I had the best experience.Yagmur my coordinator was really helpful and answered all of my questions... so patient and polite before, during and even after my surgery. Hospital was so clean, nurses and interpreter Burak were so kind and procedure went well and was so quick. I've had no pain, my scars have almost gone. Every precaution was taken and i had so many tests done to make sure i was well enough to have the procedure and results came back within hours... i felt so safe. 10/10 I would definitely recommend

The operation went without complications. The scars healed after a week. The doctor was very friendly and was there every day after the operation to ask how I was. Overall, everything went perfectly and I don't regret having this operation.

I recently underwent VSG surgery at The Obesity Clinic in Istanbul, Turkey, and my experience was overwhelmingly positive. The clinic organised my transfers, surgery, and hotel accommodation flawlessly, and they kindly allowed me to bring a companion free of charge, so I brought my mum along.

Dr Hasan Abuoglu performed the surgery with exceptional skill and care, and I’m delighted to have only two small, barely visible incisions as a result. Burak, my patient coordinator, was incredibly helpful and attentive throughout my five-day stay, ensuring that everything went smoothly. Elif, the dietitian, provided me with invaluable nutritional guidance and recipes to help me transition to my new healthy diet.

The clinic also provided me with over a month’s supply of protein shakes, vitamins, stomach protectors, and blood thinners to aid my recovery. However, the only drawback was the lack of English-speaking staff during the night shifts at the hospital, which caused some communication challenges. Thankfully, my mum’s husband, who speaks fluent Turkish, was able to help with translation when needed.

Overall, I am immensely grateful to The Obesity Clinic for changing my life and for their ongoing support over the next 12 months. I would highly recommend Dr Hasan Abuoglu to anyone considering bariatric surgery in Turkey.

I had a gastric sleeve on the 1st of October.
I've been thoroughly checked pre op and had Burak as my interpreter throughout the whole journey. Nurses dietician Elif and DR. Hasan theyve all been amazing.
Overall I'm happy and satisfied.
4 stars just for the night time nurses which weren't speaking English and that created a language barrier. Otherwise everything was amazing.

The drs were amazing and professional. The surgeon checked on me everyday and reassured me even when I didn’t feel the best. My only frustration was the language difficulties with the night time staff when there was no interpreter to help out.

I Had my surgery one week ago. Everthing went good and I am Feeling good. Everthing was good organized. Sometimes I felt a Bit lost after day 2. The nurses where really nice, Like the doctor and Elife. The only thing which wasn't so nice was my room. It was a Bit old and Not so Clean as I expected.

I just wanted to write a review for anyone else like me who did years of research scrolling the Internet for reviews good and bad before I booked my gastric sleeve.
I looked at loads and loads of company's and surgeons before booking with marmara obesity clinic istanbul with Dr hasan.
I can hands down say it was a brilliant experience from start to finish the care was fantastic the pre op tests where quick and easy we got took from one to another. We met Dr hassan then had the surgery it took 30 minutes for the surgery then you go to recovery to be woken then took back to your room. The nurses where brilliant the only issue I had was the language barrier with the nurses but I expected that. I just used Google translate for what I needed. Dr hassan does come and see you every day so you can tell him how you feel and what you need as his English is very good. I'm nearly 2 weeks post op, I'm nearly healed now and feel absolutely fine. In 3 weeks I'm 2stone 4 down already from the LRD diet. I don't regret a thing. So thought I'd leave this review to help others sitting on the fence scared like I was😊

All the staff and the surgeon were fabulous.
Caring and very clean quiet place to have my gastric sleeve done.
Would definitely recommend Dr Hasan and all the other doctors/nurses.
Even the coordinators were always happy to assist me with any questions.

I definitely made the right decision.
I wanted to have gastric sleeve surgery. I quickly realized that there were some clinics in Turkey that offered such a procedure. The Obesity Clinic Istanbul was suggested to me and I had been in contact with Elife. I felt very comfortable with Elife from the first conversation. She answered all of my questions and gave me the time to look around further. I just wanted to make the right decision and have a good feeling. Elife understood that. We exchanged many voice messages, which enabled me to build trust. It was also important to me who operated on me. Prof. Dr. Hasan ABUOGLU convinced me; he has years of experience and has already carried out many operations. He is not only a doctor but also a professor, which means that he also has to develop new theses in his field. He knows his craft very well.
I got to know him personally before my operation. Even after the operation, he and his team visited me every day to check on me.
Transport worked really well, which was also organized by Elife.

I'm glad I had the operation here. Elife organized everything really well and helped a lot with the translation.
What I think is really great is the aftercare. I'm in a Whatsapp group with all the important people, doctor, Elife, nutritional advice... I can ask all my questions and always get an answer in a timely manner. Much better than after any operation here in Germany.

Ich habe mich definitv Richtig entschieden.
Ich wollte eine Schlauchmagen Operation bei mir machen lassen. Schnell wurde mir klar das es einige Kliniken in der Türkei gibt die so einen Eingriff anbieten. die Obesity Clinic Istanbul wurde mir vorgrschlagen und hatte Kontakt mit Elife gehabt. Bei Elife hatte ich mich schon beim ersten Gespräch sehr wohl gefühlt. Sie hat meine Fragen alle beantwortet und mir auch die Zeit gegeben mich weiter umzuschauen. Ich wollte mich einfach Richtig entscheiden und ein gutes Gefühl haben. Elife hatte dafür verstädnis. Wir haben viele Sprachnachrichten ausgetauscht, dadurch habe ich ein vertrauen aufbauen können. Wichtig war mir auch wer mich Operiert. Prof.Dr.Hasan ABUOGLU hatte mich überzeugt, er hat Jahre lange Erfahrung viele Operation schon druchgeführt. Er ist nicht nur ein Doktor sondern auch ein Professor, das heißt das er in seinem Gebiet auch neue Thesen aufstellen muss. Er beherschtert sein Handwerk sehr gut.
Noch vor meiner Operation lernte ich Ihn Persönlich kennen. Auch nach der Operation war er jeden Tag mit seinem Team bei mir um sich zu erkundigen.
Transport hat super geklapt, der auch von Elife organisiert wurde.

Ich bin froh das ich die Operation hier gemacht habe. Elife hat alles super organisiert, hat beim Übersetzten super geholfen.
Was ich ganz toll finde ist die Nachbetreuung. Ich bin mit allen wichtigen Leuten, Doktor, Elife, Ernährungsberatung...in einer Whatsapp Gruppe. Ich kann all meine Fragen stellen und bekomme Zeitnah auch immer eine Antwort. Viel besser als nach jeder Operation hier in Deutschland.
