I started using Olapex 6 months ago and my hair started falling out at an alarming rate almost immediately. I thought it was due to hormones so kept using Olaplex (their marketing is very good, how could it possibly be their products?!). I finally stopped using their products 2 weeks ago after discovering other people experienced hairloss whilst using Olaplex. 2 weeks of no use and my hair is no longer falling out. This stuff is very bad and I’m horrified that they are still allowed to sell products that cause hairloss

Ordered the new no.5 leave in to try and the Evri delivery driver decided it was okay to leave my parcel outside my building on the pavement and of course it ended up stolen. I contacted Olaplex UK after getting slow responses with Evri and they immediately send out a replacement within the hour.

Very prompt replies to my initial email explaining what happened and a super fast resolution to my missing/stolen order. Thanks so much! Very happy.

Also I’ve been using the olaplex 1 & 2 (I’m a beauty professional) and also the oil and absolutely love it! It’s been working amazing for my hair.

I did use the shampoo & conditioner years ago and did have hair loss for some reason so I did stop using it and then saw that law suit so was scared but started again from last month as I really needed bond repair and I know they removed the lilial and it’s been fine. But I am still staying away from the shampoo & conditioner but the treatment products and oil have been great and my hair is so much more healthy after doing chemical treatments. The oil is actually my staple and can’t recommend it enough. On the second one already.

I love Olaplex products but this product is nowhere near the quality of their other products. After using the shampoo and conditioner for my gray hair, my hair feels like I've used a bar of soap on my hair. Combing out is terrible! It is like I didn't use a conditioner at all! Not sure what they are thinking with this line but it's just awful. Terrible job, Olaplex! What's worse is that I complained about this line to Olaplex and they absolutely didn't care. Won't stand by their product at all. $64 down the drain. Literally. Just Shameful.

Wish I could give 0 stars. Avoid at all costs. It literally burns your scalp and causes huge amounts of breakage and loss. Never experienced this at all until I started using Olaplex. I brought from a listed company and followed the instructions on the label. I now have years of recovery to get my hair back to how it was pre Olaplex

I have no issue with any products purchased directly from Olaplex. However - several attempts to gain a response from their central customer service team have been completely ignored. You would think a business of this scale & the cost of the products they manufacturer would afford them a decent customer service team. I have tried to seek their advice on potentially counterfeit products being sold under their own branding - you’d think they’d be interested! But nope… radio silence… thanks for your support Olaplex! #oplaplex #oplaplexcounterfeit

I have used Olaplex shampoo and conditioner for two months. My hair has become lank, my scalp itchy. What's worse, I recommended to my DIL soon after buying, she used three times and her entire face broke out with tiny, itchy bumps under the skin. I would not recommend these pricey hair products.

This product melts hair. It will take 4 or 5 years to grow back from olaplex chemical disintegration. I used it simply to help reinforce the ends of my natural light brown hair, and now it’s 8” shorter, thinned considerably and the texture feels beyond bleached. My hair is 100% natural, not bleached, untouched aside from Olaplex. Furious.

This product destroyed my hairs!! STAY AWAY

After highlights I bought Olaplex 4 and 5. I have hoped this will help me to have heathy hairs. Unfortunately it DESTROYED my hairs. It will take 3-4 years to recover from my loss. I spend 3 the danish crownes on different hair products, growth pills, serums and collagen intake.

My hairs break all over and I Lost by now 50% of my hair volume plus got bald in some places

Literally used the hair conditioning cream and my hair knotted when I got out of the shower and I couldn’t untangle and I had to rip it out. This is trash. Don’t ever use!!!!!!

