OneDrive is Awful

This review is specifically for the OneDrive feature, sadly I couldn't figure out where to review this independently. Problems with this feature:

1. Autosave doesn't work unless you are saving to OneDrive (problematic if you need to save anything locally)
2. If you haven't downloaded OneDrive and go to Autosave a document, Microsoft saves this document in no-man's land. For me, it saved to an account under an email address I've never used with Microsoft before, and therefore had no login credentials for. When I downloaded OneDrive which was attached to my Microsoft account email, these files were gone. Couldn't access them anywhere due to them being saved to an account that just doesn't exist.
3. If you finally give up and decide to use OneDrive for the security of the Autosave feature, other files you try to save to your OneDrive may have compatibility issues. In my case, I created a folder for a course and the course has some software specific files I wanted to save with the course work. Can't save them to a folder on my desktop, or they won't be with the MS Word course notes. Can't save them to OneDrive, because the naming conventions with the added data files for that software are incompatible.

OneDrive is really poorly done. It should back up the work you save locally, not force you to save to the cloud. Or, at the very least, allow you to Autosave your locally saved documents without forcing OneDrive on you.

What a shame.

Billionaire crook

I bought a Hewlett-Packard computer with Microsoft windows 10 on it from OfficeMax in Jonesboro Arkansas who claims they have absolutely no record of it even though I have the credit card receipt. After months of not being connected to the Internet I connected to the Internet yesterday I went to turn my computer on the next day and windows had been removed from the computer and I was prompted to then purchase Microsoft windows from Microsoft. In my agreement with these two companies at no time does that agreement allow Microsoft to simply disable my Computer. This looks like classic anti-trust and I hope that others who have experience is full please contact me regarding this matter.

Mobile website is excellent

I’ve been using the mobile site for a while now, mostly to access email remotely, so I can’t say I’ve tested everything, but I’m very impressed with the solidity and useability of it so far.

I’ve been using webmail for more years than I wish to admit too, but what MS have done to make the experience so effective is impressive.

Password reset with Microsoft is impossible

I've just read a few other reviews and I am surprise that nobody from Microsoft offered to respond, which is not very professional, is it?
My own experience with their customer services was slightly different - what I mean - the person I spoke to was very friendly, he just couldn't help me or so he said.
All I needed was a password reset. I bought Office 365 and installed it but when I took my laptop for repair, all my software was deleted. I forgot my password and you can't access your Microsoft account and reinstall Office without it and after failing to reset the password myself, I decided to phone Microsoft support line.
Their adviser was very encouraging at the beginning, so I thought the problem will be resolved quickly. However, after being on the phone for ages and letting him access into my computer (!!!), which now I feel very uncomfortable about, providing him with all the information humanly possible, he still couldn't help me! He kept asking me to try to remember my password, which was silly really - if I could remember it, why would I bother calling him in the first place? Microsoft treats forgetting the password like a serious crime and despite offering the password reset all over the internet, they either can't or won't help you.
They use big statements such as:"...we take privacy of our clients very seriously...la-di-da-di-da" but we all know this is not true, otherwise they wouldn't be asking me, actually really private, questions such as my credit card details and email addresses and contents of those emails (!!!) to my friends. What have my friends got to do with all this? And what about their privacy?
By the end of the day, their guy was IN my laptop and could see everything, not to mention that I provided him with all the other information he needed, so he could see that I was, who I said I was. Who was he trying to protect my account from - myself?? If I was a hacker, surely I would be interested in more lucrative things than preventing someone to reinstall their Office365?
Interestingly, I was offered a discount if I decide to buy another Office365 from them.
Well, now I know why they didn't want to help me in to start with.

Call me naïve bit a really expected more from them.

Very poor support from Microsoft

In the past Microsoft have encouraged you to stack subscriptions to Office 365 so that you have one ready once your previous subscription expires. Now it seems that they are more interested in making you sign up to a recurring payment at an amount much greater than you can pay to buy an extra year from a retailer. It seems that stacked subscriptions can just “disappear” and Microsoft support go to incredible lengths to avoid reinstating lost subscriptions even though it is easy to see that, for example, there should be one left if you’ve redemeed 3 and only used 2! They wanted me to allow them full access to my computer even though they can see everything they need in my account, unbelievable. After hours of chat, broken promises and faulty fixes I am no further forward and losing the will to continue, their chat staff are technically inept and promises that technical staff will call back are worthless.

