Cancelled my subscription in June

Cancelled my subscription in June. £89 taken out of my account today for the renewal. Called to get refund but after speaking with supervisor (took a while before agent would consider doing this) but I suspect the so called supervisor was just another agent who rolled out the same nonsense that they could not refund full amount but will give me a voucher. He said that if I don’t want this option he could arrange for the call made in June to check what was said! He seemed a bit cagey about how long this would take. I’ve disputed this payment with my bank instead which I’m hoping will resolve this issue. The subscription has been cancelled but I worry that the money will be taken next year as I could not delete the card off their system. I’m going to have to cancel my card and get a new one just to be on the safe side.

A scam disguised as a travel agency – stay away

Opodo stole more than €550 from me in less than two weeks.
– €89.99 for a so-called Prime trial, even though I had already used my trial in 2024 (they only informed me the next day, after charging me).
– Another €89.99 taken automatically on the very day my trial ended, without giving me the chance to cancel, even though I was still within my 14-day legal withdrawal period.
– €366 for a hotel booking that was never provided: the hotel itself confirmed they never received the reservation or the money.

Since August 9th, I’ve been chasing Opodo for a refund. All I get are automated, misleading, and contradictory replies. My holidays were ruined.

👉 I will never stop until I get my money back.
👉 I will never book through Opodo again, and I strongly warn everyone: avoid this company at all costs.

Beware of Opodo
they have no credibility and they try hard to take your money without providing any service. I had an experience with a woman who deceived us. We bought a ticket, the price was more expensive than the price of a ticket directly from the company, and we bought insurance. We wanted to change the travel time, but we were shocked by their truth and their lies to their customers.
They returned to us 44 pounds out of 163 pounds, and this was after he lied to us in every detail and evaded returning our money under the pretext of a technical faul every time we call
They lied to us and we couldn't travel and we canceled the trip

Very bad experience

On October 27, 2023, I paid for round-trip tickets from Amsterdam 12904290003 to Istanbul and Istanbul to Tehran for two people. About 1400 euros on 27 October 2023 3 hours before the flight I went to Amsterdam airport. I noticed that the next flight was mistakenly booked before the first flight through opodo. In case it was not like this in the opodo application. The mistake was entirely the fault of Opodo. Since then, I have only withdrawn 400 euros from my bank account and the rest has not yet been paid. This incident is shameful.

I had the most horrible experience with Opodo ! After falsely advertised prime bookings and wrongfully subscribing to a mandatory £89 yearly membership!

Cancelling the membership is nearly impossible ! It took me 3 very expensive international phone calls where I was lied to from customer service that my membership has been cancelled only to find out it has not been !

I had legal help working hard to get my money back ! You should do the same thing if this horrible scam happend to you as well !

There is a company called ! Geld - zurück Opodo Prime which is primarily focused on getting customers money back after they have been getting scammed ! I can only recommend !

But just stay away from the company all together then you will be fine !

OPODO YOU ARE A SERIOUS SCAM AND NOT TO BE TRUSTED !!!

advertise flights they don't have!

Booked a flight from Alicante to Mallorca with this site.
Same old saying if it's too good to be true...
Once i had booked it said up to 24 hours!

I was relying on a instant flight booking as needed to book a hotel and car hire.

Long story short, no flight, lost the hotel and had to get a refund on the flights which I am still waiting for. Plus the mount charged and the refund amount is different online, I hope this is a hiccup on their end. Won't know until the refund comes through, in 7-10 days!!!

Ended up booking direct with the airline instantly.

Don't waste your money hiring off OPOD

Ref IT342409480 Despite being in contact with OPOD hire car customer service team, they are unwilling to refund me the cost of a hire car that Was not supplied by Surprice, I have request the contact details of OPOD CEO twice this has not been forthcoming, however I managed to find this and sent a polite email to CEO however no response.what ever you do please do not waste your money hiring cars from OPDO their customer service is diabolical, go with a reputable company such as Hertz. I'm now forced to seek legal action. We met couple from Finland who by chance also had a rental car from Surprice, they had exactly the same experience not being collect at the airport in Rome then being pressured to pay additional money, but unlike OPOD their hire agency reimbursed them immediately although they we 3 hours later than expected to collect the vehicle, now that is a company that values it's customers unlike OPOD take my advise do not hire through OPOD

AVOID THIS COMPANY

AVOID THIS COMPANY. SCAMMERS Booked fights early last year. Then on 2nd Feb 2024 they took £59.99 out of my bank account without my permission. Stolen money/scammed. Looked at many of their review pages and they have done the same to a lot of other people. Called them but they were very rude/unhelpful. Will post again when I have spoken to my bank.

