You can trust this site. Good communication and packaging.

I must say I was a bit wary about ordering from this site due to the most recent reviews but I had absolutely no problems.
I ordered my item, which it stated it would be dispatched within 5-7 working days and received a shipping notice and tracking number within that period. The item arrived 8 days later and was packaged well.
I would definitely order from this site again.

Way overdue order no updates

Oder had to come from warehouse i was told then no updates emailed them was told it would be there by the Friday and they would email me once it had shipped with tracking number then nothing nearly 2 months later and nothing I'm really patient but this was ridiculous have asked for a refund

Ordered from this company and the…package never arrived but...

Ordered from this company and the package never arrived, and it was claimed it was lost in transit. However, I did get a full refund for the package once I contacted customer service. I let them know I had also put in chargeback comms with my bank, which may have helped facilitate a quick resolution.

I can confirm that opening a chargeback can delay a refund, if an order doesn't arrive after 20 days and the tracking hasn't updated the team will always process a claim with the postal services and refund/replace an order.

Order never turned up

Ordered a child's birthday present 3weeks in advance. Never turned up. Terrible service and probably a scam site judging by the other reviews. Lesson learned to always check the reviews first. Had a local web address but was actually based in the UK. Worst service and fraudulent. Communication was sparse when I emailed and all they said it was on its way. Tracking did not work

In regards to your order we do state clearly at the top of the listing before you order to allow up to 15 working days for your order to ship - this is due to the item being held in an overflow warehouse.

Happy Customer

I ordered a toddler bath toy from here, a bit odd but it was the only place I could find it online with a reasonable shipping fee. I was a bit confused when I noticed a UK URL in my confirmation email and then came here to find a bunch of negative reviews.

I wanted to jump on here and say that the product I purchased arrived within a couple of weeks and was tracked. Happy with my experience and the comms I received along the way - thank you!

Banned For No Reason

Used to be good and I was a loyal customer. Changed hands. Had no games for a while, then they were priced at $999 for some reason. And when that resolved then Paypal payments failed. So I waited for them to get back on their feet then forgot about them for a while in favor of MightyApe. But since they had a bunch of things out of stock recently, I returned to nzgameshop and put a bunch of games in my cart. Forget about the cart for a bit because of life, come back and my account is banned and deleted. What?
I heard it was still no good anymore, but seriously what?

NZ Buyers beware

I used to order from these guys many years ago (when they were still NZ based), they were very reliable then. I wasn't too keen on seeing they were UK based now (according to website), but thought I would try them again anyway (and deal with slower delivery). Updated password, logged in. Ordered bluray set. First red flag was my bank blocking the paypal credit card payment to Xbite Ltd. Approved it to proceed as one off payment. Received email confirmation of order. Went in to check order status a week later and not only is the item no longer listed on their website for sale, but my account had also been deleted (user known, email unknown). Checked trustpilot and saw recent negative reviews here(should have checked first). Searched here for Xbite Ltd (company that NZgameshop is front for now) and saw multiple negative recent reviews re payment and no delivery (and one in Feb 2024 mentioning them currently being dissolved).
Luckily I paid by paypal and they refunded immediately. Would suggest you do the same unless you receive concrete confirmation/contact with a human(seller) on that end along with shipping dates, tracking etc.

Paid these guys for a product in the beginning of November for a Xmas gift for my grandson, a month later when I was enquiring about tracking they have said they don’t have the product and have not given a refund. Crap communication Crap company BEWARE

Takes the money and runs.

Ordered a Lego set from them after 2 months of waiting I asked for an update and was assured it would ship. Item never arrived and they stopped replying to emails about it.

1 year later still no item or refund. Happened to see their crappy email asking for a reciew while clearing things out so here it is.

Edit - love their reply. "We stopped replying and 90 days passed therefore we don't have to do anything"

After a month of waiting for my order…

After a month of waiting for my order to ship I got an email saying they were out of stock and a refund would be received.

I brought another copy of the game locally then received another email saying my order had been shipped, so now I have 2 copies of the same game.

They sent a email for return shipping that doesn't work in New Zealand and said I could pay the shipping and it would be refunded with either PayPal (I don't have) or store credit that after weeks of poor replies I'd never shop with them again.

Cut my losses and not worth the stress

Avoid this company like the plague

Avoid this company like the plague. A bunch of frauds. They're based in England so don't expect any short postage times. In fact don't expect anything at all as they never sent the item I paid for, took 12 days to tell me it was out of stock and only refunded me for a lesser amount after many emails. Do not bother with this company. Clearly a bunch scammers.

Once sent items take around 6-12 working days to arrive to a customer in New zealand.

I recently ordered a game from this…

I recently ordered a game from this company which appears to be attached to XBite in UK.
After 6 weeks the game did not arrive and I had a fraudulent message from “NZ post” wanting more money for postage and trying to scam me of hundreds of British Pounds- I cancelled my bank card.
NZ games was apologetic and fully refunded me to my new bank card.
Although I never received the game,
I was relieved to be refunded and impressed with the friendly customer service.

Refund not given

Edit: I've upgraded the review to a three star as NZ Gameshop did issue me a refund after I contacted them on Facebook. The original refund was held up during a transition of ownership, apparently. Their website appears to be live again, so assuming they are back in business, I wish the new owners luck.

I ordered from NZ Gameshop but cancelled after the item was not sent out. I received an email saying I would receive a refund within seven days, but a month and a half later I have received nothing.

After notifying Xbite (the new customer service email), I was assured that a refund would be forthcoming, but have since received nothing.

This retailer used to be reliable with good prices so I am unhappy at leaving a one star review, however it is unacceptable to withhold funds following a confirmed refund request.
