I thought long and hard about this letter. It did not come from my GP Practice, so looked here for the reviews. Although it sounds like a good idea, and it said about 'treating diseases earlier', I have decided not to go ahead. My GP Practice has some issues but generally, when I need checks I get them, even if have to wait several weeks for them and then any follow ups. They have been proactive about offering me various services so will stick with that. As other contributors have mentioned, the NHS has all the anonymised data necessary already so I can't see the need for Pfizer et al to get involved separately. I had a bad reaction to their Covid jab so not keen on anything else of theirs just now.

I received a letter today. Looked on their website. The pictures of the team was off putting. They look like Tom pick and Harry. Then, omg, I read the negative reviews here. I will not be signing up. £10 for my Dna you must think we were born yesterday.

Having received a generic letter with a very murky explanation, I researched this business, I don't agree with it at all. We have a Natiional Health Service which is bound by confidentiality and if a research department is needed then I would happily agree to contributing to another arm of the NHS BUT not to an over funded separate private entity. The huge amounts of money they've been misguidedly awarded should be re-appropriated to a secure NHS department. The NHS app is probably more secure than having your data spreading to goodness knows where. At least while doing the checks it would all be easily accessible to the GP surgery and the surgery blood tests, (with permission) could also include the research element. It'd be a lot more cost and time efficient. Moreoever this potential extra funding would enable some of the existing NHS tests to actually take place. I had blood tests for an invited over 60s check months ago but there's never any follow up appointments as no funding for nurses to carry this out.

Something is not right with these guys. Got a message about cholesterol tests saying I'd registered with them. Err - no I haven't. So how did they get my e mail address? Who sold them that info'. Yeah I got the letter but having read stuff on their site and here - no way. Complained and no answer except auto fob off. Will follow up in the new year but not got a good feeling about this. It's a great idea but I don't trust the process. Someone is making a tonne of cash for this and that doesn't sit right with me.

Totally a scam.
Only exists to farm your personal and medical data then sell it on.
Attending the so called "Medical"is just for show,a distraction,there are NO accredited Doctors or Nurses present.
If you are silly enough to give out all your info for £10 to make greedy scammers even richer...then good luck 😅

Received a letter to my household (unaddressed to any individual) requesting participation in a data collecting exercise under the guise of health research. Let me be clear: the data exists already and the NHS has it. In fact, the NHS data set is the largest, most detailed of its kind, and very lucrative to privateers involved in health. The problem with worsening outcomes in health for British people right now, is NOT lack of data, but lack of effective government and the chronic lack of interest within government in funding health, social care, proper housing or investing in our national infrastructure. None of our successive governments have been interested in improving working conditions, in bringing pay up to livable levels, nor have they been committed to looking after the vulnerable members of society, all things which would greatly and immeasurably help people's health and mental health, our communities and lives. They preside over a broken food system that floods our supermarkets with toxic, processed mush that passes as food, while actual food and medicine becomes more expensive. The problem is what I'm looking at right here, a layer cake of parasitic private entities eating up NHS budget while hospitals are falling apart and nurses go to food banks, and the fact that governments we trust in allow it to happen, and the individuals in those governments personally profit from this deranged process. In a nutshell, no, we won't be participating in yet another charade. You have the data, Mr Streeting, Mr Ali and Sir Bell. You're just too committed to a project of awarding yourselves and your ilk large salaries of the kind us at the bottom can only dream of, while you mine us for every penny of our paltry wages.

I don't think that the private pharma companies within Our Future Health are offering fair recompense to participants for handing over family medical histories and DNA, nor are there adequate guarantees about data privacy and safety.

Anybody with half a brain will quickly become aware that this project is nothing to do with healthcare.
I "Abandoned Ship" halfway through this process once the dreaded DNA was mentioned,the words Big Brother immediately sprung to mind. Bribing participants with tenners also alerted suspicion. A very shady practise especially just before Christmas and during a cost of living crisis. I wonder where Winter Fuel snatcher Starmer is on this.

Nurse who did my checks did not smile once. When asked any questions was told everything would be written down. No real interaction, was too busy explaining to trainee what she was doing.

I was told my heart rate was irregular. I disputed it but the nurse said 3 out of 4 readings were showing my heart rate to be irregular. I went to my GP who said it was normal. I got the impression he is fed up with Our Future Health. I will not be using them again. My report does not even have a date on it!

Filled out the very long questionnaire then booked an appointment at Boots in Bishop Auckland. The lady who took my blood, measurements etc was absolutely amazing. Very friendly and professional. By the time i got home the £10 voucher was on my OFH account (which i donated back).

There’s something about this I don’t trust. Pfizer is involved plus men who assisted Boris Johnson when he was (unfortunately) the PM. I’ve almost signed up a few times but I don’t want to be part of this. I’m going with my gut instinct as I have done with previous initiatives which have expected people to act like sheep.

After reading all the negative reviews I was a bit worried. But went anyway to Boots in Braintree. The lady knew exactly what she was doing and was very professional. I also found some BBC reports, as some people on here saying it’s a scam or harvesting data for Pfizer etc. But it’s just research to help our future generations at the end of the day. And I got my gift voucher as soon as I finished the questionnaire.

Apart from the blood pressure check, nothing else was correct. I was told I had lost two inches in height. I haven't. Weight was a bit over, but not worth quibbling about. The main stumbling block was the cholesterol check. The finger prick test showed my LDL cholesterol to be 6.0. I'd been tested at my GP the previous month and was told it measured 3.2. Can't believe it had doubled in just over four weeks

I attended my check in Boots recently. The lady was very friendly and helpful. We discovered my blood pressure readings were very high, so she suggested I ask the Boots pharmacist to also check my readings. He was very thorough, three times in both arms and confirmed my bp was indeed very high. My cholesterol levels were also slightly raised. I made an appointment with my GP, who has since prescribed tablets for both my conditions, although I must admit I’m not too happy about taking statins as I have Glaucoma and therefore need to research any possible side effects or reactions with my eye medication. I’m glad I went for this check, as I was unaware of my very high blood pressure!

Something about all this doesn't sit right with me, so I promptly declined to go any further with giving my bloods and information and left. Also, the £10 voucher they offer i feel is a bit of an insult for giving them all that information and your DNA.
Also found this online, and you will notice there is one company that stands out head and shoulders above the rest..Pfizer, anything they are involved in i wouldn't trust with a barge pole.

Whole process was straight forward. Very friendly and professional nurse at Boots took my blood samples etc. Happy to help any research that might help people in the future.

Very efficient and knowledgeable explaining each test.

No privacy. Just dividing boards. You could hear everything being discussed from outside the consultation area. Neglectful by Boots of Longbridge Town Birmingham UK and OFH. I will not shop their again. I will not do a survey for the NHS again. The nurse did not have the skill to take my blood. Therefore, the whole experience was a total waste of time. My veins protrude to such an extent that you could easliy hit them blindfolded with a blunt dart. Incompetent and neglectful. Ring any bells?

I enjoyed an excellent service when I joined this study this year. Everything that was explained would happen did happen. The lady who took measurements and blood samples etc at Boots was friendly and efficient. I was there no more than 10 minutes, if that. The voucher arrived and I was able to download it with ease and Aldi accepted it. it seems like an excellent initiative and I am happy to be taking part and would recommend it to others.
