A delicious Summer English Sparkling

Really quick delivery. This is my third order of this English Sparkling Rose. It is just perfect for a Summer party. I have bought more for the said Summer party and hoping it will last until then. It’s light, refreshing, beautifully balanced and a truly good sparkling English!!!

Selling wine not in stock & not refunded after 12 days

Placed an order for a Birthday gift (000068530) after double checking online it was actually in stock. The next day order cancelled, wine not available. Really unprofessional and now need to shop elsewhere. Should have rung alarm bells when the confirmation email said orders might be delayed due to Covid-19!! Avoid.

Further to your reply. You HAVE NOT refunded me 12 days after you said that you did. You also upon being told about this via email and saying you would get back to me and sort it out, you did not. I have reported you to my Credit Card company so they can Chargeback the funds. Your company is a disgrace!

Reply from Winebuyers

Hi Louise,

We're sorry that we weren't able to fulfil your order and appreciate your disappointment, particularly as it was intended as a birthday gift.

As a marketplace, we work with a large network of independent wine merchants and suppliers, many of whom also operate retail stores. While stock levels are updated regularly, on rare occasions an item may sell elsewhere before inventory updates reach our platform, resulting in an order becoming unavailable after purchase.

In your case, we can see that the issue was identified promptly, you were informed the following day, and a full refund was processed immediately. While we appreciate this doesn't undo the inconvenience caused, we always aim to notify customers as quickly as possible when these situations arise.

We apologise again for the disappointment and thank you for your feedback, which helps us continue improving our systems and supplier integrations.

Kind regards,
The Winebuyers Team

Not a fan, but for £12 a bottle........

I guess for £12 a bottle I should be positive but the colour (orange) put me off before we even tried it. The wine (only tried one so far) was a bit flat and acidic, sorry I won't buy it again, not a fan, especially of the colour. I was expecting Rose not Orange

Winebuyers are great…but

Winebuyers, process and communication excellent. Unfortunately the same can’t be said for Fed Ex- late delivery( said 7.40-11.40 finally on turned up just before 5) and damaged packaging- thankfully internal bubble pack prevented damage to the wine.

Misleading cancellation policy

Misleading cancellation policy - not to be trusted.

I placed an order with this company in February 2026 and there was no update regarding despatch after four days so I called and the number was out of order. This was a red flag to me so I asked them to cancel the order by email. Their policy states "you can cancel the Contract within 14 days without giving any reason." Unfortunately it was not this simple and their cancellation policy is very misleading.

Last night very late into the night there was an exchange of emails between myself and a named employee initially then the rest of the emails had no name attached. They became more patronising and in my opinion aggressive as the evening went on. Twice I asked to cancel the order and there was no reference to this in subsequent email replies. Eventually I was told "If the order has not been dispatched, it will be cancelled immediately and refunded in full. If the order has already been dispatched, it cannot be intercepted mid-transit. In that case, you may refuse delivery or return the goods upon receipt, and a full refund will be issued in line with the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013."

There is no mention whatsoever of the above in their cancellation policy and it contradicts the quote from the policy that I posted earlier.

I explained this but this matter was not addressed and the emails just repeated themselves. I was then informed in yet another email
"This appears to be your first time buying something online, so let me explain. You cannot purchase something and then request a refund when the order is mid-transit and on it's way to you."
I felt that was a very rude, aggressive, childish and unprofessional comment so I responded accordingly.
At one point during the trail of emails I was told
"We were therefore disappointed to see the Trustpilot review, as it does not reflect a missed delivery window or a failure to dispatch within the stated timeframe. We respectfully ask that you reconsider or amend the review in light of the above clarification."
However I have never posted any review until this one so accusing me of doing so was yet again very unprofessional. The poster they referred to was obviously one of many people who have had dreadful experiences with this company.

The person who initially contacted me contradicted themself initially saying
"Your order is being shipped directly from the supplier in Spain who dispatches to the UK once a week, typically on Fridays. Shipments usually arrive in the UK by Thursday, with delivery expected within 24–48 hours thereafter." I was stunned that it took from Friday to Thursday for the wine to arrive in the UK. A very slow boat indeed. Then she said it left Spain on a Wednesday.
Very confusing.

In one email it was stated that delivery times were clear and transparent. If this is so, why would I complain and cancel my order? I had no idea it would take so long.

There is more that I could mention but I have wasted enough of my time on this shambles of a company whose wine seems very overpriced to other companies and who do not seem to stock basic wines which results in ridiculously long shipping times.

Had I read the reviews on Trustpilot I would never have placed an order with them and I strongly advise anyone reading this not to waste their money buying from this dreadful company who has extremely unprofessional employees.

I have recently been using the BA wine flyer who stocked the wines this company didn't and they arrived in 2 days. I also accrued a huge amount of Avios by doing so. Take your business elsewhere.

I am बेहद disappointed with the service…

I am बेहद disappointed with the service I have received so far.

I placed an order for a bottle of wine several weeks in advance for a birthday celebration, but it did not arrive on time. After chasing this up, I was then informed that the item was out of stock. I was asked to either select an alternative or request a refund, however I have since received neither—nor any further response from your support team.
