We have tried to purchase a iPhone 17…

We have tried to purchase a iPhone 17 with optimum for a Christmas present-
This was going to be for our daughter who has been using optimum with an older phone for several years we did not want to do contract but just wanted to buy it out front because of the possibility of her being transferred within the next year maybe two years  -( and move into a location that optimum is not associated with nor T-Mobile)
No problem everything was set supposed to be delivered December 18 however on December 18. It stated back order will not be delivered till end of December. It is now January 29 and we still do not have the phone.
They told us it was gonna come two day air when delivered. It is now going by ground supposedly finally shipped on the January 23rd and supposed to be delivered on the 24th - then the 26th then the 27th and the 28th and the 29th now stated February 1. And we’re supposed to have a delivery signature so it’s totally disrupted our holidays by having to stay here and wait for the phone to be delivered only to be told at the last second oh it’s not
Could not be more unhappy with this situation

1 Star – Optimum is the worst service experience I’ve ever had

Optimum has been the absolute worst nightmare to deal with. Their customer service feels like a maze built specifically to break your spirit.

To make things even worse, they offered me a “free mobile service.” I never received a phone, never activated anything—yet they still automatically charged my card without my consent. When I tried fixing the issue, I was met with endless runarounds, scripted excuses, and zero accountability.

After reaching my limit, I attempted to cancel the service. That turned into hours of being bounced between representatives who refused to cancel, tried pushing promotions I didn’t want, and—when I declined—conveniently dropped the call, forcing me to start the entire process again.

The whole experience felt degrading, exhausting, and intentionally designed to prevent customers from leaving. I will never use Optimum again, and I strongly warn others to stay far away.
