My recent experience has been…Package Lost, No Response to Complaint - Avoid!

My recent experience has been incredibly frustrating and highlights a severe lack of customer service.
On June 30, 2025, a package with tracking number 01425062030838 was marked as "delivered" by DPD at 10:42 AM. However, I can confirm that I never received this package. I thoroughly checked my mailbox, the immediate surroundings of my address, with all my neighbors, and looked for any notification cards from DPD. The package is simply gone.
I promptly sent a detailed complaint email to DPD Customer Service (on June 30, 2025, with the subject relating to package 01425062030838) explaining the situation and requesting an investigation into the whereabouts of my parcel. As of now, I have received absolutely no reply from DPD. This complete silence is unacceptable and demonstrates a profound disregard for their customers.
When a package is lost, and the delivery company fails to even acknowledge a formal complaint, it's a clear sign of poor service. I am left without my package and with no indication of what DPD plans to do about it. Save yourself the headache and choose a different parcel service.

Dreadful so-called 'service'

Dreadful so-called 'service'.
4 days waited in for a parcel having received texts saying 'sorry we missed you' - as if it were my fault. Each time promising to deliver within a two-hour period the next day. Negligent courier failing to even show up and no explanation or apology. Now it is too late and they need to take the parcel back so I can claim back my money. NEVER use this service - it is dreadful, irresponsible, unreliable and needs to be shut down.

the courier did not deliver the parcel…

the courier did not deliver the parcel to the house, he called a second time and SCREAMED to come downstairs. When I went downstairs, he ran away from me and quickly drove away in his car. He left a note in the box saying I could pick it up later at a store. I needed the parcel immediately, not in the evening or the next day. you can't call DPD to tell them to come back.

I have recently sent a package from…Spain

I have recently sent a package from Spain which did not arrive to my home.
I talked with many phone operators, sent e-mails and even talked with the delivery worker in person. None of them helped me and kept making me clarify an address that was already clarified five times. The package was due to arrive the 23. It arrived the 20 with no prior notice, and when I was still not living here in Germany. The 24 I went on the website and selected the option that said to receive the package the 26. The 26, no package was there.
Some days later, I meet the delivery worker, who says that he is not sending my package again, and who insists that I call the same phone number that did not solve any problem.
Later, I decided to pick up the package from the warehouse (1:15 hours away from my home). The secretary did not let me pick it up although it was there and made me come the next day saying he would call me.
The next day came and I received no call. After making another trip to the warehouse, I found out that the secretary did not work this day and did not send instructions to the secretary that worked this day.
After ten days, and not three, I was able to pick up my package since DPD was not willing to send me my package again.

Welcome to a Dystopian Future

Welcome to a dystopian future where all DPD DE staff have been enslaved by a computer and are unable to think like human beings anymore.

My poor package will be in delivery purgatory forever as DPD keep trying to deliver it to a drop off shop that wont accept it.
Every day they try to deliver it again even though it wont be accepted.
Every day I ask for advance warning of the delivery so that I can meet the delivery driver at the shop. Every day the first communication I get from DPD is to tell me that the delivery failed again.

Think you can change the delivery details online? Both you and DPD are powerless to act as the computer does not allow that option.

Think customer service can help? Their sole purpose now is just tell you that the computer says no and that they are intellectually impotent.

Think of going to their warehouse to pick up your package? Oh no, the staff there wont be able to locate it. Well, how to they find it to put in on the truck? Oh a computer does it....

It does not matter what rational solution you try and come up with, DPD cannot do any of them as the computer will not allow it.
The only solution from customer service... tell the sending company to cancel the package and start a grievance process against us.

If that's not a desperate cry for help, I dont know what is.

Never again.

Customer Service can't change the delivery address! They sent it to the wrong country by accident and let the parcel get lost instead of correcting the address. In addition, they are the slowest service I've seen so far. They advertise with their live tracking and 30 minutes accuracy but no one tells you that the time frame of 30 minutes just moves till evening. There is no precision at all.

Joke of a company

Worst delivery service I've seen yet. In order to find my front door, it is unfortunately required to have 2 braincells. The DPD drivers seem to have only 1. I only rarely get packages delivered by DPD, but WHEN I'm supposed to get some, they don't arrive most of the times.
Service hotline costs something, and you always sit in a waiting loop for at least 10minutes+
My latest package was supposedly "attempted to be delivered" 4 times. I literally saw the DPD truck drive by without even stopping at my house. And then the driver has the guts to mark the package with "Attempted to deliver, but you weren't home".
