Worst bank Ever!

Worst bank I have ever had and the only reason I ended up with them was because they bought out bremer bank. I ended up not having a direct deposit in my bank account due to health reasons and not having a job at the moment and they all of a sudden started charging me service fees because of it. Like excuse me if I am already tight on money as it is why would you charge me fees for not having a direct deposit? Their customer service is extremely poor. They sent me 2 debit cards when transitioning to the new bank even though I only had 1 account and then they kept sending me notifications to make sure I activate the card even though I already did activate 1 of them. They are horrible. Do yourself a favor and find a great credit union that doesn't charge you for everything. I switched to leading edge and have been extremely happy with them.

Terrible service.

Terrible service.

I have been a customer of first Bank of Mundelein, then First Midewest and finally bought out by Old National Bank for 58 years. Difficult to reach anyone at my local branch. I have both personl and business accounts at ONB. I have been on hold for over 2 hours. No call back or help. Unable to make deposits to my Business account due to restictions on onlne mobile deposits. Very unhelpful staff, banker and Branch Manager. I am researching other local bank branches. No way to treat a customer

I would give zero stars if i could

I would give zero stars if i could. I took on a treasury position for a non profit and the few months I have had to deal with Old National Bank have been thee absolute worst experience ever dealing with a bank. As soon as our annual event is over and all the checks have cleared, I am running as fast as I can to a bank that is not as outdated.

Old national bank is out of date with the times.

Old national bank bought capstar bank which used to be Athens Federal. Old national bank is not a “live” bank which means your direct deposits will not be deposited until 24hrs after a business day. With all of today’s modern technology available they prefer to hold your funds from you until they release them in a business day (of course I’m sure they are collecting interest on your money for all these non business days). Most other banks can process transactions almost immediately. This bank cannot and doesn’t seem to want to. They would rather try to collect over draft fees by holding your money. Is this even legal. I would recommend any other bank besides this one, make sure they offer live banking and free accounts.

Service so bad, you won’t believe it

My wife’s Mercedes was financed through them by the dealership. We moved from Ohio to Michigan and it has been about a month trying to get them to send Michigan the documentation so the vehicle can be registered. Their customer service is at a loss when it comes to state regulations and is not compliant with state law. Easily the worst bank I have ever dealt with, and I was a victim of Wells Fargo fake account scheme. Avoid using this bank at all costs. Don’t take my word alone, read all the reviews across the internet and with the BBB website (where the have a 1.3 rating). Hopefully these reviews will help the board of the bank to prioritize customer service, otherwise they would be best to stop doing business.

They've gone down hill

There is something not right with Old National Bank for many years they have been good, but all these mergers and changes have made them terrible. Their app goes out all the time, after 10+ years with them, I have been considering switching.

Horrible investment experience

I used to love ONB many many years ago. Not anymore. Upon my parent's death, I had to become a trustee. Stephanie at the Evansville location drew up the paperwork and we found at least 2 mistakes- including the death date. She also did NOT ask me for my ID even though on the paperwork, it was marked that she had looked at my passport (which I'd left at home). When we pointed out the multiple mistakes and asked her to correct them, she never apologized for my time returning to sign the paperwork again nor did she ever admit to any mistakes. The handling of the investments was awful and the new guy, Craig, was quick to blame his predecessor on poor managment. I do NOT recommend having any investments through ONB.

