Freewheel removal tool wore out.

I bought a Freewheel removal tool (BBT-5) about 13 years ago and have used it only a few times over the years in my home workshop. The splines are worn out as the metal appears to be much too soft for this application, and the tool is now useless. I just contacted Park Tools and their reply was that it's just normal wear and I should think myself lucky it lasted this long. I have other brands of this type of tool for various different sizes and never had one wear out on me. I also have Snap On and Craftsman tools that are much older than this and have not "worn out" but if they ever did those companies would replace the item no questions asked. This is the main justification for charging such high prices initially, but Park Tools want to charge the same and deliver an inferior product that wears out too easily with no fear of having to replace anything ever, due to their restrictive return policy.
Come on guys, it's a $9 part - you should stand by your products, not make excuses.
