They way over charge for shipping
They way over charge for shipping. Ordered some small parts for the interior and charged $29 for shipping!😳.Ground should have been no more than $8.for some parts that fit in the palm of my hand. Then, they also want to charge you shipping insurance? LOL! If you don't receive your order, you're not liable for payment per normal shipping rules.
Avoid this place if you can.
I got a belt for my 2009 Ford Ranger…
I got a belt for my 2009 Ford Ranger xlt v6 4.0l. It got here fast at a good price, and fits perfect. I accidently ordered 2, but instead of returning 1, I just put it in the truck just in case I ever need it. Thank you so much. Yall are so awesome.
Went on line to buy shocks & struts at…
Went on line to buy shocks & struts at Parts Geek. verified the parts by online via questions on the site with vehicle description. Received the items only to find out I ordered for a 4x4 and ours is 2x4. Called Parts Geek only to find out I can ship back and have to pay for shipping and a 20% restocking fee. Such a rip off. You pay $250 plus, then get $164 back and pay for shipping the wrong part back. What a great deal. Lesson learned. Many other places out there with better deals. Stay away from Parts Geek! Save money & their customer service sucks too.
Don’t order from partsgeeks
Don’t order from partsgeeks! Terrible customer service ordered parts online sent the parts but didn’t fit my vehicle. Called and let them know. Had to pay for new parts again and was told I had to return original , ship at my expense. I sent part back with original receipt to be reimbursed for shipping like it said on website. Spent half a day arguing my case and they refused to reimburse me.
Wrong/incomplete parts
They constantly send the wrong parts or send incomplete sets. Got a manifold gasket set that was missing one side gasket for the rear crossover pipe and they refused to replace unless I pulled all the other gaskets from the set off and sent them back (at the cost of myself for shipping) rather than just send me the missing gasket. Shipping takes fkn forever as well and is overpriced. Will only be using rockauto/ebay/Amazon and 1aAuto from here on out.
I used to like Parts Geek until last…
I used to like Parts Geek until last week when I had to deal with customer service. Over the last 7 days I called them 6 times. 3 times I requested a call back which I never received. A 4th time I was promised a manager would call me back that also didn't happen. Finally I talked to a person felt he understood, he said I will receive an email within 48Hrs. That didn't happen either. today i called again and spoke to an person (most likely in India) which I had a hard time to communicate with. He asked me if he could put me briefly on hold, I agreed. After being on hold now for 30 minutes I give up on PartsGeeks and will do my business with other parts supplier like Pelican. Mike Wille
Parts Geek, never again!
Sent wrong parts. Now they want a picture of the part and box and have me pay for the return and a restocking fee... For being sent the WRONG PARTS???
These guys are the worst
These guys are the worst. Ordered door hinge kit (passenger and driver side) for my 1997 GMC Sierra. Got them replaced but as soon as I opened and closed the door a few times the bushings just crumbled. Now I have to try and get my money back (good luck) and do the job all over again. DON'T EVER USE PARTSGEEK.
Up date got refund
Up date . After contacting Paypal with my complaint, they contacted Partsgeek and they have issued a refund. But I will never buy from them again.
PARTSGEEKS HORRIBLE BUSINESS!!!!
HORRIBLE BUSINESS, VERY BAD SHIPPING SERVICE TOOK THEM 5 DAYS JUST TO SHIP THE ITEM OUT, FIRST AND LAST TIME I EVER ORDER FROM THIS RINKY DINK COMPANY, SAVE YOUR MONEY AND TIME WITH THIS HORRIBLE MERCHANT!!!!!!
The worst experience with any parts…
The worst experience with any parts store, any! Ordered 7 piece a/c kit. They went through GDP or something and probably had it drop shipped to me. Took 7 days. Got it 2 pieces short. No condenser and an expansion valve. First of all nobody wants to talk to you, they'd rather you tell them the problem so they can put you in an automated support system. That takes 24 to 48 HOURS.
You may get a text entitled stepst to take to bla bla bla bla bla.
If you don't do this or don't do that you may not get your refund etc.
After going through all that we got the rest of the parts a few days later.
Now I find a bad suction line.
Ordered it.
Needless to say I had to wait another 7 days! My customer is not happy. Had to offer to put everything back together without a/c so she could use it, and she's fuming as was I.
