This company Pagetrader is a scam...and I have the proof!
This company is a scam. I submitted my deposit and reserved my seat to attend the Oct 30-31st square principle seminar back in Sept. of 2021, and made flight and hotel reservations a couple of weeks later. Then in mid October I received a request from their customer service rep claiming they need to conduct an online background investigation before being allowed to the seminar. A few days later I received an email claiming I did not pass the online background investigation, and after I demanded the reason, I was able to eventually speak on the phone with the owner, and he claims I was being denied entry due to having found some info online pertaining to me having visited some file sharing website where people share/sell/post (trading)courses, and that he (David) was concerned of people posting/sharing his material online. I told him that not only was the report wrong about those findings, but I also had receipts of all the trading courses I have purchased over the years, and also demanded for him to show me the proof of the "report" and the name of the company that conducted said online background investigation so I can challenge those results, which he never did and was hesitant about giving me the name of such company, IF it is real after all. I ended up losing my money for my hotel and flight bookings, and he communicated via his customer service representative that he will NOT refund me the money lost, and hasn't even had the decency to provide the proof I requested from him, or return my calls after several attempts.
Note: He never mentioned anywhere that you needed to "pass an online background investigation" prior to submitting my deposit and booking my flight/hotel reservations, it is not stated anywhere in this company's website and was never stated in the numerous webinars I attended prior. Do your homework before spending a penny with this company Pagetrader, and if anyone has any doubt regarding my claim about this incident, I also have a copy of the recorded phone conversation I had with the owner David Williams as proof, and will make further inquiries in the state of Nevada's Better Business Bureau regarding this experience.
P.S. I'll update this review if I hear back from them and they are willing to make right after putting me thru such an inconvenience and money lost due to their unfounded claim.
12-02-2021 Update: It's been over a month since I filed a complaint with the BBB of the state of Nevada, and as of yet the BBB has not published my complaint with this company in public. That only shows to me how biased the BBB. Buyers beware if/when doing business with pagetrader.
12-03-2021 Update; I finally received a response from the BBB regarding the complaint filed against Pagetrader. So far the accusations and false claims Mr Williams sent to the BBB regarding my complaint, are nothing but a complete attempt to discredit the facts. Ultimately Mr Williams doesn't feel comfortable with me sharing the recording of the phone conversation between me and him, trying to accuse me of illegally recording the conversation and referring to legal jargon in an attempt to intimidate/dissuade me from sharing the recording with anyone. The fact is that unlike him, I am fully aware of the "one-party consent law" requirement from my home state of NY, which clearly states that as long as I'm active participant of a phone conversation, I am not legally required to ask for consent and/or make the other party aware that the phone conversation is being recorded, as per N.Y. Penal Law §§ 250.00, 250.05, and Federal law (18 U.S.C. § 2511).
I have gone over the entire response that this company Pagetrader and the owner David Williams, sent to the BBB in response to my complaint, and I have read every accusation/claim they have made, which is mostly incorrect and/or false, and I have provided further comments with evidence to the BBB to refute such accusations/false claims;
01. I would like to start with a response to their claim "Mr. Rodriguez attended a number of Pagetrader's free, weekly public online webinars regarding our (then) upcoming October 30/31 Square principal seminar. In each webinar, Mr. Rodriguez utilized the false name of 'J*e J****o' along with an email address of j*******o@y***o.c*m." -- Yes that is 100% correct, and I have provided them the same email address I used when I made my online account with the BBB in response to the complaint made, and as far as I know, using a fictitious email moniker/name is in no way fraudulent in any form, as it is a personal choice, to which I would like to ask Mr. Williams if he has proof of any law in existence pertaining to a LEGAL REQUIREMENT by law for me to register to any webinar, both public or private, with my legal name and/or personal info.
