Negative Stars

I would give this company negative stars if I could. BreadPayment account was opened to finance a membership. That membership was cancelled in under 3 days and that company notified Bread. 60 days later, I am still disputing the charge as Bread will not close the account, even after being contacted multiple by the initial membership company. I am now receiving collection calls on an account that should have been closed 2 months ago.
In addition, their phone system does not give you an option to speak with a representative. Most of the choices are recordings, and if your issue doesn't fit into their options, you dont get to speak with anyone. Beware, if you are lucky enough to pick an option that gets you to a human, that rep will tell you that isnt within their area and hang up on you. They also say they dont have the capability to transfer within departments or to a supervisor/manager.
So not only is their phone system/customer service practically non-existent, they have sneaky and under the table business processes that make it close to impossible to resolve.
Im warning you, as my only option to get resolution, I have filed a complaint with the BBB and if necessary, will be hiring a lawyer. Dont do “business” with this company or you will get screwed!!!!

Horrible company

Horrible company! Their web site kept buffering. After 15 min I tried to get out of it. It ended up charging me for 2 accounts. They told me to call Accuquilt and have them cancel the order. Accuquilt said the order was never placed once let alone twice. They told me to call Bread Pay. Again Bread Pay brushed me off. Don’t know what to do now. Not fair the are double charging me because their website messed up.

Absolutely Useless

Trying to buy a new PC, get the option to use Bread Pay to pay in installments and save a little cash month-to-month. I get the options, but no way to actually continue with the payment and no information on why I can't.

Beware customer service

Bread seems like a useful service, but I would warn anyone concerned about online customer service - which appears to be performed completely via chatbot. Two attempts to get a question answered, two replies that completely ignore the question asked, instead providing irrelevant canned responses. I will say the (useless) responses were very prompt ;) but glad I got this insight into their business practices before committing to any business with them.

Bread Rocks!

Bread gave me what I have always wanted...a way to afford more expensive items by paying over time, despite my limited credit. I have a futon that is made by Furniture of America, that cost $600, and I expected that was made in America...no. Only issue I have had and that is more a merchant communication/disclosure issue than anything Bread did. They extended me substantial credit, I have improved my home and my kids have a better life as a result. Couldn't be happier.

For those wondering: Bread does a really good job of being upfront about all your costs. If you pay the number of payments in the amount you agree to pay, your item will be fully paid off. The amount of interest is virtually negligible compared to other deferred payment or finance companies.

I have enjoyed using Bread and checking out their expanding list of merchants. I've had nothing less than a great experience.

This is the worst company I ever had to deal with!

This is the worst company I ever had to deal with! Had my father apply for them, was approved, then they ask for ID verification, sent his real ID woth current address, then they ask to call, he calls, they ask verification question from some outdated or messed up data base, cause none of the questions were related to him, he didn't know any of the people or places they listed, they told him later they couldn't verify his identity. My friend applies with them, goes through the same process, they ask him unrelated to him credit and identity check questions, he doesn't know any of the people or places, they can't verify his identity, they have 2 unrelated people going through same problem in their system, BREAD DUMB FINANCIAL FIX YOUR STUPID SYSTEM AND STOP APPROVING PEOPLE AND THEN DENYING THEM CAUSE YOU HAVE OUTDATED OR WRONG DATABASE ON PEOPLE! WORST COMPANY HAD TO DEAP WITH!

Basically a Scam. Avoid.

Filled out all information, was told I qualified for a plan. Went through selections on shop, was asked for personal info, including pictures of my drivers license. Then I was told I was denied for unknown reasons. Scam site. Don't give them anything.

They sell your info after asking for an image of your Driver's license

After dealing with their system issues for 2hr, and having to call them and Wayfair they said ok we fixed it! Then i get shown im approved and for how much. I pick a payment plan and then they ask for an image of my driver's license. I give it thinking this is normal and guess what??? They then say you're denied at this time and after several hits to my credit report, which they say ohhh no we don't do hard hits
(that's a lie)!! AFTER I GIVE MY SS# They then within ohhh i don't know 30 minutes or so, sell all my info and then i start getting text messages about me receiving money from Citizens Bank, andf stating to click this link if it's not you!!! I'm getting click bate for scammers now!!!!! I have recieved about 9 emails from random scammers. Not even ads people!!! Scammers!! ... seriously. Not a legit company i feel. I asked why they did it this way, and she stated some people need to show their ID because they seem like something is not right with their info!!! I delt with your system acting up, you didn't recognize my phone carrier, and i had to call multiple times to 2 different companies customer service numbers to get this far, AND MY info seems off?? You get my SS#, an image of my DRIVER'S LICENSE, my email, phone number, house number, CELL PHONE# and then Denie me? I have established credit with other places, my credit is not that bad! But i seem off? I'm not sure what happened here but please be careful with whom you intrust your info with. Because the emails and texts are scammers....ohhh and not to mention the phone call trying to tell me my SS# IS ABOUT TO EXPIRE!!! SERIOUSLY???? BREADPAY we are disappointed in you. Sorry to rant but be careful. The problem is that most people comment asap they get their credit maybe rosy before their 2 payment, so it's not a legit comment if what they sent through. We need more people to actually comment and not just say forget it! Without these we won't know how these companies actually work.

They only take a Drivers License or…

They only take a Drivers License or State ID for verification? That's weird, they don't take passports, visas, or any form of legal identification, only Driver's License and State IDs.

I called to get it resolved and no help they were acting like they cared but you can hear it in their voice they were being sarcastic they just wanted you off the phone. saying " aww I am sorry nope can't help you" I am pissed because they don't want to help.
