No refund

I sent my item back on the 23rd of July, Nu-In received it on the 28th July. Okay, but they didn't send a confirmation to even say they received it so I still assumed on the 1st of August that it hadn't been received until I checked the UPS track link. I contacted them about this and was met with the platitude of 'We're currently in a pandemic!' however, there seems to something really off. I've never known a company to have to process the return for 30 days and then another 14 days for the refund to be compensated. Sounds like they want their customers to forget, no? I can understand the company being new but by their marketing it appears that they do have a steady flow of customers and their business is taking off so something isn't adding up. I'd love to hear the other excuses Nu-In has to offer. I guess it sustainable to just steal money from others now.

UPDATE: 13/08

So I received a refund for my items two days after I posted this review. I'm hoping that this review didn't influence NU-IN because I wonder about all the people that haven't submitted a review and are still waiting. I appreciate the refund but I won't go through the hassle again.

We hope you understand that the pandemic has been affecting us as well as launching a new brand at the time of the worlds most complicated time for everyone in the industry. People were losing jobs and companies were shutting down, and we have decided to still launch in the middle of the pandemic because we didn’t want to let our staff go, nor did we want our factories to lose our orders and that way cause the factories to lay off their staff as well

We launched with a risk and we see that we had many complications, but we powered through and we fixed them all. We are sorry but we are also proud of what we have made possible in the middle of the global crisis.
We’re a reliable and registered company and we couldn’t disagree more that we wait for customers to forget and we can assure you that is not the way we work. We process the returns every day, but please note that some returns may encounter a delay in reaching our warehouse due to external factors, mainly due to the pandemic, where some borders are closed, carrier services very limited and that could also depend on the distance, since our warehouse is located in Portugal.
Regarding the update you have done, no we have not refunded you because of have posted this review, we’ve refunded your order because your return was received and processed. We’ve checked and you have processed your return on July 23rd and your refund was processed on August 13th, which is within the period of 30 days.
Please note that we give a time frame up to 30 days for you to have an expectation of the maximum the returns could take, some returns could take 2 weeks to be refunded, others more. This includes the arrival, sorting, scanning and entering into our system. However, we’re not perfect and even though generally this is a quick process, our warehouse processes them in 2 working days, but in peek times, it could take a few more working days.

Beware of their conditions

I bought two items from them. None of them fit me so I sent the items back.

However when they confirmed that the items were received, they would only refund one of the because of the following conditions:
"For hygiene reasons, underwear briefs/thongs, bodies, socks, tights, swimwear bottoms and pierced jewellery cannot be returned or exchanged."

They should make this a lot more visible on their webshop. It's a natural part of buying clothes online, that they need to be exchanged to another size etc.

I will not shop here again.

Update: My experience has been taken seriously, which is positive to see. I have updated my rating, but I can’t completely disregard that the initial experience wasn’t good.

Since the beginning we display the information about the non-returnable and non-refundable items on our Return Policy, that is available on nu-in.com. However, we agree that some customers didn’t check the Return Policy before ordering from us and we have decided to include this information in each non-returnable items’ page more explicitly and we also blocked these items from the Returns Center on our website. Please note that we’re a new company launched in May and we have improved a lot since then and we’re always learning!
We agree that the information should have been more evident, so, for this reason, we have compensated you by email on August 31st.
We hope you understand that more than anything else, we're thinking about your own safety on not accepting the restocking of these items, because we don’t accept returns of underwear briefs/thongs, bodysuits (except for long bodysuits), socks, tights, swimwear bottoms and pierced jewellery due to hygienic reasons.
Regarding the sizing question, we’ve a very helpful tool on our website that can help you find your size and our customer service is always available to help you with sizing questions or anything else and to take care of you if your items doesn’t match your expectations.
We apologize for the incident and we’d like to tell you that you’re more than welcome if you ever decide to visit us again. We’ve just launched our AW collection and many collaboration collections. We’ve improved a lot and we hope you understand that our goal is to make you happy⭐️

Still haven't received a refund.

I absolutely love what this brand stands for and their products.
However I sent back a return and requested a refund over a month ago and I still have not received my money back. I've contacted them multiple times and keep being told to wait.
If you don't want to return items definitely purchase from them. But having to wait this long is unacceptable.

Thanks for your review.

You're right. We've issued a refund for your return on June 10th. However, after a few days you got back to us saying that you haven’t received your refund on your account. As you may know, some banks block international transactions and, as we recommend on our Return Policy if you do not see a credit to your account within 30 days, we recommend showing the refund confirmation as proof to the banking institution so they may help you facilitate the process.
You got back to us on July 28th and mentioned that your bank couldn’t help you and we immediately refunded you to an alternative payment method in the following day.
You’re absolutely right about your review, but please note that when you wrote your review we were going through a difficult period, with only 2 months after the launch, experiencing some technical issues and a high volume of messages but we always tried to make things right.
We’re sorry about this but we’re also proud to tell you that since then we have improved a lot, the issues were fixed, the customers were compensated and we’ve hired more customer care agents to be able to get help our beloved customers quickly.