I used number 3 for three months since December 2023 and I can honestly say my hair has never been in such a bad state. I'm usually quite careful with my hair but this stuff has made my hair snap off. It seems to be worse on the sides than the back and even after stopping for over a month the damage is done.
It's going to take years to regrow my hair

Shocking product. I have never experienced hair loss in my life until using these. After 2 weeks of using the shampoo, conditioner and no.3 leave in I messaged my sister to say “im going bald” with a picture, not realising at first what the cause was. She told me to go to the doctor and once she said that I thought “the doctor will ask if I’ve used any new products on my hair” that’s when it dawned on me, I have been using oleplex for 2 weeks. My head was constantly itchy, scabbing and burning with hair falling out at the top. Never ever again. This is a dangerous product. It clearly works for some people but is lethal for others, it shouldn’t be so readily available to the public and should be for hair dressers only.

Very good bond rebuilding shampoo n conditioner also use this when getting my colour to protect my hair from breakage and it does exactly that.

Initially the # 4 and 5 seemed to work well, and then massive hair loss that left bald spots and tons of breakage. This product is absolutely horrible!! It will take me years to fix this damage. Avoid this product unless you want to be bald.

Was recommended Olaplex by a hairdresser. I had hair down to my butt and have always been told I had good quality hair, even when I hadn’t been to the hairdresser for a trim for years. After using Olaplex my hair started breaking off so the shorter parts are about 15cm from my scalp.. It looks like I had really bad layers cut, I have lost more than 50% of my hair. Wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemy honestly.

Using the product since more than 1 year now. First i only bought nr3, nr4 , nr5. It was ok but nothing soecial, just like a supermarket product. I thought if i try the entire product line it will make the promises. I have tried 0, 8 and now bought 6 and 9 and my hair its fizzier then ever. My hair is only slightly curly/wavy, not afro and was not particularly damaged. Ising Olaplex was a huge waste of money.

went to the Olaplex (Canada) site to order a product.
Tried the product in the past and it smelled good. I hate strong smelling products. The product also cuts the static in winter.
I was sent a "15% discount on my first order" and that was what made me choose between Olaplex and another company. They also offer free shipping.
As I am checking out i get a pop up "NOT available to you". very strange as I had to fill in my address before finalizing the order.
The only thing that stopped me from cancelling the order is the free shipping.
Lesson learned. I am very annoyed

I can’t believe how much hype is around this brand when is absolutely awful. I was all in for their products, bought the big bottles of shampoo and conditioner, bought the no3 mask, no6 leave in and no7 oil, only to ruin my hair. I have never in my life had my hair so dried and damaged.
I emailed their customer service the other week and asked them if I can get at least a partial refund for the big bottles, since their products ruined my hair, and explained to them I bought them in December so I am past the 60 days they offer for return.
I got back an email that sounded more like a robot than a human, that asked me how I actually use the products and then an address where to return the products ONLY IF THEY WERE BOUGHT UNDER THE 60 DAYS LIMIT.
I emailed them back explaining them how I use them and that there are more than 60 days and that was the end. No one got back to me again. So basically you don’t just ruin your hair but there is no one to help you if you need. I wasted about £300 hoping to get that healthy hair promoted by everyone, only to ruin my hair.
Please save your money and go for any other brand, I’m pretty sure anything is better than OLAPLEX.

wish I'd read the reviews before ordering but after seeing the olaplex products everywhere, I stupidly thought well it must be OK, I'll give it a go.
How wrong was I--

First use, my hair felt like straw. Dry like cheap supermarket shampoo hasn't even done to my hair.
So thankfully, that's when I stopped using.

Awful stuff DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!

Started using olaplex after receiving some bottles in a sample pack Christmas present. I then started buying the large bottles through my hairdresser. At first I was like WOW this is absolutely amazing, my hair feels fab and it was looking amazing too. Unfortunately when I started washing my hair less per week that’s when hell broke loose. My hair started snapping off like it was fried with heat. From around my face to the back of my head my hair was literally snapping in half and falling out! I had some parts of the top of my head looking like 6 inch layers without having the layers cut in and I’ve lost half my hair in thickness.
A year later my hair is finally growing back, it will never have the thickness it had before olaplex which I’m gutted about but thank god I never get to use one of these products in my life again.
