Thought it was signing up for something for the kids...a promo.... took £1.58 then 48p..... Two days later checked my account online and a further £58 had gone. Reported it as a scam... felt stupid....bank cancelled my card...the amount is in pending in my account. I have to phone back when it's cleared ...they can't cancel a pending amount.
Title:
Misleading website and fake promo – no refund
Review:
I was tricked by an ad on Instagram pretending to be a special promo from Dodo Pizza. After entering my card details, €2.35 was charged without clear warning. The site turned out to be OnlineHelpPal.com — not related to Dodo at all.
I contacted support, and although they cancelled the subscription, they refused to refund the money, calling it a “registration fee.” This was deceptive and dishonest.
Be careful — this looks like a scam disguised as a promotion. I have submitted a complaint to econsumer.gov and advise others to avoid this site.
I found a payment of £60.62 on my bank statement which I had no knowledge of. Never heard of this company. They advised that I had registered with them for support with regard to my social media network (which I do not have).
Contacted the fraud dept at my bank who will investigate. My bank have cancelled my card and issued a new one. I hope to get the money refunded but at least I know that cannot take any further money from my account.
Payments to this company appeared on my credit card statement. No idea who they are or how this came to be but my credit card company spotted it and blocked my account.
I thought I was making a payment to an unreated site for £1.95. No receipt, no delivery address requested but later found a thank you note from this bunch of scammers for opening an account with them. I tried to access their website but it is not reachable. I do not know who they are or what service they say they offer. I want nothing to do with them but they still have my cash. Beware.
I never signed up to this website, it is a romanian scam via links that they sent to older people and grab cash from their cards. Beware
