Really quick to set up

Really quick to set up, simple to use, and a great ROI. Very impressed how easy it is and how little I need to know about Crypto to get started with it all!

Amazing development

I've been following them for a few years (even before the rebranding) and I'm amazed by their development! Now I wish I had joined earlier :)

Nice concept, dead slow withdrawals

Nice concept, but drops just as fast as BTC drops...
Putting new funds in goes fast.
Withdrawing money is complicated and you have to be enormously patient, funds can take a week or more to arrive to your bank account.
As I am not comfortable with that, I decided to call is quits.

Hi Ed,

Thank you for your message, and we are sorry to hear that you have not been satisfied with your experience with OSOM Finance.

Autopilot can go up and down, depends on Bitcoin and market conditions. We don’t claim to be able to outperform Bitcoin or the market every single second.

Sometimes the Bitcoin network can be overloaded (aka lagging), resulting in transactions going slower than usual.
In some cases, the transaction cost can spike after you made a withdrawal with a smaller network fee, resulting in your transaction getting a smaller priority in the Bitcoin confirmation machine. In such cases, funds will arrive later.
Regarding withdrawing money from Osom wallet to your bank account.
For SWIFT transactions processing time is from 1 to 5 days.

Simple, fast and reliable

Good app. Simple, fast and with excellent investment plan. If you buy their token PLBT you can use to invest without risk in their autopilot. (I invest in autopilot on september 2020 and after few months of drawdown now I made 58% of return in BTC and 942% in euro so I confirm on long term basis this is very good investment plan)

I deposited 300 dollars

I deposited 300 dollars, after fees i had 288 dollars on the autopilot, thats not to bad, completely fine. Heres the issue tho.
My 288 dollars on the autopilot went up 16% in bitcoin value and fell 2,78% in euros value and that means that im at 280 dollars value. So since i bought in when bitcoin was at an all time high, i can never gain value or how am i supposed to understand this?

Hi Mark,

Thanks for your questions, we’re happy to explain.

You bought it at a price when Bitcoin was €32,014 in January.
On Jan 26, when you posted your review, Bitcoin had indeed fallen to €27,639.75.

And indeed, even though we were outperforming Bitcoin, your portfolio value in Euro was declining.
We don’t claim to be able to outperform Bitcoin or the market every single second (or we would retire).

You exited the Autopilot, 20 days after entering it (when the price of Bitcoin was €31,799.94) and made a profit in both Euros and Bitcoin, even after fees.

Bitcoin, as of March 25th, is worth €43,877.70, and the Autopilot has seen positive returns in both BTC and Euros since you entered, and since you left.
So you didn’t buy at an all-time high, and you have been able to gain value - and would have seen even more returns if you hadn’t withdrawn.

You can find what happened in January here https://osom.finance/blog/under-the-hood-at-osom and February here https://osom.finance/blog/under-the-hood-february-2021-crypto-autopilot

The Autopilot has been built for medium to long-term positions (2.5 to 5 years).
What happens in the short term is hardly predictable and not what the algorithm tries to optimize for.
It looks at long trends in the past with the objective of growing your portfolio over the long term in the future.
More info on what it optimises for can be found here: https://osom.finance/blog/how-the-crypto-autopilot-works

For more insights as to what time can do to an Autopilot portfolio, we have a blog post that analyses the minimum, maximum, and average return one can expect based on how long the portfolio’s held for:

Hello Yurii,

You really have to see this with a long term perspective (a year at least) in mind. The Crypto Autopilot has not been developed for short term investments, but for long term ones.

So as you probably understood yourself - altcoins market cap went down these past few months as many investors sold their alts for growing BTC. The Autopilot can't hold more than 40% in a single asset and therefore, when everything falls and BTC grows, a part of the Autopilot crypto basket will go down.

Is there a problem in the algorithm? No — everything is quite stable and within the expectations. Volatility is normal in crypto.
At this stage we are within the standard deviation and nothing happened in the long-term perspective. Every dropdown is followed by growth, and every growth is followed by dropdown. We can only stay patient and aim for the long term.

This summer the performance reached an amazing +45% and then the cycle explained above happened. But as I just mentioned, it's a cycle, which means it won't last.

So stick with us and as Aristotle would say “Patience is bitter, but its fruit is sweet.”

Looks bad

Unfortunately, after putting some good savings on to osom we are just getting very worried with its algo. A long time investment with more than 4% weekly losses looks bad. As other people pointed out there are no results either with bullish or bearish market. Can't recommend it.

Hello Marco Polo,

Thank you very much for your feedback and sorry you take it this way.

As you probably understood yourself - the altcoins market cap went down as many investors sold their alts for growing BTC.
Autopilot can't hold more than 30% (it has been raised to 40% not so long ago) in a single asset and therefore, when everything falls and BTC grows, a part of the Autopilot crypto basket goes down.

Is there a problem with the algorithm? No — everything is quite stable and within the expectations. If you look at the historical performance chart we shared a while ago, you would see that there was a point in December (2019) when the bot lost 20%, just to gain 40% in January (2020). Volatility is normal in crypto, you probably know this better than we do.
At this stage, we are within the standard deviation and nothing happened in the long-term perspective. Every dropdown is followed by growth, and every growth is followed by a dropdown.
We can only stay patient and aim for the long term.

Stay tuned and stick with us!

Can I just ask a very simple question?

Can I just ask a very simple question?
If this really works why dont you take all the money you got from everybody in the ICO and invest it in here, that way we can all get are money back and some profits as we were all promised?

I’m guessing all the positive reviews…

I’m guessing all the positive reviews are paid or fake as I’ve Been with OSOM for over 2 months now and they have lost 40% of my funds. Even while btc and main altcoins are up my btc amount stil keeps falling. No record to back up what happened to all my money. Could have just taken it and there’s no way I could know since I’m given no transparency on what’s happened to my funds. I’ve gained 30% on my own portfolio but somehow lost 40% on OSOM.

Hi Travis,

We are sorry for your experience.

All the previous reviews are organic. Autopilot did show great results last months.
You can see all that happened to your money ( where did the bot invested etc ) in the monthly report and the insights inside the OSOM app.

Autopilot is a long-term product, you shouldn't draw conclusions only after some months. When we were testing the autopilot back last autumn, we deposited 2 BTC, earned 0.5 and lost almost 1. Then it went back to positive. Same is happening right now. Although we also feel dissatisfied with autopilot's results, we in OSOM cannot influence the algo as it is managed by InvestSuite, the service provider. Just like with any upcoming services, our job is to act as a gateway, not the money-maker. We are studying our options for less risky products that would provide almost-always-positive return with smaller but more stable ROI.

Kind regards,

OSOM team

Autopilot is not ready yet. Prepare to lose the money

The Autopilot from the OSOM.finance is not yet ready for primetime. Being with them since August, I currently account 25% loss overall. Unfortunately, the Autopilot loses money with both falling and growing markets as can hardly take advantage of movements in a certain direction. besides ca. 40% of the portfolio is kept in BTC by the Autopilot, which might expalin moderate losses, which otherwise would be even higher. So all in all it is hard to advise Autopilot right now.
On the positive side - the new app is transparent and fast and gives you a good overview of movements.
Account statements can be improved to show more details and to be issued on demand and not just once a month.
