With A Large Chain, some are Good and some are Not.

Panda Express is a large chain with many franchise owners. Some of them are just awful and some can be pretty good, especially when you are in a hurry.

We eat there maybe twice a year and we know which ones to avoid at all costs. It is a buffet line, but it is not a buffet. They have different prices for different amounts. For example, you can get a 3 item meal or more. They have a decent selection of drinks and the service is pretty nice.

Last time we went, we did take away. We had their orange chicken which was very good, the egg roll was overcooked and that sucked. The white rice was fine, just average, but fine. I did like the shrimp we ordered, it was not over cooked or over friend. It was good.

Parking is pretty easy. They can get crowded, but the line moves fast.

We will go back again when we just want some sort of bland, but decent food.

ALL IN ALL, JUST BAD FOOD

Noodles we're horribly under cooked. Teriyaki chicken, which is usually fantastic, had zero flavor. Used to go there all the time and be happy. All in all, just bad food. Actually signed up for the Panda Express app yesterday and dropped it the very next morning. EVERYONE, PASS THIS ONE OR YOU WILL BE HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED.

Got rid of plant based options in most locales

For me to find eggplant tofu, I have to go out of the way. Gone is the Beyond chicken. We are back to broccoli as the only plant based “protein” option in most of the United States. Way to alienate people who started recommending you to everyone and now has people asking me why I did.

Panda Express, please give us something plant based again. Millions of people live in food deserts or travel. You are letting down so many.

Terrible service

Terrible service, especially regarding their dishes. I ordered a broccoli and beef plate, and I only received two slices of beef! I will not be going back.

I came by here last week and picked up…

I came by here last week and picked up lunch that had been pre iously ordered .
Honey Walnut Shrimp
Later at work when I opened it up for lunch , there was only 5 pieces of Shrimp .
I came back here today to eat before I want home . I explained to the girl what had previously happened .
She DID NOT even say a word … nothing !!!!!!
She DID NOT even offer an
“ I’m Sorry that happened “
NO offer of “ I’ll add 2-3 pieces of Shrimp on this order to make up for it “
ABSOULTELY NOTHING …
It makes me NOT even want to come back here …
I don’t mind paying the price + the extra $1.50 charge for Honey Walnit Shrimp … BUT …. I WOULD like to get what I pay for

Don't eat at this Panda Express

Eating at a place like that my standards are generally low, but the Culver Center location in Los Angeles lowered that bar even more. Louzy service, louzy food and trying to rip me off on top of it by charging me for an item I ordered by they ran out of and the server didn't bother telling me. When I asked her why I paid for an order I didn't get she snapped "We don't have any!" Unreal. Can not figure out why this place is so popular.

Wrong address.

What went wrong is my food was delivered to the wrong address? And I couldn't get ahold of the delivery. Driver, he wasn't picking up this phone or answering the text messages. I called panda, spoke to the manager and he said there was nothing he could do so I was out $32. And out the food he told me to call DoorDash.Because even though the app was panda's DoorDash ran it.The number he gave me was busy all night long!!!!!!! I won't ever go back. There's too many fast foods and I won't recommend it to anybody. They were rude inconsistent.
And I'm on a fixed income and 68 years old.I don't need to be treated this way!!!!!!¡!

worst $10 ever spent

How can they ruin steamed rice? It was undercooked and the rice itself tasted like straight starch. This was the worst rice I have ever tried. The side of broccoli ordered turned into 2 pieces of broccoli that were steamed just enough to change the color but the broccoli itself was still hard and then the remaining portion was all cabbage and leaves from some plant...maybe the broccoli. The chicken and mushroom dish tasted awful... I love oriental food and this is so disappointing... It is really a disgrace to the culture of food because most Asian food has explosions of flavor.

Great place to eat!

I went in panda express at the north Medford (Oregon) location on may 12 2025. The service was great, everyone was friendly and helpful, and the guy taking payments at the end (Ivan) made my day by actually making conversation. The food was super good! I’ve been before, but it’s been a year or two. I’ll be back much more often! Their food is always consistently good.

COMPANY IS NOT CONSIDERING CUSTOMER

Panda express has really messed up the customer service system. Today is 4/6/25 I saw a woman ask for a sample of a new promotional item, the employee expressed it was no longer protocol to allow any samples but they could add a piece to her order for if she wanted it next time. The woman was just as surprised as I was. "What happens if I do not like what I ordered and bring it back?" the woman asked and the employee expressed she "could not tell you what I would do". Either the employee is not aware of what to do in the event of a return which is pretty much an easy answer if you are not the manager, ("I would get the manager, they handle returns") OR the company Panda Express itself does not allow their staff to tell people what to do in the event of a return. Either way this is a company problem because the woman flipped out. "I am asking you what you would do if I bought this item i am not allowed to taste and then brought it back because i did not like it?" The employee acknowledged the womans frustration by nodding but could still only respond with "I couldn't tell you what I would do". The customer asked if there was a manager on staff who could ensure her dissatisfaction was reported and she was told the manager was on a break, the customer turned and asked an employee sitting within the store at a table near me "excuse me can you ensure that corporate or your boss is aware that the customers are unhappy?!" the customer was stern and loud but not being rude or overbearing. the sitting staff just nodded with no words and then the working staff said to the customer "please don't talk to the staff while they are resting". The customer was loud about her issues with ordering and still bought food (not the new item), and continued to ask about a tip jar to ensure the staff knew she was not mad at the staff but this new company procedure and was told they do not allow tip jars either. WHAT IS THE DEAL PANDA EXPRESS??? Why would you put your employees in a position where the customer is going to CONSTANTLY be unhappy and then not allow for tips when there is one who finally is? Why would you create new menu items and have them readymade without offering samples? This woman today was really frustrated with this procedure but i could tell she was trying to be nice to the staff while expressing it. I am sure that this procedure is frustrating for the staff as well.

Nothing To Write Home About

My sister and I visited a Panda Express in our town today for the first time. She had heard a lot about Panda Express and wanted to try it. Needless to say, I don't think we will be visiting there again.
The food was okay, I guess. But I can't see going there when there are Authentic Chinese restaurants nearby, that serve anything you could want, as far as chinese goes. And there is a Chinese Buffet almost right across the road from this Panda Express, where you can enjoy all you can eat for roughly the same price.
Anyway, I can't see what all the hubub is about with Panda Express. Like I said, the food was okay, so I wouldn't complain too much about that. It just doesn't hold up against real Chinese, like the restaurants.
