Ozone cancelled my subscription
Ozone cancelled my subscription, because provider of radio signal stop services. Can happen, But again, they did not bother sending an e-mail about that, but only a physical letter. Which I found when I returned at my maison secondaire, after the subscription ended!! Their communcation skills (physical letters, not being able to call a number outside France) are from the Middle Ages. Result is several weeks without internet, and high exta cost for 4G mobile. And they have the guts to ask for € 80 for the Box Ozone, if I do not send back (again only physical letter). Worst provider ever.
Update 14 May after reply from Ozone:
Bon soir, merci pour votre réponse substantielle, finalement. En général, je ne comprends pas que cette courriel et envoyé APRES j’ai écrit quelques choses sur Trustpilot, et pas AVANT. Avec votre méthode de communication des derniers mois (et dans un cas comparable en 2020/2021), vous presque obligé moi de donner un avis négatif. Aujourd’hui, c’est la première fois que vous fournit des commentaires substantiels contre mes objections. C’est dommage.

More appalling service from OZONE/NOMOTECH
Further to my previous review (10 November) and the updates there, now Ozone/Nomotech has sent me a letter dated 30 November but which arrived probably yesterday 9 December, which says that I have to return the Box within 10 days of the date of the letter or they will charge me 80 euros for the Box. Note this is a box which is around 6 or 8 years old and which does not work (at least it has not worked for me - hence my stopping my contract). This is after the correspondence previously where they have charged me a résiliation fee and took monthly payments after I had resiled (effectively so that they had a fund to pay the résiliation fee). In that correspondence there was no mention of the return of the Box or any other equipment which is very old, I think it is defective, and has no value I would have thought, let alone a value of 80 euros. Are they really intending to send my old box out to another client?
They are a complete shower and should be avoided. As I have already said in one of my previous updates to my review, in France you can get an excellent service by satellite from Starlink at a similar price and with really helpful service.

Update!
This response is hilarious. As a result of my Trustpilot review above Nomotech sent me a post label so that I could return this old defective box. It was dated the 24 October 2023 but not sent to me then, and not sent at all until the 11 December!
They rely on small print terms despite the fact that their service did not work at all for months at a time over the years - and no refund was even offered for those periods.
I can find no record of an email of the 10 October that they refer to in their response, nor to a letter. Why does a tech company send physical letters when they can and do send emails? It was only chance that I found the letter on Sunday in time to respond before they charged me another 80 euros for an old box.
I have now posted the old and probably defective box which, as they insist in this response, belongs to them. Pity the poor client who is sent it next. One would have thought that they would have asked me to take it to the local recycling plant.
What is also a matter of concern is that their site does not allow me to remove the bank prélèvement (direct debit) even though the contract has ended.
Just so that it is clear Ozone is now known as Nomotech, so these reviews should relate to Nomotech.
I hope this is the end of this saga. Never again!

Probably amongst of the worst internet…But......
Probably amongst the worst internet services available in France. Very unreliable at times. We often go with the internet switching off for periods, then on again for a short while, then off again.
EDIT: However this company relies on other distributors networks so many breakdowns are beyond their control so it is probably hard for them. They do respond (usually) and on this occasion have with a full apology and explanation of what occurred. They have also rebated almost a half months rent so that seems very fair. France needs to put a decent internet infrastructure in place to give companies like this a fighting chance.

