"My arm fell off"
I purchased a ParkerBrand BC-5200 petrol bush-cutter/strimmer exactly a year ago, its had minimum, domestic use but the handlebar snapped in half for no apparent reason. I approached customer services who initially ask me to remove the blade and send them a photo (good start, sounded positive), I did this thereby proving the blade had very little wear and assumed they would honour the warranty. However, they then said the warranty was invalid because the cutter had been used commercially. This was incorrect and they subsequently accepted this but without explanation as to how they reached this conclusion in the first place. However, they then said the warranty was invalid because I had not centralised/seated the blade correctly, causing the cutter to vibrate so violently that the arm fell off!!!! I said utter nonsense (I reckon I would have noticed) and asked why they didn't ask for a picture with the blade still on the machine (i.e. the only way to know if it was fitted incorrectly), they didn't explain why. Anyway, this was their stance. They suggested, if still unhappy, I packed up the whole unit and posted it back for inspection but this just isn't viable/worth the hassle for a £110 machine. This is a shame because their products are very reasonably priced, appeared "up to the job" (other than the arm falling off), the motor is easy to start, powerful and smooth), replacement parts are also reasonably priced and delivery very quick. I was "singing their praises" until this happened. It seemed customer services have a remit to avoid warranty claims even with evidence to prove validity. So the choice is A: do you buy a similar machine from the likes of Stihl which is four times+ more expensive, or B: go for the cheap option (which had this not happened, I would be definitely recommending) and take your chances if it breaks (but again, spares are fairly cheap). I hope you find this honest reflection of my experience helpful. Nick

Faulty Strimmer Blamed on Me – Proven Mechanical Defect
I’m updating my review after finally discovering the real cause of the fault with my ParkerBrand strimmer.
After being told several times that the machine had been “misfuelled”, “over‑oiled”, or “seriously damaged”, we decided to investigate the issue ourselves. My husband purchased new fuel lines and found that the original fuel line inside the machine was broken.
Once replaced, the strimmer started immediately and now works perfectly.
This proves the fault was a simple mechanical issue, not user error. None of the explanations we were given by ParkerBrand were correct.
I want to warn other customers: if your machine stops working, do not assume it’s your fault. Check the basics — especially the fuel lines — because in our case, the problem was a defective internal part.
I’m pleased the machine is now working, but disappointed that this straightforward fault was not identified during ParkerBrand’s assessment, especially after the amount of time and evidence we provided.

Dreadful
Dreadful. Product is a multi tool. Its useless the pull cord doesn't work. It's super difficult to start. When it does start it cuts out. The harness is cheap and rubs on your neck causing chaffing and pain.
The Customer service is even worse. I contacted them on day 2 asking for a return and refund. They said no, which is illegal as its within the 14 days consumer rights act.
Shockingly bad company! Avoid them and go elsewhere.

Poor quality machine and parts
Poor quality machine and parts. This is now the 3rd hedge cutter attachment before even using them. As the gears in attachment were already faulty. The engine was also faulty. Waited a week for a new replacement engine. It's come and turns out it's not a replacement at all it's the same engine just repaired. Despite company website states of faulty within 30 days of original delivery date (02/07/26) am entitled to a new replacement.
The quality of the machine overall is poor. Nothing like what the same one was 3 years ago.
Don't recommend this multi tool to anyone.
Especially the fact got this over 3 week ago and already on the 3rd hedge cutter attachment and a replaced engine already and haven't even had machine running for 30 mins yet.

Great company
I was browsing on the internet for industrial fans for our very warm community hall. Everywhere are out of stock due to the heatwave in UK. Parker Products not only had stock but the fans were of good price. Delivery was safe and quick. We love them, yes, they are rather noisy but I would rather have air flowing in the hall.

the pgmt5200 i bought is an excellent bit of kit, i normally run stihl gear ( x4 chainsaws, a strimmer, leaf blower, hedge trimmers x2, battery pruners etc etc ). stihl wanted over 1200 pounds for a multitool like this which i was not willing to pay for so i thought i would take a chance on this parker tool, i did not think it would be up to much but boy was i wrong it's excellent. i have used the strimmer with the line and the blade and its as good as if not better than my stihl strimmer, it has the easy feed option for refilling the line which is a great idea, the hedge trimmer has been well tested on hawthorn, hazel and brambles as well as normal hedging and has done a great job here on the farm, its easy to start and stop, its good on fuel as well, the extension pole works well and its not flimsy with it on, this should last me years as i run on the stihl ultra 2 stroke oil ( the green stuff), dont run cheap 2 stroke oil folks its not much more for the good stuff and it saves you in the long run, this multitools well worth the money i would highly recommend it
The only thing regretting me buying the strimmer is the weeds!
I've just taken over an allotment, in the UK however it does look like a rain forest. I needed a brush/strimmer. Went to hire one...£95 for the week.
I thought I'd just have a look and see how much they are. Found one at Parker Brand. Only £96!
Went for it and order placed. Arrived in two days.
Extremely easy to assemble. Instructions are perfect.
Boy does it do the job. It chewed through the first part of the amazonian allotment like a greedy kid in a sweet shop.
Both the brush and strimmer attachments work equally as good.
The harness makes using it a breeze.
I'm two days in and I'm so glad I bought it rather than hire.
Oh, and it splits in two for storage which I think is a real bonus.
Safe
Very good axle stand sturdy and well up to the job of supporting a suv while work is carried out. Would recommend for anyone doing home car maintenance
It came and it works
