Apothecary Scales
I recently purchased a set of apothecary scales, with a wooden base, a drawer and a brass balance beam. Overall, I am very pleased with the final result, especially as this item was a very specific fit for my display shelf.
The dispatch and delivery process was reasonable and the item arrived securely packaged and in good order, which is the most important thing for antique items.
The scales were in good condition upon arrival. The brass beam and components were stable, and the wooden base was intact.
Similar scales can be found on sites like ebay much cheaper but the premium was entirely justified by the dimensions. Finding a scale that was narrow enough and under the 35 cm in height proved surprisinglydifficult. These scales were the perfect size for my display which was the deciding factor.

Bought 2 lovely framed antique anatomical prints that arrived in good order. Proprietors were helpful and accommodating, communication was excellent throughout, the packaging was robust (had to be as shipped overseas), and shipping was quick. Thanks!

Shipping cost was excessive
Shipping cost was excessive. I purchase many small items from the UK and the cost to ship this item was 35.06 dollars. The actual postage on the packaging was 16.50 pounds. Even with the currency exchange was was much to high.
