Facilities dated for campers and campervans
Have been coming to this site for 30 years, it has developed over the years from a farm site to now being owned by a larger group company.
We had a small grass pitch for our small campervan charged at £40. On arrival at 6:10pm there was no reception as it closes at 6pm. An envelope with our name was taped to the door with site details. Stapled to the back was a small bit of paper stating that the water on site was unsuitable for drinking unless it was boiled first so we turned round and off we went to the shops to purchase some drinking water. Good job we spotted the wee note!
The toilets have not changed in years despite the massive expansion of static vans. The entrance tiled step to the toilets was broken and hazardous, inside was very dated and dingy and it closed at 08:30am for cleaning just when a lot of folk are getting up and wanting to use it!
If you need WIFI at all there is none that I could find and no reference to it on the site notes that we got. There is also no recycling facilities on site, that I could find, just normal bins.
The site now appears very much geared to the static holiday homes with campers and campervans a second thought now, shame as it is a lovely location.
