Yet another dissatisfied "customer"
Light fitting ordered 26th November 2023.
Informed that it will not available until January 2024.
Cancelled order 13th December and requested refund. Reordered from alternative supplier who delivered within four days.
It's now 6th February and still no refund after several emails from "Connor" with excuses of backlog and Christmas holidays.
This is the same pattern experienced by many reviewers, so you would think that the management of this company would realise something is wrong with their system.
I can only advise to avoid this company should you wish to actually receive your goods or any satisfactory customer service.

Better still, avoid ordering from this company. My experience is similar to many of the reviewers. Ordered a table lamp on 31 October 2023. So many excuses. Same script. Am now referring this issue to Barclaycard Fraud. I was offered a ‘lovely discount’ if I ordered from them again! Seriously?! I have no lamp, no refund and they want me to order from them again…

I had a very unpleasant experience with Ocean Lighting. My order was placed on the 13th of November, delivery time was 7-10 working days according to their website. It was important as I had to finish a project. The order has not been delivered in due time. I have tried contacting Ocean Lighting a number of times by phone and email and have to say that it has been a while since I came across such a bad client service. It was very hard to get somebody to answer and to receive reliable information. At the end, after a lot of hassle, my order has arrived 2,5 month later, at the end of January and that was after I have requested my money back. Never again will I use Ocean Lighting for my projects, as they don’t sell anything particularly unique and I would prefer to work with client friendly and reliable companies.
Do not order from this shambolic company
From the time of ordering customer care and service has been beyond appalling. Do not use this company. In the end I cancelled my order, requested a refund.....still waiting 3 weeks later. They take days upon days to respond to any emails. Disgusted

Terribly disappointed as I chose to support a small company rather than a large department store which sells the same item. Every tiem I call customer service it goes through to voicemail. would not advise purchasing from this company as a result.
Slow delivery
Purchased a table light at the end of December 23. Website states delivery between 3 and 5 working days and if out of stock can take up to 14 days. It’s now been a month and still no delivery. Very poor service Ofean Lighting

absolutely appalling. the lies! after a product i bought online in September 2023 became out of stock, i contacted ocean lighting for news.... it is February and still nothing. no money. no explanation, just 'be patient, we are looking into it'. i just want the money back. 5 months. incredible
Unfulfilled order and awful customer service
Order placed on the 5th December, shown as in stock at time of ordering, and order confirmation advised it would be there no later than 10 working days.
I have been chasing this all month to establish where the order is and when I can expect it, I have received one response letting me know it was out of stock but would be there the following week. It is now two weeks later and I cannot get a response to any of my emails and I have never been able to get hold of anyone on their phoneline. Abysmal customer service.
Paul was amazing
Paul was amazing. I had some doubts about the delayed delivery of my order and a few days ago decided to email Paul direct. Reassuringly, he came back to me very quickly. He was courteous, genuinely concerned and keen to help sort things out. He offered me a full refund, if desired. True to his word, he chased up my order and kept me updated on the delivery progress. My order arrived today, in perfect condition. I am thrilled with my new lights. Thank you for the great customer service!

Ocean lighting are not learning. Took multiple frustrating unanswered messages to get to anyone to discuss order. Still increasingly loads of unsatisfied customers. These reviews reflect mostly delayed items and poor or non-existent communications. When will you up your game?.

Ordered lamp… not received and no refund!!
I ordered a lamp and light fitting on 16/12/23 at the time of ordering the item was in stock and I was told 10 days delivery. The item still hadn’t arrived 6 weeks later. I emailed ocean lighting and was told that the lamp was out of stock! And would be back in stock on 22/01 to be shipped. I have tried to contact ocean lighting and have no response to my messages left on voicemail. I still haven’t received the lamp and they have not provided me with a refund. Avoid this company. They take your money and don’t ship the items. I will now have alternative but to cibtact my credit card company to open a dispute. Very disappointing

Order placed on 15 January, goods listed as in stock. Delivery quoted at 3-10 days. As of January 30 nothing has been received. Telephoned and messaged Ocean lighting on 29th January & received no response. Wish I had read the other reviews here on Trustpilot before I ordered.

I ordered my light in October with a 3-10 day delivery. It was never received and I had to repeatedly chase ocean lighting as to why. It seems the product would not be in stock till March so I cancelled the order which was agreed and confirmed by email. Since then it has been countless phone calls, emails, twitters direct messages. I eventually get a response most times with emails saying the refund has taken place, but this is not the case. I am still waiting in January 2024. I would advise avoiding this company

Waiting a refund from this company
I ordered two Laura Ashley lampshades in July 2023, despite phoning and emailing ( never once them contacting me always the other way around) was eventually told that they had a dispatch number, and should be with me in a week.
They never arrived, I rang and was told they must have got lost and would reorder, waited, rang again, was told that they had sold out and couldn’t get them.
Asked how I wanted to proceed, a refund please, told this had to be done manually and would take up to two weeks.
Other excuses despite me ringing and emailing I have been fobbed of with so many excuses to many to add here.
Sadly I’m still waiting as of today the 27th January 2024 for my refund around £80.
The emails are from someone called Conner, if you read this Conner maybe you would like to give me my refund, without any more I want say excuses, but I think that you are actually telling lies.
My advice steer well clear of this company!
Update review, have finally had a refund on February the 8th 2024, after getting in touch with them again and spoke to Paul ( I think is the owner of the company) , he got a refund sorted straight away.
Very apologetic explaining to me what was going on in the company for the last few months.
I’m very happy that it has finally been resolved.
CHARGEBACK!!!
Ordered 4/12/23 paid by debit card, they couldn't deliver before Xmas so I cancelled 11/12/2023. Could not get my refund. Spoke to them a dozen times and no joy. Then I was told about ChargeBack which all banks do. Told Barclays 24/01/2024 and this morning 26/01/2024 refund back in my account!! Thank you Barclays! Don't let these people get away with holding on to your money! P.s. ignore good reviews.

After chasing this refund several times refund was actually received 4/2/24 time frame for refund not good will certainly think twice before using again.
Awful experience!
Having waited since 29th Oct for a mirror that was meant to have a 3-10 day delivery lead time, I finally received it today and it’s damaged! I am absolutely at the end of my tether with this business. I have chased and chased only to be told they have a Christmas backlog (I ordered the mirror in October!!!!!). I have been asked to take my 1 star review down in return for a £30 discount and now I will no doubt have to wait for the mirror to be collected and to receive my refund. AVOID AT ALL COST!!!!!!

Like many other reviewers I ordered a light fitting which was supposed to be delivered within 10 days but then heard nothing. I looked at reviews on Trustpilot and worried that I too would not receive my order but also noticed that on one of the replies to a review the company asked that you contact them before posting a review. I emailed both the sales and Paul the director and received a response within 2 hours with a promise my order would be with me by Wednesday which as promised has just been received. Having used this company before I am willing to accept this is just a blip. I can't give more than 4 stars but I am really happy with my purchase.

We ordered and paid for lights in November in order they arrived before Christmas- nothing happened, I emailed them! Agh they said there was a problem in the warehousing delivery would be 8/1/24. 8/1/24 no lights I emailed them again asking where are my lights - agh there has been a further issue delivery date expected 18/1/24 however we would be notified. In fairness we were notified. The goods had arrived at the company and were undergoing rigorous inspection before dispatch. Arrival date 22/1/24. Goods arrived and guess what their rigours inspection clearly failed as a lights collar was broken. We checked the delivery boxes and the plastic piece was not inside. Nor could it have dropped out. Their lack of communication is terrible try ringing you cannot get through nor do they respond to emails.
