Adjustable bed

The whole process, from choosing through to through to delivery, was professional and simple. Spencer helped us to chose exactly the right bed to suit us both. 2 mattresses ( we both chose the same, but there were several others) with a controller for each, set into a king-sized bedframe. A choice of heights, number and placement of underbed drawers and a huge range of headboard styles and fabrics gave us the perfect bed.
We had to wait just a few weeks for the bed to be made to our chosen specifications, but is was worth it. The delivery was arranged to suit us and Spencer and Tim worked very quickly to take our old bed out and install the new one. They were friendly and considerate of our property and left the house clean and tidy - taking away all of the packaging as well as the old bed. After a 'tour' of the new bed and a trial run of the controls, the process was complete. Brilliant service from them both.Thank you.

Excellent company for riser recliners

I have had excellent service from Orange Mobility for over a year now. They sold and have maintained a riser recliner chair, including significant repairs under their warranty. Tim and Andy were very handy!, dismantling and re-stuffing the chair and base for me. Highly recommended company.

After the sad realisation that my…

After the sad realisation that my parents needed help with managing day to day tasks, we approached Orange Badge who swifty did a full evaluation of the property and their needs. It was refreshing to find a company not intent on making profit but genuinely wanted to help and suggest the best solutions for them and their needs. We are over the moon with their service, advice given, and importantly solutions they’ve offered, some of which we didn’t know existed. I would recommend Orange Badge, and their team, to anyone looking for professional help in the specialist field.

Arrived on time clean and tidy workers.

Happy customer

I have used Orange Badge Mobility twice to install stair lifts in my home. I have found all members of staff from those on the phone right through to the installation staff to be extremely efficient, courteous and helpful. I had an issue with one stair lift shortly after installation which was fixed very promptly.

I would not hesitate to recommend this company.

Avoid if you can, uncaring company.

A review I posted from the OrangeBadge website on Google reviews in September 2023 which has now mysteriously disappeared. The sentiments still apply, nothing has changed. -

Having already purchased both a mobility scooter and portable ramp from OrangeBadge with relative ease and little problem we then decided to buy an adjustable bed from them to help with my wife’s back problems.

After visiting the showroom and taking advice from the salesman we ordered a superking adjustable twin bed with 6’6” memory foam mattresses (as I am 6’3”) on the 9th September 2022 and paid a 50% deposit. We were told of the warranty on the frame and the motors (different warranties) but with nothing in writing.

The bed was delivered on 12th October but without the castors ! Obviously OrangeBadge had not organised a check that it was complete before delivery.
The castors were then delivered and fitted by an employee on his way home the next night who complained that he had not been told it was a large bed and that they would be more difficult to fit.

We never got any paperwork for the bed - no receipt for it, nothing with regards to the warranties (other than a general warranty statement for all their products on the Customer Order form) and nothing at all about use of the bed.

We had ordered and paid for a long version of the bed (and the order was readily accepted) due to my height and the fact it would fit in the bedroom. When I measured the mattresses though they were only 6’3” and not the 6’6” ordered. When I queried this the salesman came back a few days later having spoken to the manufacturer and said that was the standard size and they didn’t do a longer mattress version despite taking our order. I had actually queried the length with the guy who had fitted the castors previously and his answer was that it gets longer when you lie on it !!!!!!!!
Unfortunately as our old bed had been removed when this one was delivered we had no alternative other than to accept that we had been given incorrect information and that OrangeBadge had taken an order for a bed they could not provide, had taken the money for and was detailed on the Customer Order form (the only piece of paper we ever got from them for it).

For some weeks after the bed was delivered my wife’s back was no better at all and she still ended up sleeping in a chair in the lounge. As OrangeBadge were being no help at all despite the numerous calls and emails about the problem, I looked online at adjustable beds and found a website that gave instructions about how to adjust the slats for the various sleeping positions. Once I did this the result was dramatic and my wife now sleeps better. At no time did OrangeBadge ever volunteer any information about adjustments and when I asked why, their answer was that the manufacturer (OneRehab) did not provide customer information (like slat adjustments, use of other bed adjustments for head and feet) and they weren’t going to either. A one page diagram of how to best adjust the slats would have done, perhaps they don’t have the necessary knowledge.

Anyway, ever since delivery and despite many many emails to both the salesman Simon and Ben (who I believe is a director) asking for a proper receipt, specific guarantee information and usage/adjustment information booklet absolutely nothing has been forthcoming. In fact all I have had is a refusal to provide the receipt and documents/information. This has been the situation for over 6 months.
It would appear that once they have your money they are not interested in giving support or learning from customer feedback at all.

Being disabled is difficult and depressing enough as it is and we think that companies who sell products for the disabled should have empathy, understanding and do as much as possible to help and give requested support to their customers.
OrangeBadge could easily have fixed this by going the extra yard but instead have gone just half the distance.

OrangeBadge have comprehensively failed to do that with this expensive purchase and we are very disappointed with the experience and unfortunately will not be using them again. We were totally disgusted with being treated with such distain and I would avoid them at all costs.

PS. The mattresses have never been very comfortable and when we tried to discuss this very early on with the salesman with a view to exchanging them they showed no interest in helping solve the problem at all.

My reply to your response to my review -

To be honest I think your reply perfectly indicates your total lack of customer empathy and care if things don’t quite go right (as can be seen from the other 1* reviews for you.
If things go well with the purchase then all is ok but if any issues from what I can see you just ignore them, treat the customer with contempt and ridicule. Not nice.

When you visited the showroom and was helped for over 2 hours by an assessor selecting the right mattress and bed that you had ample time to make sure you were happy with the items you purchased.
The numerous phone calls and call outs we provided free of charge after your purchase to satisfy you as much as we could you've obviously forgotten. Unfortunately as we were unable to exchange your mattresses free of charge after you had used them for sometime has upset you, we do apologise.
If it makes you feel better leaving false over elaborated stories about us then we are very sorry, if you feel reviewing us annually on the same matter we tried exceptionally hard to resolve helps you then please do, alternatively please do feel free to pop in and see us to discuss this in person.

Super comfy armchair

I'd like to take the time to thank all the people at Orange Badge. Me and my mother were welcomed with a friendly smile and a cup of tea. We were then shown through to the large armchair showroom and expertly talked through the different options of lifting chairs. Mark helped us pick the perfect chair for my mother which she is so happy with. It has really helped her.