A few good reasons why I cannot recommend Ozone
OK, Ladies and Gentlemen, here are the facts regarding my gripe with Ozone and why my advice is STILL - DO NOT to use this company, because client communication is second-rate.
Ozone reportedly posted me a letter to my address in France asking me to return an obsolescent router (la boxe) and a “line-of-sight” wifi max radio receiver which has been on my roof for 5 years.
The first I heard of it was a debit in my bank account for respectively €80 and €300, prices which vastly exaggerate the real value of this old equipment. No mention or pre-warning for such a charge. Don’t forget this equipment is FIVE years old. My research shows me a router costs €30 and a receiver under €100, and that’s new!
But what really needs to change is a bit of lateral thinking and a big customer service improvement. Ozone management – how many clients do you serve who DON’T live permanently at an address? So why POST by letter important messages like the above demand to return obsolescent equipment within a short time-frame? And we’ve had Covid and French travel bans. I was unable to visit my property for 14 months in 2020/21. Fortunately my neighbour (a permanent resident) checks my post box twice/month. He found no such letter demanding a return of equipment.
What about an email? I would have responded immediately.
Two things Ozone needs to do.
1. Stop writing letters and use a modern messaging service like email (especially for clients en residences sécondaires)
2. In the “Personal Profile” of your client account details, allow the facility to include a FOREIGN telephone number. I cannot currently input my UK mobile (portable) number because it only works for French numbers!
I am at least grateful, that finally after FOUR years of having all emails ignored, they have finally started to respond to client emails. Bravo. One step forward.
And I also appreciate that people at Ozone speak English and read Trustpilot. Thank you.
Here we go again - No Internet Service
Here we go again. I only use this internet service because we am in a white zone for Orange ETC. They sell it as a 20meg service. A joke. We are lucky to get 2 meg most days. Now its started going down around midday on a daily basis. No contact from the company. No stopping taking their 32.50 euros each month. If possible avoid this company. We are now looking at mobile hubs.
UPDATE - OK fair enough it is an outage over most of our area. Not just Ozone customers. And they both spoke to us on the telephone and replied to this review. But the internet speed is still not what they advertise.

If I could give less than one star!
If I could give less than one star I would. I am in Curemonte in the Correze and and have had no service since we arrived over a week ago. Contacting them through their website is a waste of time as they never reply. My wife has rung them twice. The first time they said they would look into it (what a joke) the second time today they kept her hanging on and then cut her off. This is the worst company we have ever dealt with during our 15 years of having a holiday home in France.
Even if the service is working the speed is pathetic and quite often it is not available at all. My advice to anyone considering using Ozone is to avoid them at all costs as they are truly useless!

Je n'ai reçu aucun service wimax de…
Je n'ai reçu aucun service wimax de votre part depuis le 14 décembre. Je refuse de continuer à demander un service qui semble ne plus exister. Ce n'est pas la première fois.
Alors, veuillez annuler mon compte Ozone. Je cesserai de payer le montant mensuel jusqu'à ce que vous répariez le service ou que vous le supprimiez complètement.
Votre service est atroce.
Mon nom est KALEY, Christopher, j'habite BOURLIOUX, Correze
Telephone number (you already have it), 06611703598. I have received your telephone message, but unfortunately I am not fluent in French.
Axion wrote to me last year, and said that my box needs to be updated. When engineers visited the area before Christmas, I was told that my box was too old (installed since 2011) to be upgraded, and would need replacement, and that it would be done quickly Now I have no wimax whatsoever.
Thank you

Absolutely awful
Had wifimax for about a year. Well I say about a year. We paid for about a year but half the time it didn't work at all. Every time it broke, it took 2-3 months for them to fix it. I suspect we only had it working for about half that time. It worked quite well when it was running, but working only half the time was rubbish.
Then they told us they weren't doing wifimax any more in our area and we had to get 4G. This seemed to work better at first, but it turned-out to be a lot more expensive and still had issues of not being reliable some of the time. We got rid of it after a month of quite unreliable service and sent the equipment back. They then hit us with a bill for another 11 months because they said the subscription was for a year. That may be true, but if something is crap, then it's a bit crooked to make you pay for more of it.
The bottom line: go with Free. The service is reliable, unlimited, not a great speed where we are, but at least it's reliable (it's out maybe 2-3 hours a week if the weather is bad). Compared to Free, Ozone isn't in the same league (indeed, I don't think they're even playing the same sport). We have a service engineer who monitors our service, if anything is wrong we call him and he sorts it out the next day (although we haven't needed that at all after the first couple of weeks). Free seems to be in the telecoms business. Ozone seem to be in the ripping-off customers business.
ozone is the pita
i will try in english. maybe the ozone ceo reads it because apparantly in french it does not work..
