I have an OPPO A98 5G

I have an OPPO A98 5G. I have to say it's decent but ultimately you can buy a better phone. It's fast, huge storage and good quality, however I had very poor experiences with this phone.
1. The audio sometimes just goes out, just nothing.
2. The headphone jack is poor
3. Whenever I'm in a call, Instagram, messenger, discord, the screen just flickers black and to the current window I'm in

Terrible service and after sales

My phone didn't work properly so I wrote to oppo no response

So I wrote 6 times in total , then got a response a day after the warranty telling me they would honour the warranty

No point in getting a tech phone if it doesn't work and the after sales is the worst

A valuable lesson here Samsung on our other phone were superb

Worst phone ever

Worst phone ever. Nothing works properly. With some apps the phone blocks completely the system (waze for example) for 30 minutes or longer!

Music sound suddenly goes really low - very slow working phone - sometimes the whole day no internet.

And i checked it, it's never my providers but it's always OPPO!

Never buy this phone

Worst phone ever. Shuts down when it feels like it, wont open apps, signs itself off wi fi then refuses to do anything till it has restarted itself half a dozen times! Just a terrible terrible phone!!

I have had my Oppo Reno 10 for just…

I have had my Oppo Reno 10 for just over a year. Still running Android 13.1 and my security update is Nov 23. This is totally unacceptable as oppo promise 4 security updates a year, I've not had one this year. Customer support is not much good either. No resolution from Oppo UK

I never hated a phone sooo much

A lot of missing settings, forced popups, and worst of all how it closes apps for you for "better performance", if you leave phone charging for example it just closes all your apps for faster charging (CANT TURN THIS OFF) and lots more problems like barely being able to run discord and getting notifications hours or days later. Trash company never buy.

Good Phone, Poor Updates

Really great phone, OPPO A98 however lacks software upgrades, still not released an update to Android 14 despite them saying this was coming. Quite disappointing. However, as I said phone is great.

X lite problems

The phone was an X Lite originally on contract from EE, and from day 1 it had constant niggling problems that required it to be rebooted every single day, but due to working away all the time, could not send replace/repair. Absolutely awful Mickey Mouse company…

Absolutely awful Mickey Mouse company to deal with. They are worst than Del Boy a bunch of cowboys.
Their customer service is appalling and Kevin who responds to emails has no idea what he is doing it’s like you are talking to a brick wall. They refuse to pass you on to anyone who actually knows how to operate as a company. They just don’t know how it works in the UK to trade.
They advertised for sale the Reno 11 F phone and it was advertised as you would receive a charger and a protective case. This was all clearly displayed on their website shop page. Upon delivery of said phone there was no charger or case in the box. After me sending photos of the box and its contents they have now edited the sales page description to remove the charger and case from what you would receive. I have a screenshot of what I was due to receive but Kevin in customer service says that I won’t be receiving these items that was advertised. Absolutely appalling customer service and they put on Facebook that they made a mistake but are not rectifying the mistake by offering these items. Instead they just delete messages off the Facebook group when everyone tells them what a huge error they are making by continuing this stance. I am contacting trading standards about how this company is conducting themselves and will be contacting my credit card company to use Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act 1979. Incidentally Kevin in customer service just ignores anything to do with trading standards when you bring it up. Abysmal is all I can say about his attitude.
Next they could turn around and say you don’t get a phone in the box after advertising for a phone. You just cannot trust these cowboys.

AVOID AND SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!!

What an awful experience I've had with Oppo. Avoid this company like the plague if you value your sanity and mental health!!! Back in August 2023 I noticed my Oppo Find N2 Flip phone screen protector was peeling. I had to wipe the data, set up an old phone and send my Oppo phone off to get a new protector installed. This is the process for every time. This took about two weeks. After a week of having it back it peeled again. I sent it off again. This time I was without my phone for three weeks as they failed to tell me they went out of stock of the protectors. I got my phone back eventually. A day later it started peeling again. As an apology, I was given a cheap Fitbit type watch (worth £8) and a phone case for the phone I hadn't used seen for more than a week at a time in months. Useless. Customer services refused to refund my phone or give me a like for like replacement as it was clearly defective under the warranty. They constantly sent time wasting emails asking me to send photos and asking me all sorts of useless questions to stall me. Whoever sat above them at head office refused to give any real compensation. They even had the cheek to invoice me for the most recent replacement; which was apparently an error from the third party - clearly sourced a quality service there. I had an extremely stressful experience over the period of EIGHT MONTHS with that phone and only recently received it back from it's final replacement. They ran 'tests' and apparently all previous attempts at replacing it weren't correct and THIS TIME they got it right. For the sake of my mental health I sold the phone (at an obvious financial loss as it's worthless) before it would inevitably peel again. I am now enjoying my much better Google Pixel 8 with 0 issues and 0 stress. I am glad to say I'm never going to have to deal with Oppo ever again because it's truly a vile company only concerned with lining it's pockets that should be ashamed of it's working practices. If you value your money and sanity stay clear!

Worst support I've experienced

Worst support I've experienced, if you can even call it support. I spent almost a month trying to send my phone to the "24h VIP Support". They just ignored every email until I yelled at them, I actually believe there isn't a support and just some unlucky person trolling customers until they gave up, I kept getting random instructions, sent them around 9 pictures of the phone and still not enough. Finally they contacted me through phone just to ask for more pictures. I'm going to send it to the store so they can deal with OPPO support, I can't anymore.

Is there actually an Oppo technical assistance division?cessful…

There was an initially successful effort on March 8 (not yet dealt with or even acknowledged) to get some assistance with a technical issue with my mobile phone. In my attempts at follow up (3 so far today) I cannot get more than an automated response from Oppo that says I should select the correct region from their contact page. I have exactly done this all 3 times, only to get the same 'select correct region' email from them.
At this stage, as my issue is with a blocked number that is some kind of glitch that cannot be unblocked because it hasn't happened at my end (it's my 95 year old father who can't contact me), I'm wondering if I need to throw away any hope of ever using Oppo - now or ever.
This review is actually an attempt to get some assistance. The matter is urgent.

I am using oppo Reno 8 5g

I am using oppo Reno 8 5g, i got Android 14 update yesterday after the my phone battery life has been down and when I charger my phone after some point the charging will stop life it's showing your is on charging but, it will not go up, like I am stuck in 77 charging point its been one hour but still it's 77 and yet it's as showing my phone is charging. And after update my internet gose off automatic and start after 10sec this is very major problem I would like request oppo look this Major problem
