My crispus sprout seeds didn’t germinate and i found plants online at the old railway. Was a bit sceptical as previous online purchases from other providers arrived half dead but decided to order them
And am I glad I did. They arrived in tip top condition packed by Luke these sprouts were a very good size and will be going into the ground soon once I have the bed ready. Will definitely use this quality company again I was most impressed

What a fantastic service, plants arrived within a day of ordering, knocks all other garden suppliers into a cocked hat ......highly recomend

I think there is a bit of a scam going here. I ordered some bags of slate to be delivered which was £37. Luckily I checked on the delivery price because it had taken the total to over £100.
No warning of this luckily I was able to duck out of the checkout. This kind of thing is disrespectful abuse of customers and should be made illegal. I’ve been a regular customer for plants and using the restaurant but after this they in the sea. There are plenty more garden centres near to where I live and can buy without attempted robbery

Went to the cafe food was expensive and not good even the cakes tasted of nothing

Ordered a tree, was delivered, perfect spent a good couple of hours fluffing it up looking nice, for the lights not to work, I emailed with my complaint and ive been blanked, nearly 300 pound wasted on this poor company

We were looking for some Kettler garden chairs and Old Railway Line GC was offering the best price online. I rang to check availability and the helpful guy who answered confirmed this and volunteered that delivery would be on a pallet at a cost of £70. Taking this into account, they were still the cheapest, so I placed an order online that evening. I received a call the next morning, giving me a choice of delivery dates and I accepted one a couple of days ahead. In fact, delivery was a day late, but the paperwork clearly showed that this was a courier delay and not an error by Old Railway Line. The chairs arrived in excellent, unmarked condition, leaving me with just the problem of disposing of a heavy old pallet. I can strongly recommend Old Railway Line GC as a supplier of garden furniture.

The garden centre itself is 5* but the customer service at the Express outside let it down to 1*
Last week we had the most delicious generously filled sandwiches at the Express . Sadly when I asked for a fruit tea I was shown two boxes and chose the one I liked only to be told that’s for staff only ! Don’t show the customer !
We decided to drive the half a hour to have the sandwiches again and sit with our dog outside .I was told tuna mayo was sold out.What At 12.40 pm ? As I couldn’t eat the other sandwiches and I wasn’t eating white mayo tuna I had nothing and had to watch my husband have his delicious sandwich . Couldn’t someone in the main restaurant have made one and I could have even collected it?
Very disappointed and our wander around the garden centre was cut very short so I could get back to our holiday cottage to have something to eat . No purchase there !

Always go here for gardening needs and the service is incredible every time but today was the first time I used the restaurant and I was shocked the amount of people in there and the staff was still smiling and the food is amazing. Fast and efficient service, considering the pressure they are under they are doing an amazing job and delivering top class service. Well done all 👍

I ordered a lovely tablecloth from their website, it arrived super quickly and it was very well packed! I would buy again from them!

Attended for afternoon tea. The sandwiches and cakes were lovely but what would have made it perfect would be a nice Christmas tea blend.
The only teas were the usual regular or fruit teas

Muddled flow through shop, no smooth flow from one area to another, signage not obvious, backtracked on ourselves several times whilst trying to find the restaurant. wanted to try their roast and waited for twenty minutes in queue, still only half way to being seated, only to be told that even once we were seated we would be another forty five minutes before we could expect our food to be delivered from the kitchen. Seats weren't being filled effectively with tables for two left unoccupied, and couples sat at tables for four.

I ordered an artificial spider plant which arrived on time as expected. The quality of the plant would have been great, but for the fact that lots of the leaves were crumpled and bent out of shape. I think this was insufficient packaging (squashed into a sealed, too small plastic bag) or poor storage, prior to postage. Should have returned it as wasn't that cheap but will attempt to fix the problem myself.

Absolutely phenomenal company to deal with.
Unfortunately, health issues make it difficult for me to go out shopping so I order virtually everything online. The kind people at the Old Railway Line Garden Centre make this an absolute joy rather than a chore.
I even received a phone call to offer me an alternative item when they were unable to fulfil part of my order.
Everything is so well packaged - even glass jars and fresh cakes survive the courier!
I can’t recommend them highly enough.

The Food was fantastic as always the staff were friendly and always smiling despite it being very busy, there was a bit of a wait for the food but given the amount of people it was acceptable and the food was definately worth the wait.

I am disgusted by this company. I ordered 8 bags of shingle through AMAZON shown on the web site at £5.99 per bag ( no visible weight was shown on the exterior of the bag) so I assumed for £5.99 they would be of a reasonable size. Two parcels eventually arrived and inside were indeed 8 bags of shingle but no bigger than 8 bags of sugar!(at £5.99 a bag)! I have emailed the company but no one will answer I am disgusted that I have fallen into their trap, my garden centre sells the small bags for £2.99 and the larger bags for £5.99! So I have been dishonestly done out of £3 per bag (£24). I have emailed to tell them I want to return the shingle but to no avail - no one will answer either my email direct to the company or through AMAZON - beware!! They are not to be trusted

I was quite shocked when I read the previous reviews. I have had a great experience with this company. I found 2 plant pots on their website and added 2 to the basket but on checkout yes the delivery was very expensive so I deleted one item and then this was corrected. I emailed them and got a very quick response. Delivery was fast too. Also I was kept informed from ordering to delivery. I’m glad I didn’t read the reviews first,because I don’t think I would have ordered from them but so glad I did.

Rip off attempted be very careful and check what they are selling
I purchased an item online at £59.95 and entered card details to pay, when the order came through a delivery charge of £79.95 had been added.
Tried to contact them with no response.
Contacted my bank who advised this was most likely a scam and told me what to write when contacting the seller.

I did get a response then but have waited 4 days for a refund.
Found the item as Garden for Less at the same price but it comes with free delivery!

Item took 3.5 weeks to arrive, was then the wrong item (right sku code) so wrong labelling or system error. Excuses made, parcel collected took 12 days to process return. No communication was offered- nothing to say when parcel would arrive or when return would be processed etc- I had to chase for information at every turn. Just an amateur set up.

Plants arrived healthy and well packaged. There's a wide choice of plants on the website which made it so difficult to choose but the plant descriptions (e.g. showing size when mature) really helps - I wanted honeysuckle which wasn't going to get too large
(I ordered rhubarb & custard and strawberries & cream)

What a joy! I found a monstera Thai constellation on their website at an amazing price so called to ask a few questions. Had a lovely chat full of giggling and laughing. Went to order but the delivery cost was very high so decided to drive in. 1,5h one way but honestly so worth it. This garden centre was beautiful, clean, all very neatly organised and with very pretty Mothers day displays. All plants were in an amazing condition, not overwatered and pests free (I like to check that before buying). The staff was incredibly friendly and kind, helpful and just lovely to chat to. I now have my wishlist plant and quite frankly I would happily drive all the way back just to have a walk around the shop!