HORRIBLE

HORRIBLE. I just went to Old National to transfer money to another person's account . The teller whose name is ERIC SELCHOW said he would have to charge me $30 and I have never been charged a fee for doing this many times in the past 6 months. He tells me the only way I can do the transfer and not get charged is to do it online. I told him I tried it before and it is not possible to do it online. He refused to believe me and said that it is possible. So I was about to drive away and go home and try it online but decided to do it on my iPhone in front of ERIC the teller and have him see the process and see that it is not possible. Sure enough, it is not possible to send to another person's account online. DID HE APOLOGIZE? NO.Why doesn't he know the banking process for sending money to an account??? He told me the only way to do it then "AS FAR AS HE KNOWS" is to pay the fee. I refused to pay the fee so I called the person I was trying to send the money to and asked if he can accept a cashiers check in the mail, delaying his payment. I walked out of the bank to make the call but the teller overheard me say the banker has he head up his butt so when I entered back into the bank and told him to cut a cashier's check, I also asked him why he didn't acknowledge or apologize for giving me wrong information that would have resulted in me driving home, trying to do it online with no results and having to go back to the bank because he gave me wrong information. HE REFUSED TO APOLOGIZE, HE REFUSED TO ACKNOWLEDGE FOR GIVING ME WRONG INFORMATION AND SAID "WHY SHOULD I HAVE TO APOLOGIZE WHEN I HEARD WHAT YOU SAID ABOUT ME ON THE PHONE?' Maybe because you made a gross error, I showed you, you were wrong and you refused to apologize BEFORE I made any comment on the phone. HE STILL REFUSED TO APOLOGIZE. It is also none of his business what I say to someone on the phone. He had a snotty smirk on his face. THIS BANK IS SO BAD THAT NUMEROUS PEOPLE HAVE QUIT BANKING HERE. I am pulling my business out of this bank. The staff are rude, uninformed, make dangerous mistakes and treat customers like crap. I will be posting on all major social media platforms about the awful treatment I received.

False Accusation

My name is Tracy L Lashley and I have been with First Midwest Bank (now, of course, Old National Bank) for many years. Although illegal activity has been a rising concern over the last few years, I have never had any incidents with my account or my Husband’s and Father’s account. We all love the services that Old National provides.

On the morning of Monday, November 6, I received an alert on my cell phone that my account had gone under $50.00. I deliberately set that alert so I’ll know when I get low. On Saturday, I had $139.00 in my account. I checked my account and somehow an ATM withdrawal happened without my knowledge and without my CARD!!!! I waited until the closest branch to my home, 3737 West 147th in Midlothian, IL, opened and went in thinking I was going to get some help. To my surprise, the relationship banker was the total opposite. She practically accused me and even offended me, without concern, asking if I had shared my PIN number! Her name is Angie Escorcia and I told her I don’t know anything about a Shorewood Bank that she had found on my account or where that location is! She did not believe me and would not answer any general questions. I felt very accused and what’s terrible is that she intended to make me feel that way. I told her that I was saving that money because my Mother’s death date dinner was coming and even if I wasn’t, I’d never share my information with anyone. She gave me a new card and said it would take 10 days to investigate. Never once said to me I’m sorry, or thanks for coming in, or anything. The way she was intentional in not wanting to speak about it made me wonder if it was an inside job and how many more may be happening to people. How could someone use an ATM without my card??? I was appalled. I have never seen any employee at Old National behave so coldly to a customer.

I left the bank and had to be at a doctor’s appointment at 10:45am. At 10:36am as I was pulling up in Evergreen Park at the doctor, it happened again but was declined because I had a new card. After my appointment, I went back to the bank to show her on my phone that someone tried it again, and she didn’t want to see it or talk about it. I left in tears because there was no general concern that my money was gone. I don’t use the ATM that much and probably only two or three times within the last six months. She didn’t want to hear anything I had to say.

I am writing this letter today because I am actually ashamed to be a customer now and confused as to why Old National Bank would employ people who make your customers feel like dishonest trash. That’s how I felt. I would like to know what I can expect in the future and what will happen to my $100.00 that I don’t have.

I hope no other customers suffer this loss and treatment as I have. Training is definitely needed.
Sending this to the OCC and Attorney General as well.

I had a good experience getting a mortgage through them. The lender agent we used was not a good communicator, but their rates were VERY competitive, almost too good to be true and we closed on our home and have a much better rate than the other options. Mostly satisfied!
