About Novorésumé - BEST AI Resume Builder
Written by the company
Novoresume is a resume builder trusted by over 18 million job seekers in 180+ countries. Founded in Copenhagen, Denmark, the platform was built around a single insight from recruitment research: recruiters spend just 6 to 7 seconds skimming a resume before deciding whether a candidate moves forward.
Most resume tools give you a blank page and wish you luck. Novoresume gives you a system.
What Makes Novoresume Different
- ✅ Recruiter-approved templates: every design is built around the 6-7 second scan, with visual hierarchy that guides the eye to what matters most: your experience, skills, and results
- ✅ Real-time content optimizer: as you write, Novoresume analyzes your content and flags issues with layout, phrasing, keyword density, and section completeness based on your target role and location
- ✅ ATS-compatible designs: all templates pass through applicant tracking systems without breaking formatting or losing data
- ✅ One-click customization: switch fonts, colors, layouts, and section order without starting over
- ✅ Cover letter builder included: matching cover letter templates that align visually with your resume
- ✅ Multi-language support: build your resume in your language, not just English
- ✅ Download in PDF and other formats: crisp, print-ready files every time

About the Company
Novoresume was founded in Copenhagen, Denmark by a team that experienced the job search process firsthand, including over 1,000 rejections between the founders before building the product they wished had existed.
The company has been awarded Denmark's Gazelle Award twice, recognizing Novoresume as one of the fastest-growing companies in Denmark. It remains independently owned and bootstrapped, which means product decisions are driven by what actually helps users, not by investor metrics.

Hi Polad! thank you for taking the time to leave a review.
To clarify: Novorésumé does offer a free plan that lets you create and download a CV. The PDF download of our premium templates requires a subscription, but our free templates with Basic Features are available without payment. When you select a Premium feature, you are informed about it immediately, and under "Download" you can see all Premium features used so you can switch them to Basic and download the document for free.
If you're open to it, please reach out to our support team and we'll make sure you get sorted. We'd love the chance to turn this around for you.

Hi! Thanks for the honest feedback. Just to clarify a few things that might change the picture:
Novoresume still has a free plan, same as always. You can build and download a resume at no cost. Premium is optional, and we don't auto-renew or lock you in.
On pricing: we're consistently among the cheapest options on the market. One month of Premium costs less than a dinner out. And considering that it moves your chances of getting past an HR screen from around 5% to over 75%, and that 83% of our users land a job in their desired field, it's probably the highest-return thing you can spend on during a job search.
We also don't run ads and don't sell your data. The product works for you, not against you. That's rare, and it costs something to keep it that way.
If pricing is still a concern, reach out to us at contact@novoresume.com and we'll see what we can do.

Horrible typical scummy internet internet service. Make you invest time into building a CV and then hit you with a paywall when you try to download it (which you need to use it in any capacity).

Hi Paul. Thanks for taking the time to leave a review.
We want to address this directly because the experience you described is not how Novoresume works.
We have a fully functional free version that lets you build and download a complete resume at no cost. The moment you select a Premium feature, the platform clearly flags it and disables the download button. Right below it, you can see exactly which Premium features are active on your resume so you can remove them and download for free. That information is always visible, always upfront.
We hear the frustration, but calling this a paywall trap is not an accurate description of what happened. You had the option to build and download a free resume at every step. If something felt unclear during that process, we are happy to help you get your resume sorted. Feel free to reach out to our support team and we will get it done.
Very Convenient...

Hidden paywall
Hidden paywall. Only at the very end, after giving the impression its free, do they tell you that you cant download to PDF unless you subscribe. Waste of time and effort.

Thank you for your feedback, Peter! We want to address this directly. Novoresume does not have a "hidden" paywall. There's a fully functional free version, and any Premium features added to your resume are clearly flagged in the builder (you are always informed and there is nothing hidden). You can remove Premium features at any time and download your resume for free. We're sorry if that wasn't obvious during your session, if you give us another shot, we're happy to help you get your resume downloaded at no cost. 😊