Ok whoopie the part came in I can evac, charge and get this thing outta here.
Open the box, I'm telling you guys I'm literally hoping there is no problems and I'll be darned that when I pulled the part out of the box I was surprised at how they just wrapped the part with some bubble wrap and stuck it in the box, WHAT?
NOTHING on either side of the part like cardboard and shrinkwrap for some protection.
I unwrapped it, the GDP package had already been opened and I was trying to make out why it looked so different.
At first I thought it was the wrong part. I got beside myself and called them right away.. I told them that they had sent me the wrong part.
She instructed me about the 24 to 48 HOURS thing.
I'm just so pissed, I got to talk to MY customer now.
Anyhow I sat the old and new parts side by side to see what was different when it dawned on me that it was in fact the correct part but because of the careless way that it was packaged most probably was why it was so mangled and twisted on one end.
It may very well have been a returned part already I believe, as I said it had already been opened.
Now I have to repackage this back up, they want photos, get a shipping label, take it to a shipper and pay to send it back to them, get this, if it not repackaged properly, remember how it was sent to me, they won't refund my money, about 75 dollars guys.
They claim that if it's damaged coming back to them, mind you it was sent damaged, they will not refund my money.
Now I don't know where all these 4 and 5 star reviews are coming from but it sure doesn't sound like the same company I dealt with ok!
Today is day 15, I plugged the tubes, wrapped the expansion valve, put everything back together so the lady could drive her hot trk.
I ordered a new line I'll have it, hopefully damage free Tuesday guys, just 4 days and what really gets me is it's definitely worth the just 7 dollars more to have it in 4 days with rock.
I wouldn't recommend parts geek if my life depended on it.
The prices are great
The prices are great, on time and speedy delivery. Will definitely use again
They ship the wrong part and you have to pay for it! SHAME
I purchased a VW part and PartsGeek.com sent me a Toyota part.
I sent the wrong part back at my expense!
That's not a fair deal. If PartsGeek.com makes the mistake of sending out the wrong part, they should pay for that, not the customer.
Last time I'm ordering from them. Let me go to a competitor!
Shame on PartsGeek.com!!!
WORST COMPANY, & AUTO PARTS ANYWHERE !
I purchased new ball joints, tie rod ends inner and outer, CV shafts both sides, pitman arm , steering gearbox . all break parts. Had all installed by a professional. Every part purchased from Parts Geeks FAILED within one year. My Dodge Dakota pickup is in the shop right now getting every part that came from Parts Geeks replaced with good parts. When called Parts Geeks about all the junk parts they acted like it was my fault, and did not believe a word I said. Treated me very badly. Parts Geeks is the worst company ever. I learned a very expensive lesson.
NEVER BUY FROM PARTS GEEKS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My first online buying experience with…
My first online buying experience with Parts Geek was very disappointing. They would not ship the parts to my mechanics garage location because it was my first online order. They insisted on shipping to my residence which resulted in a weeks delay. Anthony in customer service was rude and impatient. He claimed to be a supervisor and wouldn't allow me to talk to anyone else there.
I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND
POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!
good prices but not a customer friendly…
good prices but not a customer friendly place as far as policies go and woe unto you if there is a problem.
watch for the bait and cheat
Their website helps nicely, the parts almost always fit right --- BUT they sell things without the parts need to install and then charge a fortune if you go back and order the installation stuff --- $80 for 6 screws (sold separately, just ask them!)
Shipped me wrong Part!
I ordered and received the wrong part! they told me I have to reorder part, they would send me return label for wrong shipment ... after reading reviews on Bad service with other customers with same issue, I will be contacting my credit card asap to cancel payment! I would definitely not trust this company! unless you are prepared for similar problems? not worth it! pay the extra money to a reputable site!
Horrible Company
Ordered 4 shocks for a Nissan Maxima. After debiting my account they only sent 2 shocks and now they refused to send the other 2. They're saying that I took too long to complain. Really..! Within 2 weeks after receiving half of the order I opened a ticket and talked to 3 customer service people.
What a scam!!
Never again!!!
Horrible horrible experience
Worst experience ever this guys have no customer service at all. Won't do service with them ever again
