Inflexible

I have been trying to get a will written for some time by Oakwood Estates but I am frustrated they have yet to write a will that conveys my wishes. They are inflexible about the wording and the statements that should appear in the will citing "it's required by law". I disagree.
I do not think they are interested in a client that does not bring about any benefit to the company e.g. setting up a Trust, nominating them to be Executors in the will or be consulted by nominated Executors if they required advice, be the keepers of the will. I am doing none of that.

Just do not !

ATTENTION: Owner of This Agency
Your staff is an absolute bunch of clowns and is actively making you LOSE MONEY!
I was shown a property where half the house was locked and inaccessible, a complete waste of my time. When I complained, your agent did not apologised and acted completely unprofessionally. This level of incompetence is driving away potential buyers.
To the owner of the rented three-bed bungalow in Denham that is trying to sell it, Get your property off this agency’s books immediately! I might be interested in buying it, but I will never deal with these jokers again.
Your poor service is losing you sales. Get your team under control! And don’t come to me saying I can give you a call to complain, have some decency!

ALERT..

Buyer Experience with Oakwood Estates – Kenyon Way, Langley, SL3

I would like to share my experience to help other potential buyers be cautious. In October 2024, I had an offer accepted through Oakwood Estates for a 2-bedroom ground floor flat on Kenyon Way, Langley, SL3. At the time, I was informed that the property was not in a chain.

Based on this information, I proceeded with all necessary steps: instructing solicitors, arranging a survey, and securing a mortgage offer. Unfortunately, after incurring costs of around £1,300, I was later informed that the seller had not yet secured an onward purchase. This caused delays, and eventually the sale fell through. My mortgage offer expired, my solicitor’s fees and survey costs were lost, and the purchase did not complete.

What has been particularly disappointing is that, despite this, I noticed the property is still listed for sale almost a year later.

I have no personal issue with the estate agent, but I want to raise awareness for other buyers. My advice is to proceed with caution, confirm all details about the seller’s position early on, and protect yourself from potential financial loss.

Be careful with this company

Be careful with this company, they charge people money without first explaining everything to them. They are refusing to pay me £126.92. I will speak to lawyers or ask for more help to get my money back.

Full financial details required before viewings!

This company were insistent that I hand over all financial information before they'd even do a viewing. This is private information that is usually only required upon application for tenancy and not something that should be handed out to all and sundry.
Disappointing not to be able to deal with professionals rather than data gatherers.
