My previous payroll was taken over by PayEscape who have been nothing short of useless since joining their platform. They don't reply to emails, have provided incorrect documentation and don't care for you if you're a smaller business. Furthermore, thanks to Payescape I was fined by HMRC for their carelessness. I have no idea how people are rating this company 5 stars, everyone else I know on this platform agrees its useless. Do yourself a favour, find a different payroll.

We recently switched to PayEscape for our payroll, and the transition has been a positive one. Although there were a few initial challenges, the support team was responsive and helpful in resolving them quickly. Being able to prepare and manage more of our payroll internally through the cloud-based system has streamlined our processes and made payroll management much easier. Overall, it’s been a great improvement for our team.

I joined a new company part way through the implementation of their new system.
The project plan was very detailed and any bespoke requests were always fulfilled with amazing support.
Since our go live date, Ronan Rafferty has been my support contact. I can not fault the support he has given, always happy to give guidance and make adjustments to our platform if needed. The system is completely tailored to our business needs.
The feedback from our employees as users has been excellent and from a HR/payroll processing aspect, we are very satisfied too.

Absolutely useless.
How in the name of all that is holy can an increase in personal tax allowance result in an increase in tax liability?

Sick, sore, and tired of payslip errors.
Update: I now have confirmation that Payescape has once again made a mess of this month's payroll. This has affected many people, and they cannot bring themselves to issue an apology.
I stand by my review: incompetent and not fit for purpose.
Further update.
Yet another error by Payescape which has taken nearly 3 months to identify and will be a total of 4 months before the correction is completed. Given the sum involved I'd have thought compensation would be in order.
I continue to stand by all I've previously said.

Payescape continue to make a dogs dinner of my payslips....it is worth nothing that all my work colleagues have issues of one sort or another all of which can be laid at the door of Payescape.
In my case they have repeatedly ignored and failed to apply tax code changes as issued by HMRC. At best a tax code change has been applied 2 months after it was issued and in one case ignored completely which of course means HMRCs tax calculations for me are incorrect and yet another new code is issues.
This miserable company continues with this behaviour into the current tax year a new code issued in July by HMRC was not applied by Payescape in August and I'll be stunned to find if it will appear in September's payslip. That code change was issued in less than 4 hours after I had provided HMRC with an updated salary figure for current tax year....this morning I wake up to find that I now owe HMRC over £200 for tax year 2024/25 this comes AFTER I had a rebate on that year in June. WTAF how does that happen under any other circumstances other than errors made by payroll.. ie Payescape.
It's interesting to know that Payescape cannot function with their own online time sheets software/system which my employer chooses to use and over one year later we still have to duplicate with hand written paper time sheets.
Make no mistake about it Payescape are completely and utterly useless and continue to maintain if not surpass their gross incompetence.