Very unhappy with O365 and I wish I could go back to a local install

Subscription canceled because my visa card had expired and I had no warning of any kind followed by a nightmare trying to get office working again and having to sign-in on each application separately and being forced to change my password and then presented with "features locked you must upgrade errors" and so on. Could not even copy password from a saved document because this feature was disabled so had to type in a complex password by hand several times and twice over! What a mess and what a waste of over an hour to sort out when I had work to do!
I am now looking very seriously at google drive and google docs which are office compatible.

I want to review Office365

I want to review Office365. As Head of IT for a Swiss SME I wish to state I am extremely impressed at the quality of service, the speed and professionalism of MS365 Support, and the flexible and low pricing of their services.
For our company it has been a big step forward in quality of service and cost.
Just for the record - I would not hesitate to recommend MS365, or Office 365. We use Kiosk, E1 and pro-plus subscriptions mostly.

Unresolved refund and rude staff.

I subscribed to Microsoft with the 30 day trial which I cancelled it within the 30 days.
I noticed that £7.99 is being taken out so I contact them to stop the payments and to make sure it was cancelled.
Now it had been taken out of my bank several times, I asked for the whole lot to be refunded as I had cancelled within the time to be charged. She said she couldn’t and was only able to refund this months and that refund was £6 I questioned as to why £6 when £7.99 had been taken out and it’s due to shipping costs? I had nothing shipped out. I ask to speak to a manger as I was not happy and this lady was very rude, interrupting and ignoring me. She puts me on hold comes back a minute later saying the manager wasn’t there and she wouldn’t be able to do anything. I ask for the supervisor or the person that’s running it in the absence of the manager. To which I got the same reply they won’t be able to do anything, as you can imagine I’m very frustrated so I ask again this actually went on for half an hour of this lady refusing to get her manager even though at one stage she said she had spoken with the manager but put her on the phone.
I have at this point been on the phone for around 45-50 minutes still not resolved anything.
She then says her manager will call me back, I ask for her name as I want to complain the response I get is I gave it to you at the beginning of the call, I then ask again what is your name she says Francis that wasn’t the name given, I then ask for her surname and she hesitates and says June, I question her on it and she then says her name is June France clearly not her name, and I still have yet to receive the call from her manager.
Disgusting customer service I am not happy at all and I am still no further on getting a full refund of what should never have been taken out of my bank.

I have subscribed to Office365 for my…

I have subscribed to Office365 for my business. I relied on onedrive to synchronize development files. I have 10 gb on my onedrive. The onedrive application on Mac OS takes 1 day to synchronize the files while it takes 5 minutes for Google Drive to do the same thing. It is not professional. Here is what happened. 95% of the files were on my mac but onedrive had to check the integrity of the files and match it to the ones on Microsoft server. Then, it had to download the new one. This process is very very slow on Onedrive. I could not work because I expected updated files of code from the synchronization and it didn't come.
Obviously Microsoft does not invest into onedrive. People who subscribe to office 365 don't subscribe to a significantly better server as compared to people who don't pay.
I forecast to move my files to Google drive.

MS Rules - no personal settings allowed

Used this for longer than I care to admit and always been extremely happy. However a recent security update has destroyed the basic function of Windows and Office 2016. All the personal settings allowed in Windows and Office were overwritten with the factory standard. Not a problem? Just reset them - takes a long time by the way and when you shut down they are reset when you next start up the programmes! Also part of the important security update were MS products - games etc. which require a subscription but cannot be deleted from the computer and no one at Microsoft knows how to remove them! Now I have a computer full of applications I do not need nor want and can't get rid of. I am bombarded by adverts when I turn on the computer for these unwanted applications! Why have setup/settings that are user defined only for them to be deleted by Windows?
Has someone made a big mistake with the "security" update and the sneaky download of junk? MS won't admit this and they don't even know their product well enough to understand the problem. They asked me - the user - to send them screen shots of each step and what settings were changeable by the user!
Used to be a champion for Windows and Office but no longer.

I cannot fault this product

I cannot fault this product. Having used three different freeware office programs and always found some elements to be missing or not working as intended, and having always used fully licensed MS Office in the working environment, I bought a copy of Office Professional under the Home Use Program. My only fault with MS Office Professional is that its normal RRP is prohibitively expensive and I was only able to transition from the freeware software that is file type compatible to the genuine article via an employee home use offer. It would be good to see Microsoft reduce the cost of their software for a wider class of non corporate users.
