I recently completed my questioner and had my blood test and measurements at Poole Boots and had a good experience, the nurse was very helpful and knowledgeable.
Was pleased to participate.
No intrusive personal or financial information was requested.

I signed up for this in February. The only test centre anywhere near me had a limited number of days for testing, which coincided with my being away on holiday. Since then I have checked regularly, but the nearest test centre has been 60 miles away. I never go near to any of the proposed test centre locations, so have decided to give up on this and withdraw from the project.

When the tourniquet used to take my blood pressure was applied, it was with much greater force than at any previous tests that I had attended. The result was that I was adjudged to have high blood pressure. But when (as advised) I obtained a second reading a few days afterwards, my blood pressure was found to be normal.

I'm off to my GP to ask if they had a hand in releasing my personal details

Do make sure you opt out of data sharing asap - go to the NHS website and fill in their forms - one needs printing off and dropping off at the local surgery the other can be completed in minutes

If you fall for this information grabbing private company...it's your fault and nobody elses!!

I have only just signed up for Our Future Health. So this isn't really a review. (I'll update my score and opinion when I have had a full experience of their service)

But I noticed that many of the reviews here are suggesting that the use of the NHS logo on the website is dubious and possibly fraudulent.

In fact the NHS have a page entitled "Our Future Health research programme" (I'm not sure I can add links) which talks about how the NHS is connected to Our Future Health.

Whether you feel comfortable about sharing very personal data for this purpose is up to you. But the NHS have directly invited people to sign up for the service.

I began filling out their questionnaire and couldn't help but notice the questions becoming ever more intrusive and nothing whatsoever to do with health. Researched this fraud of a company and cancelled all information. I'm now concerned as to where they got my details from in the first place. My advice is to avoid.

What worried me was they required my credit card details after I'd scanned the QR code claiming no money would taken initially. Red lights flashing and sirens wailing. Having read previous reviews, I decided no thank you!

Very poor communication...
Offered a voucher to partake.... The retailer couldn't redeem it..
Contacted both voucher company and ourfuture health.... No response.
Very poor support.

I was reluctant to sign up for this Health programme especially as a lot of the questions were intrusive and nothing to do with health. However, I stupidly still went ahead with it. Luckily, my blood test was cancelled at last minute. Not a good sign but gave me the incentive to do some checking. After reading on Trustpilot other people's experiences, I have cancelled my interest in the programme especially as the email sent from Future Health got my surname incorrect and alarms bells sounded when it went into my Spam folder. I really must make Trustpilot my first choice in these matters.

I was almost drawn into this research programme, but after some online research of my own into their industry partners, decided not to take part. Three of the four partners i looked at have been or are involved with litigation. Novo Nordisk, the manufacturer of Ozempic is one of them. Don't trust pharmaceutical companies - they are only in it for one thing. $$$$$$

I had the same experience as many people. The questionnaire is intrusive data mining. It has very little to do do with clinical investigation. We have been scammed. I urge you not to participate with these people. Ii do not understand how Boots and the NHS can be involved with them . They need to be shut down. Do Not answer their questions, it is for marketing research.

Having three times received unsolicited letters inviting me to "take part in research", I have now emailed to request my details be deleted from their database.

Easy to sign up and participate in research on numerous health conditions. Their full study protocol is available online for anyone interested. Only downside is not many clinic locations (they should probably text you when they add one to a nearby town). The test itself was quick

I had an appointment at Boots in Folkestone at 0900. No one turned up After 20 minutes I asked Boots staff what was happening and they offered to find out and rang me at 1030 to advise me that the person I was supposed to be seeing was on sick leave, but hadn't bothered to tell me.
I wrote a letter of complaint on line, and have had no response after three weeks.

The largest donor to Our Future Helth is an American organisation and the second a European one. This is not advertised in the letter. It looks like selling access to all our data clinical data and getting rich this way. Very little offered in return :(

With GP appointments difficult to get these days I thought this would be a good opportunity to get some basic health checks done. I was under the impression it included a cholesterol test but this is not the case. The blood sample they take is 'a donation for research purposes'. It is basically a massive data collection exercise.

Why are you using the NHS logo on correspondence if you are not part of the NHS? Is it to lull people into a false sense of security so they don't read the small print?

Why do participants need to be 18 or over to sign up and give a blood sample? Is it so you can be able to say they consented to shady things done with their DNA?

"We will never allow your samples to be used in research involving animals or to create cell lines (an immortal group of cells used in research) without your express permission." Legislation is subject to change at any time.

If you don't want your DNA to be used to make animal chimera embryos, bin their letter.

I joined Our Future Health thinking it was a good opportunity to contribute to important research. Unfortunately, the experience left me uncomfortable. The questionnaires asked for very personal information like income, household details, and specific lifestyle habits. It wasn’t clear how this related to health research, and there wasn’t enough explanation about why they needed that level of detail.

I also requested to withdraw from the programme in February, asking for my data to be deleted and to stop receiving emails. Despite that, my account stayed active and I kept getting contacted for months. It felt like my request wasn’t taken seriously.

Overall, the lack of transparency and how my data was handled made me lose trust in the programme. I hope they make changes to address these issues for future participants.

Tried to seek clarification on data use and purpose several times, no response. They seem to include the “NHS” logo as implication they are endorsed by the NHS ??
Personally I would not trust my data with this company at all.
Use at your own risk !
