors to help my mortgage process.
One word which I rarely use would be outstanding! From the very start to finish, the customer service was excellent, communication excellent. Nothing was ever too much trouble at all. No hidden fees, the price is what you pay, which is extremely affordable for a house purchase.
My sincere thanks go to Eleanor and her Emerald Team, you have all been outstanding!

Poor communication, need sto push hard and, go round circle types of communications, serious delayed instead of -6 weeks, end up near 6 months after the auctioner, the purchaser and myself seriously chasing as the purchaser, myself and the auctioner anciety, end up the purchaser solicitor charge the late fees on me, PCS also overcharged me as the auctioner had confirmed sold as one plot as the PCS innitially agree fees for the transaction but later changed three times instead of agreed fees beside their delayed and non committed action during the whole process, no service at all and costs lost money,

We were recommended Stuart and PCS by a friend and, having now completed on our first house have no regrets in choosing them. Special shout out to Maria who is an absolute legend. Thanks all!

I have used PCS Legal before and was confident in choosing them again for the purchase of a flat where the mortgagee was in possession. I am always frustrated at the amount of time it takes to buy property in England, and this transaction was no different - it took nearly 9 months in the end. I felt the transaction lost momentum a bit when the going got tough and there were some delays to completing certificates etc which could have been avoided with a little thought and attention.
Overall, my previous experience was better, but this experience wouldn't put me off using PCS Legal again.

The Mulberry Team dealt with the sale of our flat and the purchase of our cottage. They were helpful from start to finish and my enquiries were always dealt with promptly. The staff were all very pleasant and they made the whole process very stress free. If I were to be really picky the only thing I would say they could improve on would be to keep the portal up to date. Other than that they were a lovely team to work with.

We had a great experience with our remortgage from start to finish. The whole process was handled professionally, with excellent communication throughout, and everything was explained clearly. The whole transaction felt straightforward and stress-free.
We really appreciated how efficient the team were and we’d happily recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable solicitor and will certainly be using them again for any future transactions! Thanks to Team Alpha for their amazing service.