Delay tactics

Delay tactics! So, I wrote an honest review of my experience of Opodo 2 days ago on this forum, and the delay in receiving my refund from a flight purchased over 16 months ago. I have received another “holding” email from Opodo thanking me for my custom. There is good news for one customer who has contacted me via another social media website, that they have received their refund from a cancelled flight from 2.5 years ago! Who knows there may be light at the end of the tunnel - I may only have an 14 months to wait. Please, do not use, go to a reputable company. This is not about the amount of money I have lost, but the principle. It is my money, and I have not a holiday for 2 years, and Opodo still have my flight money. If you want to waste your money feel free to have a look as to how many people are fighting for their refunds.

Fake company. Ryan Air not authorised them

The messed with my email address and I missed my flight. Because they gave wrong information about me to the airline which i understand and emailed-called them to update it and for which they said they’ve done but they haven’t done it.

Hence I missed my flight and had to pay super peak price to travel back home.

When I went back for reimbursement because it’s their mistake and I had proof of all conversions they didn’t care to even reply for my email. Instead sending out automated emails.

Beware

Beware: they ‘sold’ us tickets that didn’t not exist and now taking their time to issue a refund. They lied to me that their website tickets are live with the airline and I was relying on them to perform with the right keys we booked however quite the contrary. Buyers Beware of Opodo & eDreams

I wish I could give a star in the…

I wish I could give a star in the negatives. Opodo is the worst thing that ever happened to me. I bought a ticket from opodo in june. I found out a week later that i had to have a transut visa and when i tried to book my transit visa appointment at the end of june there were no dates. the requirement is to book a visa appointment q month to your travel date. my ticket was for the 1st of september so i was trying to book this appointment two months to the time. There were no dates available and i called opodo back on the 7th july to find a solution- anything besides cancelling the booking. I even asked if it was possible to switch the KLM ticket to another flying blue airline so i could retain the booking. I was turned around and around until they finally advised that i cancel the booking after a series of phone calls at the end of july. I was told by an agent that i woukd be refunded 250 pounds of the 398 pounds i paid for the ticket and then to fill in a claims form for the 148 left over which would have been the airlines charge as the cancelling was really not my fault. i have just received an email from Opodo saying that i have been refunded 198 pounds!!!! out of 398!!!!! how does this even make sense. when i first called them i told them that i was travelling for my wedding and i was on a very tight budget and that i needed them to help me sort the issue so i'd be happy to get another ticket with them and pay the difference. they have the most uncaring customer service team who do not offer any solutions. I have just been on the phone to them and they confirmed that the airline charged me roughly 150 and then they charged me 50 pounds. How can both the airline and the agent charge me for a cancellation???? why was i not advised when they told me to cancel the booking? i feel robbed. i feel violated. this is terribly unfair. i'm a broke student and i cannot afford to lose 200 pounds to anybody. Opodo pay me!!!!!!!

Invoice request Having had a flight cancelled by Easy…

Having had a flight cancelled by Easy Jet on 11th July 2022 I re booked flights using Opodo. All went well until trying to get an invoice from them which I need for my Easy jet claim, it's been a month now and several requests and still no invoice. Opodo please assist!!

SCAMMERS/Never buy a ticket from OPODO

Worst company I've ever had the misfortune to deal with.
I have bought the tickets for myself and children from London -Tirana to celebrate the festive season with our families.
Three days before departure we caught Covid-19 as family and we couldn't flight we had to cancel the flights. How on the earth can you fly when you have Covid-19?
We cancelled the tickets via Opodo (prime account) to keep it for the future booking. They did send us an email said: you can rebook your ticket within 1 year
just give us a call at any time.
Guess what ? We have tried 50 times to rebook the tickets:- they're saying call the Austria Airline direct. We had a phone call with them 1hour and a half and in the end they said you should contact your travel agent which is bloody OPODO. Called them again and so far the problem hasn't been resolved.

Never ever buy the ticket from OPODO!!!!!!!!!!
They are a SCAMMMER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had my flights cancelled due to covid…

I had my flights cancelled due to covid and it’s been 18 months and still no refund? I have emailed, phoned and chatted to the bot with my case being prioritised multiple times but absolutely nothing back or follow up?!?

I really want Opodo to be good on their word as they have great deals but if flights get cancelled I should get your money back or a voucher or something!
