This company need to do a lot of work to regain any trust I have in them. Much of the fees on golf courses are so far off accurate and there are couses in their directory that should not be there (according to the actual golf clubs).
I joined them many years ago and left after a year when I found many of the deals not to be valid. I thought I would give them another go this year. What a mistake. Nothing has improved. I phoned 7 clubs this morning and not one of them agreed with what Open fairways said they were offering. At best the price is wrong - in some cases double what they have on their site.
In 2 of the 7 clubs they said they should not be on there and have asked Open Fairways to remove them. They remain on the directory.
Take what you read with a large pinch of salt and before buying their membership check with the clubs you are interested in before purchase. It is clear that many of the offers are not available at or near the price they state. Their ability to make their directory accurate and up to date is diabolical. I of course told them this by email and pointed out the various errors - not one has been rectified and I also did not get any reply.
CHECK, CHECK and CHECK again the offers you are interested in as they may not be available despite being offered on their directory
